I had the opportunity to go to Lansing, MI, over the weekend to attend the Stampin' Up! OnStage event along with 13 of my Too Cool Teammates! Wow!

Fun & Fancy Flip Cards!
I received a super-cute Snowman Season flip card recently from Julie Davison and I couldn't wait to try it out myself! I was totally surprised at how easy it was to create! You can see the assembly in action on my LIVE Class video posted above, but here are the basic steps:
- I started with a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper. Using the Classic Label Punch, I came in from the 4-1/4" side, slid the paper all the way into the punch and center the punch side-to-side, then punched a hole.
- For the sliding part of the mechanism, I started with a 5-3/4" x 2" piece of cardstock and scored it at the 3-1/2" and 4" marks. Then, I inserted the piece, largest panel first, into the Delightful Tag Topper Punch (which I kept mistakenly calling the Ornate Tag Topper Punch in the video).
- Next, I folded along the score lines and inserted the shorter folded end up through the hole in the DSP. I turned over the DSP and added Tear & Tape Adhesive to the backside along three sides, leaving the slider side open.
- I adhered the DSP to the front of my card base about 3/8" from the left side of the card. Then, I added a strip of Tear & Tape unto the end of the slider, as shown.
- With the scalloped end about 1/8" - 1/4" away from the left side, I folded at the first score line to adhere the other end to the DSP.
- Next, I pushed the scalloped side through the punched hole until the next skinny panel appeared. I added Tear & Tape to that panel. Once the 2-1/4" x 3" focal point piece is decorated, it will mount flush-left on that skinny panel.
Background Basics—For my #Elfie card, I started with a Cherry Cobbler card base and a Wrapped In Plaid piece of Designer Series Paper for the background pieces. The scalloped pull mechanism is in Shaded Spruce and I added a gold/Vanilla Metallic-Edge Ribbon for the pull.
Focal Point—I stamped the #Elfie image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a 2" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Before coloring it in, I added a little Puff Paint to his hat and dotted on the paint all around the image to replicate snow. I used a Heat Tool to heat the paint for a few seconds until it "puffed" into little cotton ball textures! Too Cool! TIP: You can always add a little more paint if you need more puff. Also, if it puffs a little too much, you can manipulate the puff into the spot you want it while it's still hot.
Next, I colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers: Dark Cherry Cobbler for the hat, Light Cherry Cobbler for the stocking, Dark & Light Shaded Spruce for the stocking and Light Soft Suede for his hair and the jingle bell. I finished with some Wink of Stella on the bell and red parts. It's layered onto a 2-1/4" x 3" Shaded Spruce mat and mounted flush-left onto the flip mechanism.
Inside The Flip—I stamped the gift in Memento Black onto a 1-1/2" x 1-3/4" piece of Whisper White. It's colored in with Light Cherry Cobbler and Light Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends Markers, then accented with Wink of Stella. I added a sentiment from the same set in Shaded Spruce ink.
Inside The Card—The inside of the card is nearly as much fun as the outside! I stamped the larger #Elfie image in Memento Black on the side of a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock and colored it in with Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends. I added Wink of Stella on the hat, ornament and gift bow. And, I puffed up the fur-trim on his coat, as well as some puffed snow on the ground. The sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce to finishing it up!
Two Cool—This is the card that Julie Davison sent to me and I love it SO MUCH! Her project starts with a Real Red card base, a Let It Snow DSP background and a Coastal Cabana tag topper pull. She tied some Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon through the pull, which totally looks like snow!
Snowman—Julie stamped the Snowman Season image in Memento Black and colored him in with Dark Real Red and Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends Markers. She added some puff paint snow to cover the snowflakes in the image, as well as along the ground.
Inside The Flip—She stamped the Snowman Season sentiment in Real Red ink and the snowflakes in Coastal Cabana ink onto the inside flip panel.
Inside The Card—To finish the card, Julie stamped another Snowman Season sentiment and more snowflakes. So adorable!
