Today I have a couple of lovely swap cards featuring the beautiful Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folders. This one is a must-have for any stamping collection because it's perfect for the holiday season and beyond.
But first, a couple of holiday house-keeping notes...
Last Day To Order For Christmas: Stampin' Up! has announced that orders should be placed by December 9 if you want your products to arrive by Christmas. This is NOT a guarantee, but should give enough time for the order to arrive in a timely manner.
Gift Certificates Available: Not sure what to give? I offer Gift Certificates in any denomination so your creative friends & family can order exactly what they want! I will provide it in a hand-made gift card holder and can mail it to them directly, if desired. Gift Certificates are exclusive to Too Cool Stamping and can be used on any order placed through me, or any class or class kit that I offer.
The Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder provides an elegant backdrop for both simple cards and those with many layers! Selene Kempton created this simple & stunning card with beautiful Old Olive and gold accents! So easy to duplicate and so lovely!
Background Basics—Selene embossed a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White with the Evergreen Forest folder and mounted it onto a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" Old Olive layer. It's mounted onto a Thick Whisper White card base.
Sweet Sentiment—Selene stamped a For Unto Us greeting in VersaMark ink onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes circle and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. It's popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—The circle was accented with an All The Trimmings Old Olive bow attached with a Glue Dot. This ribbon is so pretty...shiny satin edged with sparkly gold threads! It comes in a pack with Poppy Parade, too! Selene finished up with a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots, including one on the embossed star above the sentiment.
Swap card created by Terri Gaines.
Evergreen Forest Season's Greetings Card
Terri Gaines created this holiday card with the Evergreen Forest texture in the background, and I love all the additional die-cut layers.
Background Basics—Terri began with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock, textured it with the Evergreen Forest folder, then sponged it lightly with Pear Pizzazz ink. I love how it really brings out the beautiful texture even more!
Pine Focal Point—Terri die-cut a Mossy Meadow tree with the Pine Wood Dies and layered it on some Stitched Nested Labels die-cuts in the Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow. The Pear Pizzazz label was also embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. The layers are popped up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—Terri stamped the In The Pines greeting in Mossy Meadow ink onto a 2-1/2" x 1/2" strip of Whisper White that she fishtail cut on the ends. It's adhered to the label with SEAL and the end is popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—The star of this card is the beautiful Gold Foil deer that Terri die-cut with the help of the North Pole Wonder Dies. Check out the detail on this die-cut...the fur and eye! Love it! The card is finished with several Gold Metallic Pearls scattered about the tree.

Inspired by Melissa Kerman at Melissa's Crafting Treehouse.
Power of Hope Double Embossed Cards
I received a cool Power of Hope card from Melissa Kerman with a stunning copper, Soft Suede and black combination and I couldn't wait to try it! I love how rich and elegant the embossing powder looks against black and also on the beautiful 3D Stone texture.
Background Basics—I started by adding a 1" x 5-1/2" Gold Foil strip along the left side of a Basic Black card base.
Embossed Layer—Next, I die-cut a large Stitched Rectangle from Soft Suede cardstock and then did some double embossing. I texture embossed the die-cut with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder first. Then, I dabbed the VersaMark ink pad randomly over the texture, sprinkled on some Gold Embossing Powder over the top and heated it with the Heat Tool until glossy and smooth. It's adhered to the card front with SNAIL Adhesive, or you could use Tear & Tape for a more secure hold.
Fancy Focal Point—I stamped the Power of Hope image in VersaMark ink onto a 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" Basic Black piece and embossed it with Gold, as well. It's popped up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I finished by stamping a Power of Hope sentiment in StazOn Jet Black ink onto a Gold Foil Layering Ovals die-cut. It's popped up, too.
Too Cool—My second version starts with a 5-1/2" x 1" strip of copper along the bottom of a horizontal card base.
The Soft Suede textured rectangle was embossed with Copper this time.
Focal Point—I embossed the same image with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder and stamped the sentiment on Copper Foil. So elegant!

April's Paper Pumpkin Kit focuses on creating projects that we can share with our closest family members. It includes 8 cards and a stamp set with sentiments you can use for both Mother's Day and Father's Day! Subscribe by April 10, 2020.
The tiny blooms pattern from the Flowering Foils Specialty DSP makes a fantastic background for the Tags In Blooms images. The flowers coordinate beautifully! Remember that you can earn the Tags In Bloom stamp set for FREE with a $100 order in March and you can earn the Flowering Foils DSP with a $50 order in March! I love these bonus products!
