This week, it's a good time to review the catalogs and order those favorite items that we KNOW will be retiring!
Fair Warning—2015-2017 In Colors Will Go Quickly!
In Colors are trendy, temporary colors in the Stampin' Up! color family, that only stick around for 2 years! Each year, we get 5 new colors and 5 colors leave the line-up. Starting April 10, we'll be saying good-bye to Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. Since the Retiring List is while supplies last on everything but stamp sets, the In Color inks, markers, card stock, ribbon & embellishments typically go quickly! Don't get caught without your favorite colors! Stock up NOW!
You can count on all of the Designer Series Papers from the Annual Catalog and the Occasions Catalog to be on the Retired List! Stampin' Up! gets rid of all of them to make room for exciting new styles, colors and patterns to play with in the new catalog! They will all be While Supplies Last beginning on April 10, so get your favorites while they are still here!

Have you tried out the ultra-cool Celebrations Duo "debossing" folders yet?! I can't stop making cards with them! I love the reversed embossing concept and these folders and coordinating Happy Celebrations stamp set makes it so fun & easy to achieve! We created this card design at our Occasions Catalog Kickoff Party!
Background Basics—I started by embossing a 5-1/2" x 1-1/4" piece of Perfect Plum card stock with the Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder and adhered the strip to the Bermuda Bay card base. TIP: I like to use a couple strips of super-sticky Tear & Tape Adhesive along with SNAIL to help secure this deeply textured paper.
Celebrate Highlights—I ran a 4-3/4" x 3-3/8" piece of Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot with the Celebrations Duo embossing folder to create the "debossed" sentiment. I embossed the word about 3/4" from the top, leaving room for the ribbon at the bottom.
Next, I stamped the long swoosh image from the Happy Celebrations stamp set over the center of the word in Bermuda Bay ink. I stamped the same swoosh in the opposite direction in Perfect Plum underneath the original swoosh, and again in Pear Pizzazz ink above the original swoosh. TIP: The Stampin' Scrub makes it super-fast to "wash" and "dry" your stamps in between colors!
Sweet Sentiment—I die-cut a small label with the Bunch of Banners Framelits, then stamped the rest of the sentiment from Happy Celebrations in Bermuda Bay ink on it. It's popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I added some colorful Perfect Plum & Old Olive Enamel Dots accents floating to the side. I wrapped some of the silver Metallic Ribbon, from the Sale-a-Bration combo pack, around the layer and tied into a double knot. I mounted this layer onto a 4-7/8" x 3-1/2" layer of Pear Pizzazz and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Two Cool—I tried a different color combination for the second version. The card base is in Rose Red, and the Rich Razzleberry strip along the bottom was embossed with the Festive Texture Impressions Folder.
The used Peekaboo Peach, Rose Red and Rich Razzleberry inks for the swoosh stamping. The sentiment is stamped in Rose Red and the Enamel Dots are in Peekaboo Peach. I finished with the gold Metallic Ribbon this time.
Stampin' Up! has kicked off a brand new promotion specifically for first-time Paper Pumpkin subscribers! Check it out!

