Amazing Phrasing You Are Amazing Card

If you are in need of some cool sentiments, the Amazing Phrasing stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration Flyer is a fun & trendy choice! With 17 mix & match phrases, you're sure to find just the right sentiment for any occasion! Natalie Travis sent me this fun swap card featuring Amazing Phrasing and the Silver & Gold 6"x6" Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-Bration Flyer.

 

Background Basics—Natalie's card begins with a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" quarter sheet of Bermuda Bay as the card foundation. The card is a 5-1/4" x 8" piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at the 4" mark. It's folded and adhered to the front of the Bermuda Bay base for a non-traditional card fold.

 

Blended Resist—Natalie created a colorful background element by adding color to a 3" x 4" piece of Silver & Gold DSP. This Sale-a-Bration selection can be selected for FREE with a $50 order! All of the papers in the pack are white with either silver or gold accents in either stripes or dots. (You'll get a sample of this in the Paper Share!) She used Blending Brushes to add Coastal Cabana ink diagonally across the DSP and add Granny Apple Green ink on the top left and bottom right corners. I love how the gold dots resist the color and shine through! She adhered that onto a 3-1/4" x 4" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and mounted it onto the card front.

 

Sweet Sentiment—Natalie stamped the Amazing Phrasing onto a Basic White Tailor Made Tags die-cut. The larger phrase is stamped in Granny Apple Green; the smaller in Coastal Cabana. She threaded some Gold Shimmer Ribbon through the tag hole and tied it with some white twine from the Essentials Baker's Twine Pack. It's popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals.

 

Amazing Phrasing Stamp Set—Check out all of the cool phrases you can mix & match! I especially like "Woohoo, I miss you" and "Oops! I'm the worst" and "Hey you've got this" and "You are Amazing!" How many more combinations can you find?

 

Amazing Phrasing Hey Good Lookin' Card

My friend Sandy Carlson sent me this cool card that's perfect for your special man! I love the neutral color combo!

 

Background Basics—Sandy's card begins with a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Layering Designs Vellum attached to a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black and mounted onto a Thick Basic White card base.  She also added a 3" x 4" piece of the New Black & White Designs Designer Series Paper. (You'll get a sample of this in the Paper Share.) She adhered that onto a 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Basic Black and mounted that onto the card front. 

 

Sweet Sentiment—Sandy created a foundation for her sentiment focal point by die-cutting a Basic Black circle and Basic Gray scallop circle with the Layering Circles Dies. They are adhered together and popped up with Dimensionals. Then she stamped the Amazing Phrasing in Basic Gray onto a Basic White Seasonal Labels die-cut, adhering that over the circles. She finished by adding a few black Classic Matte Dots. Love it!

He's The Man Argyle Cards

I love all of the cool argyle elements from the He's The Man collection, so I created a couple of cards that spotlighted them. Again, one with stamping and one with no stamping...two cool! 

 

Background Basics—The first card started by embossing a 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock with the Gingham Embossing Folder, which has a diamond-shaped pattern that coordinates well with argyles. I adhered it to a Soft Succulent card base.

 

 

Focal Point Foundation—I layered a 3-1/2" x 3" piece of He's The Man Designer Series paper onto a 3-3/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic Black cardstock. I wrapped some Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer Ribbon around the layers, securing the ends on the back, and mounted the whole thing onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive. I added a couple of Matte Black Dots next to the layers.

 

Sensational Sentiment—I die-cut two Basic Black argyle shapes using the All That Dies and adhered them with Liquid Multipurpose Glue. I finished by stamping the He's All That sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Basic White All That oval die-cut and popping it up with Dimensionals.

 

 

 

Two Cool—This second card started with a Mint Macaron card base and a panel of argyle-patterned He's The Man DSP across the bottom. 

 

 

Focal Point Foundation—This time, I embossed a 4" x 3" piece of Sahara Sand cardstock and layered it onto a 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Evening Evergreen. It's tied with some white baker's twine from the Essentials Baker's Twine Pack before mounting in onto the card front.

 

Sensational Sentiment—I die cut the argyles from Early Espresso cardstock this time and popped up a cool diamond-shaped die-cut from the He's The Man DSP pack. I finished it with some Basic White Classic Matte Dots. Super cute!

He's All That Neutral Layers Cards

I love the look of grays and tans together and thought it would be fun to try on a masculine card. Here's one with stamping and one with die-cuts and pops of color. 

