Hi Stamping Friends!
Everybody can use a little pick-me-up card now and then to brighten their day and the Lift Me Up bundle is the perfect stamp set for that occasion!
Today, I'm sharing one of the card designs from my February Stamp-of-the-Month Class featuring this fun & cheerful duo!

Lift Me Up Clear Blue Sky Cards—I love the clean and simple look of these class cards! They mostly feature die-cuts from the Up & Away Thinlits, combined with a sweet sentiment. It was fun to play with the different colors for the hot air balloons and class participants will be able to play with those colors, too!
Background Basics—The card begins with a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Soft Sky card stock. I stamped a Lift Me Up sentiment in Memento Black Ink near the bottom, then tied some Whisper White Baker's Twine around the layer. It's mounted onto a Basic Gray card base.
Clouds—I die cut both sizes of Up & Away Thinlits clouds from Whisper White and adhered them to the Soft Sky layer with SNAIL.
Balloon Basics—I started by die-cutting the large hot air balloon from Basic Gray card stock. You'll definitely want to use the Precision Base Plate and the new Big Shot Platform for the best success in using this intricately-cut die. Next, I used all of the five different framelits that cut the individual colored panels. I ran each one at the same time on five different colors of card stock: Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach. I selected the colors I wanted to feature, then adhered them to the back of the balloon with Multipurpose Glue (I have a TIP on that a little later). I popped up the layer onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Nice Note—I stamped the Lift Me Up note image in Memento Black Ink onto Flirty Flamingo card stock and die cut it with the thinlits, too. I trimmed the balloon basket off and added the note with a Dimensional instead. Sweet!
Finishing Touches—I added some Rhinestone Jewels along the outside of the balloon for sparkly goodness!
More Please!—I had lots of colorful panels left over, so I created several more balloons to use up the pieces! Here's what they look like on the back side.
►►Intricate Die-Cuts Adhesive TIP—I've recently discovered that my favorite way to apply adhesive to intricate die-cuts is to use the Multipurpose Glue and a Sponge. I squirt out a little of the Multipurpose Glue onto my Silicone Mat, then dab the sponge in it to apply a VERY LIGHT layer to the back of the die-cut. You just want it to be just enough glue to make it tacky, but not enough that it will squish out the edges. A little goes a long way! When you're done, just let the glue dry on the mat and peel it off. You'll need to rinse out the sponge immediately if you want to get the glue out easily. It works like a charm—easy and not too messy! Too Cool!
Too Cool—For the second version of my card, I kept the basket and die-cut a Flirty Flamingo piece to add behind it.
Sweet Sentiment—This set has all kinds of cheerful greetings, including congratulations, thinking of you and even a birthday wish! I love the fun & function of this delightful bundle!
Inside The Card—I mimicked the outside by stamping the hot air balloon and coloring with markers!