Background Basics—I started by adding a 1-1/4" x 4-1/4" strip of Copper Foil to the left side of a Rich Razzleberry card base. Then, I adhered a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of that Flowering Foils background paper. I tied some Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon around the card front into a double-knot.
Focal Point Layers—I stamped the Tags In Bloom floral label shape in VersaMark Ink onto a 2-3/4" x 3" piece of Petal Pink and embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder. I layered it onto a 2-7/8" x 3-1/8" piece of Rococo Rose cardstock, then popped it up with Dimensionals over the ribbon.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Tags In Bloom dotted label outline image in VersaMark onto Whisper White cardstock and embossed that in Silver Embossing Powder. After stamping the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry inside the outline, I punched it out with the coordinating Label Me Lovely Punch and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I used my Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends Marker to add color to some Basic Rhinestones and I floated them around the focal point layer. So lovely!
Swap card created by Lynn Feldkamp.
Two Cool—The second card is a similar swap card that I receive from fellow demonstrator Lynn Feldkamp.
Background Basics—Lynn texture embossed a 5" x 3-3/4" layer of Whisper White with the Stone 3D Folder, layered it onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Smoky Slate and mounted it onto a Thick Whisper White card base.
Focal Point—Lynn's focal point is a Smoky Slate Stitched So Sweetly scallop rectangle die-cut with a 3-5/8" x 2-1/2" layer of Flowering Foils DSP. She tied some Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon around it before adhering it to the card front with SNAIL.
Lovely Label—Lynn stamped the Tags In Bloom dotted outline and sentiment in Smoky Slate ink onto Whisper White and punched it with the Label Me Lovely Punch. It's popped up with Dimensionals, then adorned with a couple silver Metallic Pearls. Beautiful!

My final pair of cards from my Positive Thoughts LIVE Class were actually one created by me and a swap card created by LeeAnn Greff that inspired my card.
Background Basics—The Blushing Bride card base is cut a little shorter for a small front card panel. It measures 5-1/2" x 7" and it's scored at 4-1/4". I adhered a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of the NEW Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper from the Coordinating Products Release on the front panel.
Focal Point—I die-cut a Whisper White label using the NEW Nature's Thoughts dies for my focal point background. Then, I inked up the Positive Thoughts leaves image with Smoky Slate, stamped off once, then stamped onto the label for a light background. I mounted the label onto a 3" x 4-1/2" piece of Copper Foil and popped it up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Two Blooms—I stamped the Positive Thoughts bloom image in both Flirty Flamingo and Blushing Bride ink onto Whisper White, then die-cut it with the coordinating Nature's Thoughts die. They are added over the leaves with SNAIL adhesive.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Positive Thoughts sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto a 3-1/4" x 7/8" strip of Petal Pink cardstock, then fishtail cut the right end and mounted it flush along the edge of the label. I finished by adding a couple of Champagne Rhinestones.
Copper Butterfly—The butterfly image was stamped in VersaMark ink onto Whisper White, sprinkled with Copper Embossing Powder and heat-set with a Heat Tool until glossy and smooth. I die-cut that with the Nature's Thoughts dies, as well, then attached it with a Glue Dot. I finished with a single Champagne Rhinestone on the butterfly body.
Inside The card—I die-ct a second Whisper White label for the inside of the card, stamping it with the leaves with stamped-off Smoky Slate and the butterfly with stamped-off Flirty Flamingo inks. Sweetness!
Swap Card Created by LeeAnn Greff
Two Cool—The second card is the swap card that inspired my card and it was created by LeeAnn Greff. I love the bold, cheery colors and I especially loved the fun opening.
Background Basics—LeeAnn started with a Granny Apple Green card base with the same 5-1/2" x 7" measurements. Her card front is decorated with another pattern from the Pleased As Punch DSP that gives a subtle striped & distressed pattern to the card front.
Focal Point—LeeAnn stamped onto the label with Granny Apple Green leaves and Highland Heather blooms, then layered it onto a Highland Heather mat. Before mounting it onto the card front, she adhered a Whisper White decorative edge created with the the Delicate Lace dies.
Sweet Sentiment—She stamped the sentiment in Highland Heather and attached a Gorgeous Grape Mini Striped Ribbon knot onto the banner with a Glue Dot.
Butterfly—Finally, she stamped the butterfly in Highland Heather and added a Gorgeous Grape rhinestone from the Noble Peacock Rhinestone pack. Loveliness!

Positive Thoughts Hugs Prayers Love LIVE Class Cards
The Positive Thoughts stamp set is perfect for creating beautiful thinking of you and sympathy cards. I especially love the simple sentiment, "Hugs Prayers Love" to let the recipient know that they have my love and support.
