Marsha's Frosted Gingerbread What's Cookin' Cards
Marsha Henry shared some adorable cards that she created by combining the Frosted Gingerbread and What's Cookin' bundles. She said the Frosted Gingerbread images reminded her of baking cookies, so it just made sense to pair these two bundles for some yummy homemade cards! I don't have all of the measurements, but I hope that the cards give you some inspiration on combining these adorable images!
Bell Cookie Cards—Marsha die-cut the bells from the Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Series Paper and layered them onto a cool cookie sheet. She made the cookie sheet with a piece of Silver Foil and used a scoring tool to add a little ridge along the edges...Too Cool! The What's Cookin' bowl was stamped in Cinnamon Cider onto Cinnamon Cider cardstock, then she added a slit in the top with a craft knife so the whisk would look more like it's inside the bowl. So clever! She layered everything on a Basic White Colors & Contours die-cut.
Cookie With Oven Mitt Card—On this similar card, she die-cut the DSP star shape with the Gingerbread Dies, then hand-cut an oven mitt shape from another pattern of DSP. The spatula is in Silver Foil and the handle was cut separately in Crumb Cake to give it a wooden handle. She made another cute cookie sheet and layered it onto a Basic White Stitched So Sweetly scallop rectangle die-cut.
Ornament Cookies—Another card with a similar theme of die-cut ornaments from the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP, a cool cookie sheet, an Old Olive bowl with a slit for a Crumb Cake wooden spoon, and a rolling pin. Adorable!
Cookie Trees & Cutting Board—She die-cut the DSP tree images for this one, added a rolling pin at the bottom and a Crumb Cake Cookin' Dies cutting board. I love how she tied some Playful Pets Real Red Trim through the handle, just like a hanging cutting board would have! Cool detail!
Z-Fold Baking Card #1—Oooh, this is a fun one! She created a Z-Fold style card with a 11" x 4-1/4" card base, scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2". She included many of the same elements as the above cards, including the fussy-cut mitten cookies and die-cut DSP peppermint candies.
Z-Fold Baking Card #2—Marsha's final card features some DSP snowflake die-cuts and sentiments on Basic White Color & Contour die-cuts. So lovely!
