Dragonfly Garden Vertical Gate-Fold Cards
I often make gate-fold cards, but they are typically in the horizontal orientation. For today's cards, I turned the gate-fold to the vertical position for a fun and unique look.
Vertical Gate-Fold Basics—This card begins with a 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Gray Granite cardstock and scored at the 2-3/4" and 8-1/4" marks. I decorated the front panels with two 4" x 2-1/2" pieces of Peony Garden Designer Series Paper. (The card kit will have two different Gray Granite patterns, as shown in the video)
I wrapped some Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the top panel, tying it into a double-knot and trimming.
Wildflowers Background—I stamped the Dragonfly Garden wildflowers image in Gray Granite ink twice onto a 3" x 4" piece of Basic White. The flowers are colored with Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Markers and the leaves are colored with Gray Granite Blends. I layered it onto a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Gray Granite and mounted it onto the top panel with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Dragonfly Garden sentiment in Gray Granite ink onto a 2-1/2" x 7/8" piece of Basic White, then popped that up with Dimensionals, too.
Finishing Touches—I added a few clear Elegant Faceted Gems around the wildflowers for a little sparkle.
Inside The Card—Be sure to decorate the inside! I added another Gray Granite sentiment from the stamp set on the inside, then stamped the tiny dragonflies image in Petal Pink.
Two Cool—This version begins with a Bumblebee card base with coordinating Bumblebee paper from the Dandy Garden DSP. It's decorated with some Bumblebee Gingham Trim.
Wonderful Wildflowers—I stamped the wildflowers in Gray Granite, then colored them with Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends Markers. I also added some Bumblebee In Color Enamel Dots floating around the flowers. The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede.
