Hi Stamping Friends!
Trees are a very versatile image in cardmaking, which explains why the new Rooted In Nature stamp set is an instant classic in my book! Of course the images are perfect for autumn, but they are an excellent choice for cards throughout the year, too!
Today, I'm sharing a couple of swap cards I received featuring the beautiful Rooted In Nature trees!

Rooted In Nature Tree Cards
I adore both of these Rooted In Nature swap cards; one is a little more simple, and one is stepped up. Both feature neutral Soft Suede and Crumb Cake colors and Designer Series Papers which are part of the Buy 3, Get 1 FREE DSP promo!
Created by Sandy Carlson at Stampin' Gem.
Background Basics—Sandy Carlson began this card by stamping a Rooted In Nature sentiment at the bottom right of a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. It's layered on a Soft Suede card base. Next, she adhered a 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Wood Textures DSP to a 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" mat in Basic Black.
She wrapped some Linen Thread around those layers a couple of times, tied it into a knot and adhered it all to the card front with SNAIL.
Sweet Sentiment—Sandy stamped the Rooted In Nature tree in Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and die-cut it with the Layering Ovals Framelits. It's mounted onto a Basic Black Layering Ovals scallop oval, then popped up with Dimensionals.
You can duplicate a card like this in minutes! Make a stack of them to have on hand, ready when you need them! Wonderful!
Background Basics—Dawn Bourgette designed this amazing card filled with lots of layers! She started by stamping a Rooted In Nature leafy branch image all over the Soft Suede card base with Soft Suede ink. Next she layered a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Nature's Poem DSP on an angle onto the card front.
Fabulous Forest—Dawn used the Rooted In Nature trio of trees image to create a whole forest of pines! On a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock, she stamped the trees multiple times in Tranquil Tide ink, stamping first in the foreground, then again in the background without re-inking. It's adhered to the card front with SNAIL.
I can't wait to try this multi-stamped forest look for a winter card with glittering snow on the branches! Can you see it? EEEeeee!
Sweet Sentiment—Dawn stamped the Rooted in Nature greeting in Soft Suede ink onto a 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. It's popped up with Dimensionals over a 2-5/8" x 1/2" Soft Suede strip that's banner cut on the end. She finished up the card by adding a Leaves Trinkets element with a Glue Dot. What a lovely touch!
