First Frost Simply Thankful Gift Box Card
Card Base—You'll need to get out your Stampin' Trimmer for this to make it easy. I started with a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" card base in Tranquil Tide. After scoring down the middle at the 4-1/4" mark, I cut out the hole that will hold the gift box.
• With the 5-1/2" side at the top, I cut at the 2-1/2" mark, from the 2-1/4" point to the 6-1/4" point.
• At the 4-1/2" mark, I repeated the cut from the 2-1/4" point to the 6-1/4" point.
• Then I turned the cardstock with the 8-1/2" side at the top and connected the cuts.
Card Base—I first stamped one of the tall flower images from First Frost in Tranquil Tide ink on the left side of the hole. Next, I adhered a 5-1/2" z 1-1/4" strip of Floral Frost Designer Series Paper across the bottom. I added a 3" x 1/2" strip of Night of Navy cardstock that I fishtailed over the DSP. I also used the coordinating Frosted Bouquet Framelits to die-cut Granny Apple Green branch.
Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the First Frost stamp set and the Frosted Bouquet Framelits together in a bundle to save 10%.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Country Home greeting in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then die-cut it with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I adhered the branch behind the oval, then popped it up with Dimensionals. I finished by adding a couple of Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Gray Granite to match the pearlized soft suede striped DSP.
Gift Box—I cut a 2" x 6" piece of the Floral Frost DSP, then scored it at the 2" and 4" marks and lined a Clear Tiny Treat Box with it. I added a Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon bow to the top with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I put a Ferraro Rocher chocolate candy on the inside. The gold wrapper looks great with the project.
Assembly—The gift box simply slides into the scored side of the closed card, then I open it and adjust it so that it stands up nicely. If your treat is too heavy, it may cause the sides of the card to sag a bit. Keep the contents light for best results!
