Perched In A Tree Nature Sing Card
I love the soft, neutral look of this Perched In A Tree card created by Laura Milligan. The Aspen Dies provide a beautiful background for a simple and elegant focal point.
Background Basics—Laura die cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Sahara Sand cardstock with the Aspen Dies and used Dimensionals to pop it up onto the front of a Thick Basic White card base. She added a 4" x 1" piece of Splendid Day Designer Series Paper across the card front, then added a coordinating 4" x 1/2" strip, also from Splendid Day DSP, over that top.

Focal Point—Laura stamped the Perched In A Tree songbird in Sahara Sand ink onto a Basic White Designer Tags die-cut. She also added the sentiment in Sahara Sand and some flecks in Soft Sea Foam to finish it off. She tied a long piece of Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon through the tag and popped it up with more Dimensionals. Laura finished by adding a gold Festive Pearls embellishment. So, so pretty!
Perched In A Tree Kindness Card
Nancy Thompson created this delightful Perched In A Tree songbird card. I love the color combination here, too! Fresh Freesia looks so amazing with Soft Sea Foam and Soft Succulent!
Background Basics—Nancy started with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at the 5-1/2" mark and embossed with the Leaf Fall Folder across the card front. She then created a foundation for the focal point by layering a 3" x 4" piece of Splendid Day DSP onto a 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Blackberry Bliss and popping it up with Dimensionals.
Delightful Die-Cuts—Nancy used several die-cuts from the Aspen Dies for the focal point and sentiment embellishments. She die cut an Early Espresso branch and Blackberry Bliss Leaves for the bird to perch upon. Those ware adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. She also cut two aspen leaves; one in Soft Sea Foam and one in Soft Succulent. After the sentiment was added, one was tucked under the label and one was popped up.
Focal Point—Nancy stamped the Perched In A Tree bird in Blackberry Bliss ink onto Fresh Freesia cardstock and die cut it with the Aspen Dies. It's popped up with Dimensionals. She also stamped a Perched In A Tree sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Basic White All That die-cut label...popped up.
Finishing Touches—Nancy colored Rhinestone Jewels with the Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends Markers and floated them around the focal point. She also tied a double bow with Linen Thread and attached it onto the sentiment label with Multipurpose Glue.
