The beautiful Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder is not only perfect for Christmas cards! The textured foliage creates a lovely background for any time of year. Here, it's paired with some Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper for a pretty autumn-themed "Thinking of You" card.
Background Basics—The card starts by embossing the front of a Night of Navy card base with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. Next, the intricate die from the Merriest Frames Dies was used to cut a background from a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper. These dies come with the Merriest Moments Bundle, which includes the stamps, dies and hybrid embossing folder. The die-cut was then positioned inside the Merriest Frames Hybrid Folder and ran through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to add the detailed texture.

Double Embossing Layer—The outline frame die from the Merriest Frames set was used to die-cut another layer in Basic White. When the layers are adhered together with Multipurpose Glue, the Basic White layer provides an outline "shadow" around the DSP layer. Too Cool! The layers are adhered to the card front with Multipurpose Glue or SEAL Adhesive.
Sweet Sentiment—The same dies set was used to die-cut the Basic White stitched rectangle sentiment layer. It's stamped with a Beauty of Friendship greeting in Night of Navy ink. Some gold Simply Elegant Trim was looped and adhered to the back of the label with Dimensionals, then mounted onto the card front.
Finishing Touches—A few Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots were added around the sentiment. To finish it, tap the Wink of Stella glimmer pen over the card front to give it some flecks of shimmer. So lovely!

Merriest Moments Double Embossing Card
Here's another fun way that you can layer the Merriest Frames embossed background on your cards!
Background Basics—The 5-1/4" x 4" Cherry Cobbler layer was embossed with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder, then mounted onto a Thick Basic White card base. Next, the same size Evening Evergreen layer was die-cut with the detailed Merriest Frames die, then positioned inside the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder to add texture in a second pass. You technically can add the die to the inside of this special folder, but you won't get the detailed texture in one pass. This layer is added to the card front with Multipurpose Glue or SEAL.
Sweet Sentiment—The Basic White sentiment layer is die-cut from the Merriest Frames Dies, then stamped with a Merriest Moments sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink. It's attached with SEAL.
Pretty Poinsettia—The poinsettia flower layers were die-cut from the Snowy White Velvet Specialty Paper, as was the flower center from Crushed Curry cardstock. The leaf was stamped in Mint Macaron onto Mint Macaron cardstock then die-cut with the coordinating die. All the flower pieces are added with Multipurpose Glue or Glue Dots.
On this card, tiny Styrofoam balls were also added to the flower center with Multipurpose Glue, then colored with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Markers. As an alternative option, you could add some Bumblebee Matt Decorative Dots instead. So pretty!