 

Background Basics—I started by adding a 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of He's The Man Designer Series Paper onto a Crumb Cake card base. Next, I die-cut a Stitched Rectangle shape from Crumb Cake and adhered it to a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Smoky Slate that was embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder. I added a strip of the Natural Finish Ribbon across the layers, securing the ends on the back, then mounted all layers onto the card front.

 

 

Sensational Sentiment—I stamped the He's All That sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto Basic White cardstock and die-cut it with the All That Dies. It's adhered to a 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Basic Gray and popped up onto the card front. I finished with a few black Classic Matte Dots. Loving those layers!

 

 

Two Cool—For the second card, I started with a Sahara Sand card base. I tied some ribbon from the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon Combo Pack around a Gray Granite Gingham embossed layer and mounted that onto the card front. This time, I tried a Cajun Craze pattern of DSP over the top of the embossed layer and under the ribbon. 

 

 

Sensational Sentiment Layers—I die-cut a Basic Gray label with the Stitched Rectangles and tucked that under the ribbon, too. Then I die-cut an All That banner in Crushed Curry cardstock and popped that up with Dimensionals over the ribbon. I finished by adding a circle die-cut from the He's The Man DSP over the top and a few Classic Matte Dots below. So quick and easy!

He's The Man "Classic" Gift Card Holders

When you're not sure what to buy the man in your life, sometimes a gift card is just what is needed. Here's a fun card design that is perfect for gift card giving! I love how it turned out with the He's The Man elements and it would be just as fun with other stamps and papers.

 

Background Basics—The gift card holder base is two parts: one Early Espresso 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece, and one Early Espresso measuring 8-1/2" x 2-1/4" and scored at the 4-1/4" mark. I adhered a 4" x 3" piece of the classic car pattern from the He's The Man Designer Series paper to the top of the quarter-sheet piece. Next, I adhered the folded piece onto the bottom of the quarter sheet. The inside part of the folded piece becomes the gift card pocket, so it's only adhered around the sides and bottom with Tear & Tape, leaving plenty of room for a card. You can see a better photo of what I mean below. I added a 4" x 2" piece of He's The Man DSP to the front of that panel to finish the card front decoration.

 

 

Focal Point Foundation—I started by die-cutting a Basic White Stitched Rectangle and layering it onto a 2-1/2" x 3-7/8" piece of Early Espresso. I mounted that onto a 2-5/8" x 4" piece of Cajun Craze, then tied some Linen Thread around it twice, tying it into a double knot. I used more Tear & Tape to secure the foundation onto the front panel of the card...careful to only put that adhesive on the bottom. This front panel will hide the gift card!

 

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the He's All That sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto a Sahara Sand All That die-cut. It's popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals. Next, I stamped the circle element in Cajun Craze onto Basic White, hand-cut it out and popped it up, as well. It's finished with a few Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.

 

 

Inside The Card—I stamped a few button images in Cajun Craze along the bottom of a 4" x 2" piece of Basic White and adhered it to the inside for a writing space. You can see how the gift card tucks into the pocket and the card front becomes a peek-a-boo style panel. Too Cool!

 

 

Two Cool—I created a second "no stamping" card that utilizes the die-cuts from the He's The Man DSP pack. The card base is the same, I simply flipped the DSP to the back sides for a little different look.

 

 

Sensational Sentiment—The focal point foundation has the same measurements, I just flip-flopped the colors. I added the card and "classic" die-cuts with Dimensionals and tied the Line Thread between them. I also added a couple of small die-cut stars from the sheet and a couple of Rustic Metallic Dots. So quick & easy!

 

 

On The Inside—I used a small die-cut banner to decorate the inside, too.

He's The Man Camping-Themed Cards

If your man loves the outdoors, these fun camping-themed He's The Man cards are a winner! One can be used for an anniversary card and one is great for a birthday or Father's Day card. Like all of the "two cool" cards from my LIVE Class, one features the He's All That stamp set and one has a similar design spotlighting some of the die-cuts from the He's The Man DSP.

 

 

Background Basics—I started by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Sahara Sand cardstock with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I cut a 4" x 4" piece of the He's The Man DSP, cut it diagonally from the top right corner to the bottom left corner and adhered them to the corners of the embossed layer. The layers are mounted onto an Early Espresso card base.

 

 

Sentiment Foundation—I die cut two little Early Espresso banner with the All That Dies and adhered them in the embossed area of the card about 1/2" inch apart. Next, I die cut a Cajun Craze Stylish Shapes circle and adhered that centered over the banners.

 

 

Sensational Sentiment—I stamped the He's All That sentiment in Early Espresso onto a Basic White All That Dies circle die-cut. I used the Soft Succulent and Gray Granite Stampin' Blends Markers to color in the bus, windows and tires. It's popped up onto the Cajun Craze circle with Dimensionals. I finished with a couple of Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots. Love how this turned out!