Along with the fun swirls in the Swirly Bird stamp set, you can also find little birdy, nest and eggs images that you can combine with a swirl to make a cute little nest. I tucked my bird inside a blooming swirly wreath...So Cute! Let's take a closer look...
Background Basics—This card begins with a Crumb Cake card base and a 1/2" x 5-1/2" strip of gold striped paper from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a greeting from the Rose Wonder stamp set in Soft Suede ink along the bottom of a 3" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock. I matted that onto a 3-1/8" x 5-1/2" layer of Early Espresso, then tied 1/8" Gold Ribbon around both layers before popping them up with Dimensionals onto the card base.
Swirly Wreath—I die cut the Crumb Cake wreath shape using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, attaching it to the card front with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen. It's decorated with tiny roses & daisies made with the two small Swirly Bird swirl stamps. Like yesterday's project, I found it easiest to die cut a bunch of the flower shapes with the Swirly Scribbles die from Whisper White card stock, then stamp over the top of them with the flowers. The largest roses are stamped in Flirty Flamingo, the smaller flowers are in Peekaboo Peach and the daisies are in Sweet Sugarplum. They are all popped up with Dimensionals.
Bitty Birdy—The bird is stamped in Tip Top Taupe and hand-cut with Paper Snips and popped up with Dimensionals.
Bundle It & Save—Save 10% when you purchase the Swirly Bird stamp set and the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits together in a Bundle! If you're getting the Class Kit, be sure to upgrade to the Swirly Bird Bundle to maximize your savings & versatility!
Finishing Touches—Finally, I added a few White Perfect Accents embellishments around the wreath for more eye-catching shine!
Two Cool—For my second version, I tried out some cool-tone colors! You can select ANY colors when you purchase my Swirly Bird Class Kit!
These blooms were made with Pool Party, Mint Macaron & Wisteria Wonder. I stamped a bird nest in Crumb Cake and eggs in Pool Party stamped off once. All pieces were hand-cut with super-share Paper Snips and popped up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—This time, I stamped a greeting from the Watercolor Wishes kit. It's a very versatile, all-occasion stamp set that will work with any of the cards from this kit!
Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
►►NEW "I Stamped This" Stamp Set (144274 clear, 137049 wood)—Includes two sizes of the Stampin' Up! copyright that complies with their Angel Policy, allowing you to use Stampin' Up! images on any hand-made creation you wish to sell at craft fairs or online. This stamp set is available thru May, 2017.

Receive card stock, ink, refill, ribbon and a marker in each month's featured color. Plus, you'll have supplies to create 4 each of all 5 card designs shown above featuring the new colors!
In Colors Botanicals Card—I've been having fun playing with the new In Colors this week to prepare for my In Color Club kits! I'm loving these colors together and they look lovely on this card featuring flower die-cuts from the Botanical Builder Framelits! If you're part of my In Color Club, you'll receive supplies to make 4 of this card style during your Sweet Sugarplum month!
Background Basics—This card begins with a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Whisper White that I lined along the bottom with some Playful Palette Designer Series Washi Tape. The ends of the tape are wrapped around the back. That layer was matted on a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock, then adhered to a Flirty Flamingo card base.
Botanical Blooms—I created a bouquet of blooms using the Botanical Builder Framelits in the following In Colors:
Flirty Flamingo: Large and small flower.
Sweet Sugarplum: Medium flower.
Peekaboo Peach: 2 one style of flower center & 1 of the larger center.
Emerald Envy: Two styles of leaves.
I adhered the leaves and the small flower with SNAIL, then popped up the larger blooms with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I added Blushing Bride Sequins to the flower centers and a few floating around the flowers, all adhered with Glue Dots.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a greeting from the Love & Affection photopolymer stamp set with Sweet Sugarplum ink.
Two Cool—My second card uses the same basic elements, except I switched to vertical, tried Peekaboo Peach for the card base and alternated the two flower colors. I also applied a different, lighter pattern from the Playful Palette Washi Tape, running it up the side to create a cross over the other style.
Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

