I received a super-cute Thoughtful Blooms swap card created by Julie Davison and decided to CASE her card to feature at my Kickoff Party last month! Hers is the card on the right in the above photo. When I created my version, I was surprised at how easily the Thoughtful Blooms elements came together to create lovely floral accents.
Background Basics—I stamped the interlocking border image from Thoughtful Blooms in So Saffron ink across a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of So Saffron cardstock, then mounted the layer onto a Bermuda Bay card base. Next, I adhered a 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of So Saffron gingham paper from the Subtles 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack.
Terrific Twine—Have you selected the Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack from the Sale-a-Bration Flyer? I could have used either Daffodil Delight or Bermuda Bay twine from this pack to adorn the card front. It adds just a little bit of sparkle!
Focal Point—I stamped the Thoughtful Blooms leaves image in the corner of a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White using Pear Pizzazz ink. Next, I added the tiny blooms in So Saffron, and stamped a Memento Tuxedo Black sentiment in the upper left corner.
I stamped the larger solid blooms in Bermuda Bay ink onto Whisper White scraps and punched them out with the Small Bloom Punch. They are popped up with Dimensionals and adorned with Champagne Rhinestones. So sweet!
Swap Card created by Julie Davison.
Two Cool—The second card is Julie Davison's swap card and the background is created in a slightly different color combo. She used Pear Pizzazz for the card base, So Saffron for the background layer and Grapefruit Grove for the gingham accent piece.
Bitty Blooms—Julie stamped the leaves in Old Olive, the mini flowers in Grapefruit Grove and the larger bloom in So Saffron or Daffodil Delight. I love that she tilted the focal point a little for extra interest. Thanks for sharing your cute card, Julie!

There are so many pretty papers in the Best Dressed pack that I knew I wanted to create a couple of cards that really showcased those cool coordinating patterns! The shortened card front design is perfect for that, and all I really needed was a simple sentiment and a couple of accents to finish them up in style!
Background Basics—I started with a Mint Macaron card base measuring 7-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at the 3-1/4" mark. I decorated the front with a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of my favorite floral pattern from the pack, then added a 1" x 5-1/4" strip along the inside right side so that it peeks out from under the card front.
Next, I added a 3" x 1" strip of Mint Macaron card stock across the lower half of the card front to create a foundation for the focal point. I also decorated the front flap with some Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon, tied into a double-knot.
Fancy Focal Point—I stamped the Dressed To Impressed sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then die-cut it with the Stitched Shapes dies. I inked up the Dressed To Impressed splotch in Highland Heather, stamped off once, then stamped over the top of the sentiment to give it a little pop.
Finishing Touches—I punched out two Old Olive leaves with the Leaf Punch and adhered them to the back of the circle, then popped it up with Dimensionals. I finished by adding a few Champagne Rhinestones. So sweet!
Two Cool—The second card starts with a Blackberry Bliss card base, decorated with the Best Dressed DSP in the purses pattern and a coordinating striped Daffodil strip on the inside.
Fancy Focal Point—This time, I die-cut a larger circle and stamped a different sentiment with the same stamped-off Highland Heather splotch. Next, I hand-cut a perfume bottle image from another Best Dressed DSP sheet and adhered it to the focal point.
Inside The Card—Don't forget to decorate the inside! I added another Dressed To Impress sentiment with the same splotch. Love it!