Background Basics—The first card is part of my LIVE Class Kit that you can earn for FREE when placing an order with me this week. It begins by stamping the Positive Thoughts leaves image with Mint Macaron ink onto a Mint Macaron card base. I added a 5-1/2" x 1" strip of Petal Pink cardstock across the bottom and a 5-1/2" x 1/4" strip of Copper Foil for a little shine.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Positive Thoughts sentiment in VersaMark ink onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes circle die-cut. Then, I sprinkled Copper Embossing Powder over the words, tapped off the excess and heat-set with the Heat Tool until glossy and smooth. The circle is popped up with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Two Blooms—I stamped the flower image from Positive Thoughts in both Petal Pink and Blushing Bride inks onto Whisper White cardstock and die-cut them with the Nature's Thoughts dies. They are added to the circle with SNAIL. I also die-cut the pretty flower center die-cuts in Petal Pink and Blushing Bride cardstocks, and adhered them with SNAIL, as well.
Finishing Touches—I die-ct a Flirty Flamingo bitty butterfly with the Nature's Thoughts, attached to the circle with a Glue Dot. Next, I added Champagne Rhinestone Jewels to the flower centers and butterfly body. Finally, I tied a White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon bow and attached that with a Glue Dot near the flowers. Loveliness!
Two Cool—My second card starts with a Pool Party card base. I added a 4-1/4" x 1-3/4 piece of Heather Highland cardstock along the bottom and a 3/4" x 5-1/2" strip of Copper Foil along the side.
Focal Point—This time I stamped the flowers in Gorgeous Grape and Coastal Cabana inks, and they're adorned with Highland Heather and Coastal Cabana flower center die-cuts. The rest of the elements are similar to the first card. I love these fresh colors, what about you?

The Positive Thoughts stamp set has lovely elements for layering & stamping collage. Add the NEW Nature's Thoughts dies, and the collage possibilities are amazing!
Background Basics—I began by adhering a 2" x 4" Petal Pink gingham pattern from the Subtles 6x6" Designer Series Paper pack onto a Petal Pink card base.
Next, I stamped a Positive Thoughts sentiment in VersaMark ink onto a Whisper White label that has been die-cut with the Nature's Thoughts dies. I sprinkled Copper Embossing Powder over the words, then heat-set with a Heat Tool until glossy & smooth. I added a piece of the Petal Pink Metallic-Edge Ribbon around the bottom of the label, securing the ends on the back with SNAIL. The whole layer is mounted onto the card base with SNAIL, too.
Fantastic Foliage—I stamped the Positive Thoughts leaves in Soft Sea Foam ink and die-cut with the Nature's Thoughts die. It's popped up with Dimensionals. I also die-cut a small Copper Foil branch accent and added a small Whisper White Baker's Twine bow, both attached with a Glue Dot.
Bitty Butterfly—I finished by stamping the butterfly in Calypso Coral onto Whisper White, die-cutting it and popping it up with Dimensionals. I added a Champagne Rhinestone to the butterfly for a little sparkle. So pretty!
Two Cool—My second card starts with Purple Posy vertical card base and Highland Heather gingham DSP across the bottom.
This time, embossed a different Positive Thoughts sentiment in Copper Powder and added a Copper Foil decorative die-cut along the bottom.
Focal Point—The Soft Sea Foam leaves are the same, and I added a Highland Heather branch. I also die-cut a tiny Gorgeous Grape butterfly and attached it with a Glue Dot. I finished by adding a couple of Champagne Rhinestones to the butterfly bodies.
I also added a Gorgeous Grape larger butterfly, die-cut and attached with a Glue Dot, bending the wings up just slightly.

I created this card for a recent swap. I love that the Happy Birthday To You image is so amazing for coloring with Stampin' Blends Markers, but I wanted to try a look that didn't require any coloring. The gold embossed image looks fantastic, don't you think?
Background Basics—I started by stamping the Happy Birthday To You sentiment in VersaMark ink onto 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White. I sprinkled on some Gold Embossing Powder and heated it with the Heat Tool until glossy and smooth. It's mounted onto a Petal Pink card base. Next, I layered a 1" x 5-1/2" strip of Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper onto a 1-1/8" x 5-1/2" piece of Gold Foil, then adhered it to the card front.
Easy Embossed Focal Point—I stamped the Happy Birthday To You birthday cake image in VersaMark ink onto a 2-3/4" x 3-1/2" and embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder, too, It's layered it onto a 2-7/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Whisper White and is popped up with Dimensionals. I finished up with a Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic-Edge Ribbon bow, attached with a Glue Dot to the bottom of the cake. Lovely!