 

Inside The Card—I decorated the inside with another He's All That sentiment stamped in Early Espresso and colored with Soft Succulent Blends Markers.

 

 

Two Cool—This card begins the same with the Sahara Sand embossed and DSP in the corners. The other pattern of DSP was on the flip-side of the camping pattern, so it's still using the same piece. This time, I mounted it onto a Sahara Sand card base.

 

 

Sensational Sentiment—Instead of stamping, I used the full-color van and sentiment die-cuts from the He's The Man DSP. I popped them up onto a larger Cajun Craze Stylish Shapes circle. I finished with a couple of the Rustic Metallic Dots. So awesome!

 

 

On The Inside—I used two die-cuts to decorate the inside, too.

Hi Stamping Friends!

 

It was so fun creating two cool versions of my He's The Man LIVE Class cards this week! Each pair included one version with a stamped sentiment and another version using die-cut elements that are included in the paper pack. He's The Man DSP Panel Background Cards

I love this design, inspired by a He's The Man swap card I received from Mary Anne Grimmer. The background layout is fabulous to duplicate when you have lots of coordinating Designer Series Paper scraps. I dressed up these cards with images from He's All That stamp set and from the cool die-cut elements included in the He's The Man DSP.

 

 

Background Basics—For the panel background, I cut five 3-3/4" x 1" strips of He's The Man DSP and adhered them onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Cajun Craze cardstock. I tied some Early Expresso Faux Suede Ribbon around the layers, then mounted it onto a Soft Succulent card base.

 

 

Sensational Sentiment—I stamped the He's All That sentiment in Cajun Craze ink onto Crushed Curry cardstock and die cut it with the All That Dies. The label is popped up with Dimensionals. I stamped the arrow sentiment in Early Espresso onto Sahara Sand cardstock and die cut that, as well. It's added with some Mini Dimensionals. I finished up with a couple of Rustic Metallic Dots.

 

Inside The Card—I decorated the inside with another He's All That sentiment stamped in Early Espresso. I stamped the photo corner image in Cajun Craze for a finished look.

 

 

Two Cool—I selected a few different patterns of the DSP for this card, also mounted onto Cajun Craze. This time I tied it with the Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon from the Old Olive/Sahara Sand combo pack. The layers are mounted onto a Sahara Sand card base.

 

 

Sensational Sentiment—This time, instead of stamping, I selected one of the full-color die-cuts from the two sheets of die-cuts in the He's The Man DSP. I die-cut a Crushed Curry label with the All That Dies, cut it in half and positioned it on the top and bottom of the sentiment, then popped it up with Dimensionals. I finished with a couple of the Rustic Metallic Dots.

 

 

On The Inside—I stamped a Father's Day sentiment from He's All That, then added a grill die-cut to the bottom. So cute!

He's All That Birthday Classic Card #1

Lynn Feldkamp created this simple, classic masculine card. The He's All That Designer Series Paper makes it so easy to make!

 

Background Basics—Lynn started by adhering two 3-3/4" x 2-1/2" pieces of He's The Man Designer Series Paper in two different patterns onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Sahara Sand. She tied some Early Espresso Faux Suede Ribbon around the layers, then mounted them onto an Early Espresso card base.

 

 

Sensational Sentiment—Lynn die cut a Sahara Sand label using the All That Dies. She stamped a He's All That sentiment onto it with Early Espresso ink, then popped it up with Dimensionals. She finished with a few cool Rustic Adhesive Backed Dots.

 

 

He's All That Birthday Class Card #2

This second example was created by Mary Ellen Stites and it's similar to the first, but she added a few more elements for a stepped up version.

 

Background Basics—Mary Ellen started by adhering a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of He's The Man DSP to a 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Early Espresso cardstock. She cut a 4" x 4" piece of He's The Man DSP in half diagonally and adhered that triangle onto the bottom of the layer, then mounted it all onto a Cajun Craze card base.

 

 

Sensational Sentiment—She die cut a Sahara Sand circle with the All That Dies, then stamped a He's All That sentiment onto it with Cajun Craze ink. She also die cut an Early Espresso All That label, cut it in half and positioned the halves onto the card base, adhering with SEAL Adhesive. Mary Ellen adhered some loops of Linen Thread under the circle die-cut, then popped it up with Dimensionals onto the card front. 

 

Finishing Touches—She also stamped a "No. 1" image in Early Espresso onto Basic White, cut it out by hand, and popped it up, too. She finished by adding a few Rustic Dots.

