All Is Bright Kit Kat Gift Card Holder

Hi Stamping Friends!

I've been putting the finishing touches on my craft fair projects and packing them up for my first craft fair of the season!  The Holly Days Craft Fair happens tomorrow at Deer Ridge Elementary on Scott Road from 9am – 3pm.  I'm at booths C41-C42, located in the cafetorium, across from the hospitality booth and silent auction tables.  I hope to see you there!

I'll be selling super-cute treat holders, stocking stuffers, gift card holders and greeting cards that make perfect gifts for friends, co-workers, teachers, babysitters, neighbors and more!  I take orders for larger quantities and will accept credit cards.

Today, I'm sharing one of the projects I'll be selling at the craft fair…a Kit Kat treat/gift card holder!

This festive treat holder does double-duty as a gift card holder, too!

It's a little box that stands on it's own with a pull-out pouch filled with a Kit Kat chocolate bar.  The bag can be opened up easily to add a gift card in with the Kit Kat—Too Cool!

Box Basics—I started by cutting an Acetate Card Box in half.  I found that if I lined up the edge of the unassembled box at the 4" mark, it would cut the box in half perfectly.

Next, I cut a 9-5/8" x 2-3/4" piece of All Is Bright Designer Series Paper and scored along the long side at the 1/2", 4-3/4" and 5-1/4" marks. Once you fold on the score lines you can slip the DSP inside the box to create a pretty liner that shows through to the outside. No adhesive needed!

Happy Christmas—I stamped the sentiment from the Flourish Filigree stamp set in Shade Spruce ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, then punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. I layered a 3-1/2" x 1/2" strip of Gold Glimmer Paper onto a Cherry Cobbler oval, die-cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits. It's attached with Tear & Tape, then the oval is popped up onto the acetate box with Dimensionals.  The sentiment is popped up on top of the oval foundation.

Bag Topper—The Kit Kat bar fits perfectly inside of a Clear Envelope.  I folded down the end of the envelope and sealed it, leaving about 1-1/2" of bag at the top to have something to clip the topper to.  The topper is a 4-1/2" x 3" piece of Cherry Cobbler, scored in half at the 1-1/2" mark.  I added a 4" x 1-1/4" Cherry Cobbler layer that was embossed with the Quilt Topper embossing folder.

Finishing Touches—I attached some Gold Mini Sequin Trim, about 7" long, to the topper with a Glue Dot.  Next, I die-cut a cute little tag with the Santa's Signpost Framelits from Very Vanilla cardstock and attached that with a Glue Dot, too.  My customers will be able to add the name of the recipient to the tag later.  The topper is clipped on with a Gold Library Clip, so that it's easy to get in and out of the cello bag without ruining the treat holder.  I finished with a Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon bow, attached with a Glue Dot to the clip.

Two Cool—I love how versatile this project is!  Customers will be able to change the look of the project by simply flipping the DSP inside out!  The cute polka dot pattern on the other side has more of a light-hearted feel for kids, while the pretty photographed pine boughs side is a little more elegant.

2017 Cookie Holders—I created similar pouches last year using the retired Merry Little Labels stamp set.  I still have this set, so this cute sentiment is available for commissioned projects.  As you can see in the photo above, you can put other items in the pouch, too, like a homemade cookie—Yum!

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE these super adorable treat items. The best part is the way you slide the DSP into the 1/2 cut acetate box because then you don’t see any adhesive but also you can switch it out for Valentines, etc! TOO COOL!