Created by BJ Peters.
Two Cool—I received this pretty swap from BJ Peters. Many of the elements are similar, including the gold embossing.
Background Basics—BJ embossed a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock with the NEW Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder, then mounted it onto a Soft Sea Foam card base. Next, she die-cut a Whisper White Stitched Rectangle, stamped the sentiment in VersaMark on the bottom and embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder.
Classy Cake—She stamped the Happy Birthday To You cake in VersaMark on the top of the die-cut, and embossed it, as well. She also colored in the flowers and leaves with Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends Markers. Like my card, she finished with a Petal Pink Metallic-Edge Ribbon bow. So sweet!
Get It FREE With Purchase—You can select the Happy Birthday To You stamp set for FREE when you place a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration, now thru March 31, 2020.
Today I'm sharing two beautiful swap cards that I received at our team event on Monday, both featuring the pretty Wrapped In Plaid Designer Series Paper.
Peggy Tassler created this lovely pine trio using items from the Perfectly Plaid suite.
Background Basics—The card begins with a 51/4" x 4" piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock with a 5-1/4" x 2" piece of Wrapped In Plaid Designer Series Paper across the bottom. The layers are mounted onto a Shaded Spruce card base.
Sentiment & Accents—Peggy created a foundation for her trio of pines with a Gold Foil Stitched Shapes circle die-cut. She adhered a piece of the Gold Metallic-Edged Ribbon under the circle before popping it up with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings and is stamped in VersaMark onto Whisper White, then gold heat embossed. She punched the shape with the Classic Label Punch, then tucked it under the circle and adhered it with SNAIL. A few gold Metallic Pearls dress up the top right half of the card.
Pine Trio—Peggy stamped the Perfectly Plaid whimsical pine tree image in VersaMark ink onto Whisper White and Shaded Spruce, then embossed them with Gold Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool. They were punched out with the Pine Tree Punch, along with a tree shape punched out of the Wrapped In Plaid DSP. Two trees are adhered with SNAIL and the Shaded Spruce tree is popped up with Dimensionals. Lovely!
Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and the Pine Tree Punch together in a bundle and save 10%!
Marsha Henry created her swap card in very similar colors, combining the Wrapped In Plaid DSP with the beautiful Peaceful Boughs Bundle.
Background Basics—This card begins with a 5-1/2" x 7-1/2" Shaded Spruce card base, scored at the 4-1/4" mark for a shortened card front. Marsha stamped the Peaceful Boughs image down the left-hand side with Shaded Spruce ink, then added a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of Wrapped in Plaid. Next, she added a 3-1/4" x 7/8" strip of Gold Foil for a little shine.
Focal Point—Marsha die-cut the pretty label shape from Whisper White cardstock with the help of the Beautiful Boughs dies. She stamped the pine bough in Shaded Spruce ink at the top and the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler. That layer is popped up with Dimensionals and hangs out over the edge a bit. Next, she used the same dies to die-cut the two-layer pine cones: the back solid layer with Soft Suede cardstock and the top detailed layer in Gold Foil. One is adhered with SNAIL and the other popped up with Dimensionals, then they are topped with a Shaded Spruce Striped Ribbon attached with a Glue Dot. Beautiful!
Inside The Card—Marsha added a 1" x 5-1/2" strip of Wrapped In Plaid DSP down the side to match the DSP on the front. She added a Peaceful Boughs Cherry Cobbler sentiment and Shaded Spruce pine bough onto a 2-7/8" x 5" piece of Whisper White to finish the inside.
Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the Peaceful Boughs stamp set and the Beautiful Boughs dies together in a bundle and save 10%!
I've finished up my 12-card Christmastime Is Here class projects and I'll be sending those instructions and card kits out tomorrow to everyone who has purchased the full Christmastime Is Here bundle from me! Here is the finished class...
I think you're going to LOVE the projects! I had a blast creating them! Don't forget, you will get the 12-Card Class for FREE when you purchase the entire Christmastime Is Here Bundle from me using HOST CODE UYQET9FP.Shop Here.
Today, I'm sharing two more cards from the class, and I'll be featuring another two projects on my LIVE Class tomorrow at 9am ET on my Too Cool Stamping Facebook page.
I think this card may be my favorite from the entire class, simply because it's clean & elegant with a wintery feel. The photo looks like the main image is stamped in Early Espresso, but it's really embossed in shiny gold!
Background Basics—I started with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock that I embossed with the Stylish Scroll folder. It's adhered onto a Soft Sea Foam card base with a combination of Tear & Tape and SNAIL.
