Beautifully Happy Z-Fold Cards

The large floral design in the Beautifully Happy stamp set is the perfect size to decorate a card front with ease! I added it to a cool Z-Fold style card base for an even more dramatic impact! Background Basics—My card begins with a traditional 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock that's scored along the longest side at the 2-1/8" and 4-1/4" marks. I accordion folded the base, then added a 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper on the shorted card front to set up the color palette. Fantastic Floral—I stamped the Beautifully Happy sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a Basic White Deckled Rectangles die-cut. It's colored in with the coordinating, fill-in stamp images: Fresh Freesia ink for the flowers, Granny Apple Green ink for the leaves and Pale Papaya for the buds and small leaves. I also added a little tiny stamped bee in the corner with Memento Black Ink and colored it with Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Markers.

 

Lovely Layers—I layered a 3" x 4-3/8" piece of Fresh Freesia Dandy Designs DSP onto a 3-1/8" x 4-1/2" piece of Pale Papaya cardstock. The layers are adhered onto the short card front with SEAL Adhesive. Then, I popped up the stamped die-cut over the top with Dimensionals. 

 

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Beautifully Happy sentiment in Memento Black ink onto Basic White and punched it with the Double Oval Punch. I also punched a Fresh Freesia scalloped oval, adhered them together and mounted them at the bottom of the focal point.

 

Finishing Touches—I added a few Iridescent Pearls on the image for the flower center and to the top right of the flowers. I also added some awesome shimmer with Wink of Stella to the blooms and buds. Beautiful!

 

 

Inside the Card—I stamped a complementary phrase on the 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White inside piece. This one is the birthday greeting, and in the next card, I used the "feel better" greeting.

 

 

Two Cool—This version is created the same as the original with a different color combination led by the Dandy Designs DSP I chose for the front panel. The card base and scalloped oval is in Soft Sea Foam, and the Dandy Designs Coastal Cabana pattern is layered onto a Granny Apple Green piece.

 

Focal Point—I stamped these flowers in Fresh Freesia, with Granny Apple Green leaves. I used Dark Pool Party and Light Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Markers to color the buds and smaller leaves and bee.
