Stampin' Up! has announced that the popular Stampin' Trimmer will be discontinued due to challenges with the supplier. They are currently researching and exploring a replacement option, but have not found one in time to include a trimmer in the upcoming Annual Catalog. Current inventory of the Stampin' Trimmer is available while supplies last. Order Stampin' Trimmer Now
Limited Quantity of Replacement Blades Available—Stampin' Up! has ordered in additional quantities of replacement blades and will have them available now thru September, or while supplies last. I recommend purchasing as soon as you can, because I believe the inventory will be sold out WAY before September. You can currently order a maximum of 6 replacement 2-packs per order. Stampin' Up! has announced it is discontinuing it's partnership with the makers of Sizzix die-cutting & embossing products to begin working directly with a manufacturer to create new dies & embossing folders beginning with the NEW Annual Catalog! This means some big and exciting changes for these product lines! Stampin' Up! will have much more control and versatility when creating dies, so we will be seeing lots of fun & innovative new products in our future!
Get the full details on this transition here: Die-Cutting & Embossing Product Line Q & A.
Big Shot To Be Replaced By NEW Die-Cutting Machine—The Big Shot Machine will be retiring with the current catalog and Stampin' Up! will be replacing it with a brand new die-cutting system at a future date to be determined. The new machine is not yet ready to be released, so there will not be a die-cutting machine offered in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. The good news that we WILL start to see the brand new dies and embossing folders in the new catalog!
NEW Dies & Embossing Folders Will Work With Big Shot—The new dies and embossing folders will be a little different than the ones we're familiar with, but they will still work with the Big Shot. Because of the slight variation, you may need to use a shim of cardstock with these new products for best results.
Carryover Dies & Embossing Folders Will Transition To New Style—I'm so excited that there will be some popular current dies and embossing folders that will carryover into the new catalog and will be transitioning into the new style. These carryover dies and folders will continue on with the old style until their inventories are depleted, then they will switch to the new style. The only exception is the carryover 3D embossing folders, formerly known as Dynamic Texture Impressions Folders, which will not be immediately available when the catalog is released, but will be available soon after.
Remaining Die Inventory Heads Up—Effective immediately, any retiring die will be available while supplies last. Stampin' Up! will not be backordering retiring dies or replenishing inventory on these items. Carryover old style die inventories may also be depleted before the end of the current catalog, so there may be a gap when the die is not available until the new style inventory is released with the new catalog.

I love my trimmer and I am really upset they will
no longer carry the machine or the accessories.
Apparently no thought was given to those of us who purchased these items and used them constantly. I feel they have really given us a disservice by their failure to remember and care for those who have used and purchased these items for years.
They should consider carrying the accessories for this trimmer. To fail to do so leaves some of us with a machine that will not be operable in the future and require purchasing a new machine and accessories. This really upsets me. Perhaps we should be very careful what we purchase from Stampin' Up in the future.

Hi Gail. I’m very sorry that you are upset with the announcement of the Stampin’ Trimmer being discontinued. You are not alone! I know it is very frustrating when this happens to a product we use and love. I can assure you that this was a very difficult decision for Stampin’ Up! because this is a popular product for them. If you purchase replacement blades, then you are likely aware of the continued issues they were having with the quality and availability of these blades. This has been an on-going problem for years. It was challenges like these that caused them to start researching other more reliable options. Unfortunately, they were not able to have the new option ready for this catalog, but it is on the way! In the meantime, Stampin’ Up! has brought in additional inventory of the blades, which will continue to be available through September, or while supplies last. Obviously, this situation is not ideal, but I applaud Stampin’ Up! for cutting the ties with a supplier who was not delivering items to the high standards that we have come to expect with Stampin’ Up! products. I’m looking forward to a better trimmer option coming soon.