March No Matter Matter The Weather Paper Pumpkin!
In March, Paper Pumpkin celebrates it's 7th year of bringing monthly creative kits to your door! To commemorate the occasion and thank subscribers, Stampin' Up! is including an additional FREE stamp set in the kit and a specially designed box! The kit will included all the supplies needed to create 12 cards with a spring theme...think daffodils and raindrops! Subscribe by March 10, 2020.
There's just something about these cute ladybugs that are irresistible! I created these cards for my Kickoff Party last month and I love how simple & sweet they turned out!
And, remember...although I didn't use them on this card, you can now purchase the coordinating Ladybug Dies as part of the Coordinated Product Release, going on now through March 31, 2020. Details here.
Background Basics—I started by texture embossing a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock with the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. Talk about some texture! The deep ridges and valleys of this folder are indeed just like a sheet of corrugated cardboard!
TIP: I recommend lightly spritzing the cardstock with some water before running it through the machine to reduce tearing the paper. I didn't spritz, so you can see some of the breakage of the paper fibers.
Next, I tied some of the Daffodil Delight Metallic Baker's Twine around the textured layer. That twine comes in the Sale-a-Bration Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack that you can earn for FREE with a $50 order. I mounted the layer onto a Melon Mambo card base with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Lovely Ladybug—I stamped the Little Ladybug image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes circle die-cut, then colored it in with Stampin' Blends Markers. I used Lovely Lipstick Dark for the wings, Smoky Slate Light for the body, Petal Pink Light for the face and Mango Melody Dark for the flower. I finished by adding some Wink of Stella glimmer to the wings and flower. After matting it onto a Black scallop circle die-cut with the Layering Circles Dies, I adhered the layers onto the card front with Tear & Tape.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Little Ladybug sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Stitched Shapes So Saffron circle and mounted it with more Tear & Tape. I adorned it with a single Champagne Rhinestone (or you can color a Basic Rhinestone with Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Markers).
Two Cool—The the second card, I started with a Coastal Cabana Corrugated texture, tied with the Bermuda Bay Twine from the Combo Pack and mounted onto a Bermuda Bay card base.
I used the same Little Ladybug image and same basic layout, too, just changing up the colors a bit.
Ladybug—This time the ladybug is colored with Calypso Coral Blends markers with a Bermuda Bay flower. I also added a little Flirty Flamingo to its cheeks.
Finishing Touches—I tried out a different sentiment this time, stamped on Grapefruit Grove card stock, and topped it off with a Noble Peacock Rhinestone.

There are SO MANY creative possibilities with the beautiful Peaceful Poppies suite! This pair of cards featured in yesterday's LIVE class showcases the pretty two-step poppy images with coordinating leaf dies and sentiments from the suite!
Background Basics—My local stampers may recognize this card from my Kickoff Party. This card begins with a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of my favorite Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper pattern, adhered to a Poppy Parade card base.
Next, I die-cut a Whisper White background layer with the Stitched Rectangles dies and embossed it with the beautiful 3D Stone Embossing Folder from the Power of Hope Sale-a-Bration Bundle. You can earn it for FREE when you place a $100 order during Sale-a-Bration! That layer is popped up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Peaceful Moments sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink onto a 3-3/4" x 1-3/4" Sahara Sand panel and mounted it onto the textured background with SNAIL.
Pretty Poppies—I stamped the Peaceful Poppies outline images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then cut them out. It's so easy to add color! I simply stamped over the images with the solid poppy image in Calypso Coral ink. It didn't cover the whole larger flower, so I continued stamping without re-inking over the white edges until I had the desired coverage. I love the layered look of the ink on these flowers and I think it complements the look of the poppies on the DSP. I finished by coloring some Rich Razzleberry ink in the flower centers with a Light Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends Marker.
Before attaching my flowers, I die-cut a Rich Razzleberry skinny leaf die from Poppy Moments dies and attached it to the stone with SNAIL. I adhered the smaller flower with SNAIL, then popped up the larger flower.
Finishing Touches—Last, but not least, I added a few Champagne Rhinestones floating around the sentiment. Man, oh man, those Champagne Rhinestones sure coordinating with A LOT of colors! So, so pretty!
Two Cool—My second card begins with a Blackberry Bliss card base and uses the same DSP.
Pretty Poppies—This time, my flowers are stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink stamped off once. I die-cut a large leaf shape in Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the foliage.
Finishing Touches—I tried a different Peaceful Moments greeting, then accented it with Merry Merlot colored jewels from the Holiday Rhinestones pack. Love this rich color combination!

