Cottage Rose Best Wishes Card
Dena Rekow created this simple and sweet Cottage Rose swap card for me. It's both beautiful and oh-so-quick to create!
Background Basics—Dena began by embossing about 2" of the end of a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Blushing Bride cardstock with the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder. She wrapped some Natural Finish Ribbon around the edge of that embossing, securing the ends on the back, then mounted the layer onto a Blushing Bride card base.
Focal Point—Dena stamped the Cottage Rose sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto a 3-1/2" x 2" piece of Basic White. She also added a Cottage Rose floral image, slightly overlapping the sentiment. It's layered onto a 3-3/4" x 2-1/4" piece of Blushing Bride. She adhered a 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Basic White to the front of the card, then popped up the focal point layers over the top with Dimensionals. She finished with a couple of Iridescent Rhinestones. So, so pretty!
Kim Vogel created this Cottage Rose swap card, another that has simple layers with ribbon and pretty texture.
Background Basics—Kim started her card by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock with the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder. Next, she layered a 3" x 4" piece of Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper onto a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Petal Pink and a 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" piece of Early Espresso. The layers are adhered to the center of the embossed piece, then she wrapped the layers with a piece of Natural Finish Ribbon, securing the ends on the back. All of those layers were then mounted onto an Early Espresso card base.
Sweet Sentiment—Kim stamped the Cottage Rose sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla, then punched it with the Lasting Label Punch. She added an Early Espresso Layering Circles die-cut circle behind the label, then popped it up with Dimensionals over the ribbon. She finished with a couple of Iridescent Pearl Jewels. So sweet!