Golden Rose—I stamped the Christmas Rose outline image in VersaMark ink onto a quarter sheet of Soft Sea Foam cardstock, then sprinkled on Gold Embossing Powder and heat-set it until glossy & smooth with the Heat Tool. Next, I die-cut the image with one of the larger Stitched Rectangle dies. I love the stitched look combined with the embossed background here! So classy!
Sweet Sentiment—I die-cut a Roses dies label shape from Whisper White, then stamped one of the Christmas Rose sentiments on it with Cherry Cobbler ink. To adhere the ribbon, I added a couple of strips of Tear & Tape adhesive to the back of the label, folded on the Gold Shimmer Ribbon, then popped up the whole thing with Dimensionals. I finished by adding a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots. So lovely!
Christmastime Is Here: Cherry & Gold Embossing
I enjoyed the look of the gold embossing so much that I created a second design using that style. It looks fantastic contrasted with the rich Cherry Cobbler color!
Background Basics—I started with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper that I mounted onto a Cherry Cobbler card base. I added a 4" x 1" strip of Gold Foil across the bottom to anchor the focal point and add a little more glitz.
Golden Rose—I stamped the Christmas Rose outline image in VersaMark ink onto a quarter sheet of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, then sprinkled on Gold Embossing Powder and heat-set it until glossy & smooth with the Heat Tool. Next, I die-cut the image with one of the medium size Stitched Rectangle dies.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Christmas Rose sentiment in Mossy Meadow onto another Whisper White Roses label die. It's popped up over the center of the embossed image with Dimensionals. I finished by tying a Gold Shimmer Ribbon bow and attaching it with a Glue Dot. Beautiful!
In Case You Missed It...I shared a couple of the Christmastime Is Here Class projects on last week's LIVE class:
Lightweight, portable and perfect for making accurate, straight cuts with ease! The NEW Paper Trimmer is here! I'm loving this new trimmer because it the beveled, larger blade simply cuts much better and more accurately! It comes with one cutting blade and one scoring blade. #152392 for $25.
I have another pair of Christmastime is Here cards to share with you today, both featured on my LIVE Class from last week. If you missed it, check out the replay at the bottom of this post.
Don't forget! When you order the full Christmastime is Here Suite Bundle, I send you a 12-Card Kit to kick-start your creativity! All the details are below!
The Christmas Rose stamp set is the first ever to include both Cling Mount and Photopolymer stamp styles. Stampin' Up! chose the style that worked best for the images: Cling for the outline and photopolymer for accurate placement of the two-step color images. Too Cool!
Background Basics—I started with a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock that I embossed with the 3D Tufted die. I layered that onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Gold Foil, then tied some 1/4" Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the layers into a double-knot. I used a combination of Tear & Tape and SNAIL Adhesives to mount the layers onto a Thick Whisper White card base.
TIP: I like to die-cut some Gold Foil shapes from the center of the Gold Foil layer, because it's so large and I don't want to waste any of the foil. Even if I don't use the pieces for this card, I can save them for future cards!
Fabulous Focal Point—The Christmas Rose stamp set has a lot of parts and pieces that come together to create a beautiful focal point bouquet, but don't be intimidated by that. Just take one image at a time and it comes together pretty quickly. I started by stamping the outline image in VersaMark ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then sprinkling Gold Embossing Powder over the top, tapping off the excess and heat-setting it with a Heat Tool until glossy & smooth.
Next, I added each of the colorful layers:
Rose image stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.
Add the three leafy images in Soft Sea Foam ink.
Add the Poppy Parade berries with the four berries dies.
Finish with Crumb Cake pine cones.
TIP:Use a tissue to wipe up any excess ink on the image that resisted the embossing powder. Otherwise, you risk transferring ink onto your cutting plates when you cut out the image.
I used the coordinating Roses Dies to die-cut the focal point and popped it up on the card front with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I die-cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock with another one of the Roses label dies, then stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Rose stamp set in Cherry Cobbler. It's also popped up at the bottom of the card front.
Finishing Touches—I finished with a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots around the focal point. So, so pretty!
Two Cool—I tried another color combination for the second card: Night of Navy for the rose, Soft Sea Foam for the leaves, Bermuda Bay for the berries and Crumb Cake for the pine cones. I love these colors!
TIPS: This is the card that I created on the video and I learned some tips while creating it. First, you can see some ink on the upper right tufted texture background that was excess "resisted" ink from the embossed image that should have been wiped off. Also, I found that because the Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay inks were so dark, and the gold embossing was so light, it was difficult to line up the rose and berries even with a see-thru photopolymer stamp. Lighter colors will work best on this one.