I have a couple of pretty Paris-inspired cards to share with you today from the beautiful Parisian Blossoms suite! I love that this suite has so many different looks! I shared a couple of die-cut Eiffel Tower cards earlier this week that you can see here. Plus, there are also the beautiful cherry blossom images that can be seen on the Forever Blossoms cards. I'm loving how Stampin' Up! is combining two cool bundles in one suite for the ultimate in creative possibilities!
But first, just a reminder that today is the last day to RSVP for my monthly card class...
Create 4 all-occasions cards featuring new products from the Mini Catalog & Sale-a-Bration Flyer! Perfect for both new stampers and the stamping enthusiast! All supplies are provided! Bring a friend who's new to Too Cool Stamping and you both can pick 5 cards from my Card Rack!
I love the look of a stamped collage and the Parisian Beauty stamp set has lovely elements that make it easy!
Background Basics—I started by adhering a 2-1/2" x 5" piece of Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper onto a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Petal Pink cardstock. The special part of this DSP is the addition of champagne foil accents to many of the sheets. The pattern on this card has Eiffel Tower image in foil. I mounted the layer onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, then adhered the layers to a Whisper White Thick card base.
Collage Stamping—For the focal point, I stamped the Parisian Beauty Eiffel Tower stamp in Early Espresso ink onto a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White. Next, I added additional stamped elements, strategically placed to balance color and design. I added the seal and decorative border images in Cherry Cobbler, and the wavy lines and fleur de lis images in Crumb Cake. Then, I popped up the layer with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I die-cut the word "merci" from Champagne Foil using the Parisian dies and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
TIP: You can see on this die-cut that the poke holes from the die show up as embossed texture on the word. You can eliminate this look if you use a Precision Base Plate in place of the bottom cutting pad. Check out the die-cut on the second card below to see the difference. If you don't already have this plate, unfortunately it is not available. The Precision Base Plate, along with all Big Shot Sizzix supplies, have been retired. But, I'm hopeful that Stampin' Up! will have a similar plate when they unveil their new die-cutting system later this year.
I finished by adding a few Champagne Rhinestone Jewels floating around the collage. Remember that you can get a FREE pack of Champagne Rhinestones when you place a $75 order from my Online Store this month using the Host Code 4WK64W7C.
Two Cool—I used the same design on the second card along with different colors and a different die-cut word. This would be a nice card to give for Valentine's Day! This DSP pattern is layered onto Pool Party cardstock and then mounted onto a layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock.
Collage Stamping—The Cherry Cobbler elements were changed to Pretty Peacock on this card.
Sweet Sentiment—Take a closer look at this Champagne Foil die-cut...no embossed holes from the dies! I used the Precision Base Plate and achieved a smooth metallic look that I prefer.

It's the FINAL DAY to register for Sunday's Sale-a-Bration & Mini Catalog Kickoff Party! Don't miss this fun & fantastic once-a-year event! I still have a few spots remaining and, if you're in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area, I'd love for you to join us!
Today, I'm sharing another pair of cards that I featured on yesterday's LIVE Class video. With two days of steady rain predicted for our area, the Under My Umbrella could not be any more fitting! The good news is that drier weather is expected for event-time on Sunday, so there are no weather worries for the Kickoff Party! Get all the details below...
Want to make the projects I demonstrated during the LIVE Class? I'll send you a FREE LIVE Class Kit for this week's projects when you place an Online Order of $35 or more using HOST CODE B939U64P. Class kit will included all the pre-cut supplies & embellishments to create 6 cards, 2 each of 3 styles. Offer ends Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Kits will be mailed out by Friday, January 31.
During yesterday's LIVE Class, I featured some different ways that Designer Series Paper can be used instead of a traditional coloring method. Today's card uses some simple stamping on DSP to add quick color and patterns to images.
Background Basics—This card starts by adhering a 5-1/4" x 1-1/4" piece of Mint Macaron gingham from the Subtles 6" x 6" DSP pack across the bottom of a 5-1/4" x 4" layer of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped an Under My Umbrella sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink above the gingham on the right side.
Next, I adhered the layer onto a Mint Macaron card base and tied some Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon around the card front, tying it into a double-knot. I also added some Champagne Rhinestone Jewels under the ribbon for some sparkle.
Floral Umbrella—Isn't this floral umbrella so lovely?! I started by embossing a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Mint Macaron with the Beads & Bauble folder and popping it up onto the card front. Then, I stamped the Under My Umbrella image directly onto a floral pattern from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper and punched it out with the Umbrella Builder Punch. I also punched out a Basic Black umbrella handle. The handle is adhered with SNAIL and the umbrella is popped up with Dimensionals.
Rubber Boots—I stamped the boots image from Under My Umbrella in Memento Black onto another pattern of Best Dressed DSP and hand-cut them out with Paper Snips. They are popped up, as well.
Two Cool—For the second version, I started with Purple Posy for the card base and included some Highland Heather gingham DSP down the side.
This time, I tied White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon around the card front and added a different Under My Umbrella sentiment.
Floral Umbrella 2—I selected a different floral pattern from Best Dressed to coordinate with the Purple Posy embossed layer. I finished with Basic Rhinestone Jewels that kind of look like raindrops falling...don't you think?