$5 Paper Pumpkin Kit Special—Thursday, June 9, at 5pm (MT) thru Friday, June 10, at 11:50pm (MT).
Party Pop-Up Cake Card—Yesterday was my husband's birthday, so I wanted to make a card with a little more splash and pizzazz than usual. I turned to the Party Pop-Up Thinlit dies to help me make a phenomenal-looking pop-up card, without a phenomenal amount of work! I've shared all the details below.
Background Basics—I started the card by cutting a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8' piece of the retired Party Wishes Designer Series Paper (any DSP will do). I matted it onto a 4" x 5-1/4" Basic Black layer and adhered it to a Melon Mambo card base. I had ordered the new Layering Circles Framelits, but since they had not arrived yet, I used my retired Circle Collection Framelits to create a Basic Black focal point foundation.
Party Cake Die-Cut—I die-cut the intricate birthday cake from Whisper White card stock using one of the two dies from the Party Pop Up Thinlits. Because of the complex cuts, you'll want to use a Precision Base Plate to help cut this one, and the Big Shot Die Brush makes quick work of getting all those bits & piece out of the die-cut and the die. This die-cut can be used as a pop-up feature for the inside of the card, but I trimmed away the edges of the die-cut to make it an embellishment instead.
Cake Decorating—I used Sponge Daubers to very gently dab on color to decorate the cake. I started by adding Crushed Curry to the flames and the center of the cake, then I added Melon Mambo to the top and Mint Macaron to the pedastal. I used the Wink of Stella Gold to give the flames a little more flair, and I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter over the words with the retired 2-Way Glue Pen. A few Rhinestone Jewels are the icing on the cake! The cake embellishment is adhered to the card front with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Party with Cake greeting in Memento Black Ink onto a 3-1/2" x 1/2" strip of Whisper White and fishtailed the ends with Paper Snips before popping it up with Dimensionals.
Two Cool—I made the second card with some different Party Wishes paper and left all of the sparklies off for a simpler look.
Inside Pop-Up—I decorated the inside of the card with the other die from the Party Pop Up Thinlits! I cut the inside piece a little shorter than I would have liked at 7-3/4" x 5-1/4". I lined the edges with retired It's My Party Washi Tape.
Die-Cutting Alignment—To use this pop-up die, you'll want to score down the center of the inside piece, crease it well with a Bone Folder, then line up the top & bottom center arrows on the die with the center score line. Run it through the Big Shot with the Precision Base Plate and carefully remove it with the Die Brush.
TIP: It's important to crease the fold nicely before die-cutting, because once it is cut, the openings are so close to the fold that it is nearly impossible to crease it afterward.
Inside Décor—I colored the small balloon from the Confetti Celebration set with coordinating markers to stamp on the inside: Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron & Basic Black. The inside phrase is from the same set.
Edge Option—On the inside of the first card, I used the full-size inside, 8-1/4" x 5-1/4", scored at 4-1/8". The edges are lined with a 1/2" x 5-1/4" strip of Party Wishes DSP.

I'm a BIG FAN of Paper Pumpkin! And, I was reminded again why I love it so much!
Last night, I finally had the chance to put together my March Paper Pumpkin projects and it reaffirmed how much I love these all-inclusive, monthly craft kits! As you know, I haven't stamped much over the past two months, so Paper Pumpkin was the perfect way for me to ease back into my creativity. Everything is pre-designed and all the supplies, including the stamp set and ink, are included, so I didn't need to "think" about this project at all—I simply ENJOYED it! Best of all, the projects were super-cute and I completed them in about an hour and a half, which fits right into my busy schedule!
Hurry! Two More Reasons To Love Paper Pumpkin!

I absolutely adore the projects in this month's Pocketful of Cheer kit—awesome colors, pretty floral patterns and fun gift card holders that are certain to come for upcoming spring events!
Here are the projects that I created with this kit in about 1-1/2 hours! I followed the basic instructions, but changed up the designs on the larger cards just a bit.
The kit came with a Bermuda Bay ink spot and this cute & timely sentiment stamp set, Pocketful of Cheer!
I created the first card and envelope according to the directions. The card fits inside the center of the envelope sheet and the flaps fold in and are secured with the banner sticker.
All of the elements are pre-cut and pre-printed...I simply stamped the sentiment and flowers, then assembled. Along with the exclusive stamp set, Paper Pumpkin kits often have other exclusive products like the Cucumber Crush Baker's Twine and Cucumber Crush Pearls in this kit. Fun!
These cards were designed for giving gift cards—for birthdays, showers, weddings, graduations, etc. I added the gift card pocket to the inside of my card.
I'll be using this graduation version for my niece in just a few months! Perfect!
I changed up the elements a bit for this one, including cutting the square floral layer in half and adhering it end-to-end for a background strip across the card. I also flipped the envelope paper inside out, so the beautiful pattern was on the outside.
I added the gift card pocket to the inside of the envelope this time.
I changed up the final card to make it a horizontal. So sweet!
I created a more traditional envelope to go with this horizontal card.
The kit also included 4 pocket gift card holders with coordinating mini cards to go inside.
When you take the belly band off and open up the pocket, this is the inside.
You could use the cards with the gift card holder, or separately as a little gift tag.

Project #2—The second set of cards were 3x3" note cards with Crumb Cake envelopes.
Project #3—The third set was my favorite! I love those tiny blossoms and Crushed Curry envelopes! Each of the cards was tied with Very Vanilla Baker's Twine and I have plenty left over for more projects!
