No LIVE Class This Week—I'm starting to cut back my hours as I get closer to baby girl's birth day. I'm moving a bit slower these days and there's still much to do before her arrival! Modified Maternity Leave—I'm now planning on being on a modified maternity leave between November 8 and January 31. What this means is that I will not be having regular events, LIVE Classes, daily blog posts, or regular Facebook posts. However, I'm not stepping away from my business completely! I WILL still be touching base with you as much as I can, giving you updates on Stampin' Up! promos, having some of my own specials, sharing creative ideas & tips, and, of course, giving you updates on baby girl. I want to still be accessible to you for ordering and any questions you may have. Gorgeous Leaves Intricate Leaves Cards
The Intricate Leaves Dies set has outline dies for all of the leave images in the Gorgeous Leaves set, along with several dies that create intricately-cut leaves in many shapes and sizes. It truly is a gorgeous bundle! I shared these examples during my LIVE Class last week.
Background Basics—I started by embossing a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Sahara Sand cardstock with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. It's layered onto a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Very Vanilla, then mounted onto a Blackberry Bliss card base.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped an Inspired Thoughts sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a 5" x 2" piece of Gray Granite cardstock. Then, I ran a strip of SEAL Adhesive along the top of the sentiment layer and secured a piece of the pretty Diamond Weave Ribbon on it. I cut the ends and frayed them a little for some interest.
Lovely Leaves—I stamped a Gorgeous Leaves long leaf in Mossy Meadow ink onto Old Olive cardstock, then die-cut it with the Intricate Leaves dies. I also die-cut a large Rich Razzleberry leaf and small Cajun Craze leaf with the die set. They are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue onto a Very Vanilla die-cut created with the Layering Circles Dies. It's popped up with Dimensionals. I added some bronze Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots, which have kind of a greenish hue and match the green leaf nicely.
Two Cool—I embossed the Sahara Sand layer with the new Timeworn Type Embossing Folder for this second card. It's layered onto Very Vanilla and mounted onto a Misty Moonlight card base. The sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink on the Gray Granite layer.
Sweet Leaves—The stamped leaf is the same as the first card and the intricate leaves are in Bermuda Bay and Misty Moonlight.
Awesome Accents—Instead of Brushed Metallic Dots, I altered the color of the Soft Succulent Genial Gems by coloring them with a Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Markers. These gems are perfect for altering in a variety of colors with the help of the alcohol-based Blends Markers.
I'm really liking this blue version quite a lot! What about you?!