During this morning's LIVE Class on Facebook, I shared some fun ways to stamp on Designer Series Paper as an alternative to coloring a stamped element. I had so much fun creating different kimono patterns for this card...and it's so easy! I used the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper and the Paper Piecing Technique! Watch today's LIVE Class Video Replay linked above to see this technique in action!
Background Basics—This card begins by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pool Party cardstock with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder. The folder is part of the Power of Hope Bundle, which you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a $100 order! I adhered it onto a vertically-folded Pool Party card base.
Next, I adhered a 4" x 1-1/4" piece of Lily Impressions DSP across the lower half of the card and a 1" x 5-1/4" strip of Champagne Foil down the side of the card to create a base for my focal point.
Cool Kimono—I die-cut a Whisper White label shape using the Painted Labels dies and stamped the Power of Hope image on it in Memento Black ink. For the Paper Piecing Technique, I stamped the image again onto a pattern of the Lily Impressions DSP, cut out the kimono shape with my Paper Snips, and adhered it over the top of the original stamped image. It's a very forgiving technique, so don't worry if you don't stay on the lines perfectly.
I finished by coloring in the rest of the image with Stampin' Blends Markers: Pool Party for the umbrella, Ivory for her face and Light Black for her hair. It's popped up with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the sentiment onto a 2-1/2" x 1/2" piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock, fishtail cut the end and popped it up with Dimensionals. Finally, I added a couple of Holiday Rhinestones on the foil. Love it! We'll be making this card at the Kickoff Party!
Two Cool—For the second version, I started with Purple Posy for the card base and background and added a coordinating Lily Impressions strip on the background.
Cool Kimono—I selected a different Lily Impressions DSP pattern for the kimono on this one and colored the umbrella with Purple Posy and Rich Razzleberry Light Blends. The sentiment is on Pool Party cardstock. I can't wait to try more kimono patterns...maybe even with different DSP from the Mini Catalog! Which one should I try next?

With all the amazing bundles in the Mini Catalog, it may be easy to overlook the unassuming Music From The Heart stamp set. If you have any musical family members or friends, however, this set is a must-have for your collection! I'm sharing a couple project ideas with this set today, and one of them is a card we'll be creating at Sunday's Sale-a-Bration & Mini Catalog Kickoff Party!

Fort Wayne Area Stampers! Don't Miss This Huge Annual Event!
From musical notes and heart-shaped pianos to flowing keys and lovely sentiments, the Music From The Heart stamp set is packed with adorable music-themed elements that can be combined to create all kinds of cards! This set was inspired by million dollar achiever Dawn Olchefske and her presentation of the set at the last OnStage event showed all the thought and heart she put into the design. You can see a video of her beautiful projects here: Music From The Heart Introduction. It's worth a look!
Background Basics—I started this card by stamping a Music From The Heart sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 5-1/2" x 1-1/4" of Basic Grey. I adhered it to a Real Red card base.
Musical Notes—Next, I stamped the music staff image in Memento Black down a 1-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White, then I added some individual notes randomly across the staffs. I tied some beautiful Real Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon around the middle of the card.
Pretty Piano—I finished by stamping the pretty heart-shaped piano image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White and die-cutting it with a Stitched Shapes circle die. It's popped up with Dimensionals and accented with a few Real Red Rhinestone Jewels. So, so pretty!
Designed by Dawn Olchefske.
Two Cool—For the second version, I did an identical re-creation of one of Dawn Olchefske's cards from her presentation. I LOVE this card so much! We'll be creating this one at my Kickoff Party this weekend!
Flowing Keys—I stamped the Music From The Heart flowing keys image repetitively down a 2" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock and mounted it onto the Basic Black card base with SNAIL adhesive.
Pretty Piano—This time, after creating the piano element, I attached some Real Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon to the back of the circle with Tear & Tape Adhesive, then popped it up onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—The sentiment was stamped onto Whisper White scrap cardstock, then punched out using the Story Label Punch. I also added a little bird holding a Real Red mini heart. I love how that little heart image adds so much to the meaning of the words! I punched a second Story Label Punch in Real Red cardstock, cut it in half length-wise and re-positioned the top and bottom halves to peek out from underneath the sentiment. It's popped up with Dimensionals, too. Thanks so much to Dawn Olchefske for sharing her beautiful stamp set with us! You will not be disappointed if you purchase this set!

The NEW Country Club suite from the Mini Catalog holds a special place in my heart because it reminds me of my dad. He wasn't a "country club" kind of guy, but he sure loved to golf any time he got the chance! If you have golfers on your card list, this is certainly a group of masculine items you should have on your wish list!
We'll be making the first card below at my Sale-a-Bration & Mini Catalog Kickoff Party, coming up on Sunday, January 26, here in my Fort Wayne, Indiana studio. If you're in the area, don't miss this HUGE event! We'll make 20 unique, all-occasion cards using more than 4 dozen NEW stamp sets, tools and accents from the Mini Catalog & Sale-a-Bration Flyer and there will be lots of prizes and fun all afternoon! This is my biggest local event of the year! Attendees now have until Friday, January 24 to sign up! Check out all the details below...

There are lots of fun golf-themed paper patterns in the Country Club Designer Series Paper pack, so I created a couple of awesome golfer cards to highlight a few of my favorites!
Background Basics—This Kickoff Party card begins with 4" x 3-1/2" and 4" x 2" pieces of Country Club DSP adhered to the top and bottom of a Night of Navy card front. I added a contrasting 4" x 1/2" strip of Poppy Parade cardstock across the center for a pop of color.
Great Golfer—I kept the focal point simple, stamping the Clubhouse golfer in Night of Navy ink onto a 2-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. It's layered onto a 2-3/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Crushed Curry cardstock, then popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Clubhouse greeting in Night of Navy ink onto a Whisper White die-cut using the Ornate Frames dies. It's layered onto a Garden Green square die-cut with the Stitched Shapes dies. I attached it with SNAIL adhesive over the focal point with a couple Dimensionals under the right side. It's finished with a couple of Night of Navy jewels from the Holiday Rhinestones pack.
Two Cool—For the second version, I started with a Garden Green card base and tried two different patterns of Country Club DSP. The focal point is the same, but I mounted it at an slight angle, mostly so more of the flags would show behind it. I added the Holiday Rhinestones at the top left, too.
Sweet Sentiment—This time, I stamped the Father's Day greeting in Night of Navy onto scrap Whisper White and hand-cut the shape with Paper Snips. It's adhered onto a Garden Green Stitched Shapes circle die-cut, then layered over the featured element with SNAIL and a couple Dimensionals. I added one Holiday jewel here, too.

It's about 9° here in Fort Wayne, Indiana, this morning with a -10° wind chill, so I'm dreaming of warmer temperatures and enjoying a tropical oasis. One thing good about this frigid weather...I can hunker down in my Too Cool Stamping Studio and create pretty papercrafts, like these cards featuring the Tropical Oasis suite. We'll be making the first Pretty Peacock color card at my Kickoff Party event next Sunday...no matter what the weather feels like!
Background Basics—I started by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock with the suite's Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder and mounted it onto a Pretty Peacock card base using a combination of Tear & Tape and SNAIL adhesives for a secure hold. Next, I adhered a 4" x 2" piece of Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper across the bottom half of the card.
I added a strip of Tear & Tape along the top of the DSP, then attached a piece of the 5/16" Braided Burlap Trim to it for a fun, textured element. Before mounting it, I loosened up some of the weave and frayed the ends.
Perfect Palms—I stamped the Timeless Tropical palm tree image onto a 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White. To get the two-color look, I colored directly onto the red rubber stamp with Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers. Using the side of the brush tip, I gently added the color, then "huffed" onto the stamp to re-activate the color, and stamped it. I love this classic coloring technique! The stamped piece was layered onto a 2-5/8" x 3-3/8" piece of Soft Suede cardstock, then popped up over the burlap trim with Dimensionals.
I finished by adding a couple of Pretty Peacock jewels from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones pack.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Timeless Tropical sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto Mint Macaron cardstock, then die-cut it with the Stitched Shapes dies and popped up with more Dimensionals.
Two Cool—For my second horizontal card, I started with a Soft Sea Foam textured layer mounted onto a card base in the same color. This time, I tried the Tropical Oasis DSP with the fun beach vacation cars...love this pattern! I added some Braided Burlap across the right lower part of the card.
Peaceful Palms—The palm tree focal point is the same as the first card, popped up over the frayed burlap.
Sweet Sentiment—I changed up the Timeless Tropical sentiment and stamped it onto a 3" x 3/4" piece of Mint Macaron. It's adhered with SNAIL adhesive across the bottom of the palm trees, then accented with Old Olive Noble Peacock Jewels. What a lovely card for someone who's retiring, especially if they are heading to warmer climates!