He's All That Anniversary Cards

Hi Stamping Friends!

 

Well, I wasn't aware that I would be taking an unexpected hiatus from stamping over the past week, but here we are. I had been burning the proverbial candle at both ends for way too long and I knew I couldn't sustain that level of activity. I had been sputtering out for about a month and completely crashed last week. The most important thing that I learned is that consistent sleep deprivation has severe consequences on your physical and mental abilities! I had to take an immediate step back, reset and focus on what was most important: my family and my health. I have to tell you that is not easy for me to put stamping aside. I hate not being creatively consistent, not fulfilling my commitments and not living up to your expectations. It's so hard for me to admit that I can't do it all and I have a difficult time asking for help. Sometimes, however, it becomes necessary. I'm sure that many of you can relate.

 

After slowing it down and getting some extra rest, I am feeling much better than last week. I think it's going to take a little while for me to get to a better balance, but my goal is to just do the best I can do every day, at whatever level that may be. I appreciate your patience and understanding.

He's All That For The Long Haul Card

The He's All That Bundle has the perfect elements for creating an adventure-themed masculine anniversary card. 

 

Background Basics—Adhere a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of He's The Man Designer Series Paper to the front of a Night of Navy card base. Add a 4" x 1-1/2" piece of DSP across the bottom part of the card, too.

 

The He's The Man DSP pack includes two sheets of cool, full-color die-cuts that you can use as elements on your projects. This card uses a notebook page die-cut as a foundation for the focal point. 

 

Layered Elements—Die cut three argyle elements from another solid pattern of the DSP using the All That Dies. Adhere them onto the notebook piece. Use the Banners Pick A Punch to cut both ends of two 3-1/2" x 1/2" pieces of Soft Succulent cardstock. Emboss those pieces with the Timber Embossing Folder and adhere to the card front. 

 

Sensational Sentiment—Stamp the He's All That sentiment image onto Basic White using Memento Black ink, then die cut with the All That Dies. Color the image with Soft Succulent, Gray Granite and Starry Sky Stampin' Blends Markers and pop up with Dimensionals.

 

Finishing Touches—Adhere one of the tree die-cuts from the DSP next to the sentiment circle. Finish by adding a few of the cool new Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots around the circle.

He's The Man Hello Handsome Card

I love this cool technique that's perfect for using up leftover DSP scraps! 

 

Background Basics—Start with several 1" x 6" strips of different patterns of He's The Man DSP. Use the Paper Trimmer to cut the strips on the diagonal from the top right to the lower left corner. Adhere one of the triangles to the center of the 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White. Continue adding more strips on either side of the center triangle, leaving a small 1/16" space between the strips. Once the layer is filled, trim off the excess pieces along the edges. 

 

Sensational Sentiment—Stamp the He's All That sentiment in VersaMark ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock, sprinkle on Black embossing powder and heat set until glossy and smooth. Die cut a circle using the new Stylish Shapes Dies, position along the bottom of the card and trim off any excess to make it flush. Mount the piece onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Early Espresso cardstock, then adhere it to a Soft Succulent card base. 

 

Finishing Touches—Finish with a few Rustic Adhesive-Backed Dots floating around the card front.

New Horizons Picket Fence Cards

The little picket fence die-cuts that can be made from the Horizons Dies really add that special detail to cards. There's just something about the indication of a yard or a little path that is so charming! Add some adorable little Pebble Enamel Shapes and it's a look you don't often see on Stampin' Up! cards! Too Cool!

 

 

Background Basics—The background is quick and easy! I started with a 5-1/2" x 1" strip of New Horizons DSP adhered across the bottom of a Gray Granite card base. I tied some Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the card front and into a double-knot.

 

 

Simple Stamping—I stamped an On The Horizon sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink onto the top of a 3" x 3-1/2" piece of New Horizons DSP. I also stamped some grasses in Cinnamon Cider, then I mounted the piece onto a 3-1/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Evening Evergreen. It's popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals.

 

Finishing Touches—I die cut a Crumb Cake fence with the Horizons dies and applied it to the focal point with Liquid Multipurpose Glue. I finished up with a few ultra-cool Pebble Enamel Shapes for extra detail. The shapes come in Cinnamon Cider, light gray and dark gray, so they coordinate here beautifully.

 

Two Cool—For the second card, I started with a Smoky Slate card base and adhered a piece of silver Metallic Mesh onto the left center of it. I simply put a few strips of SEAL Adhesive down in the center of the card, under where the focal point will be positioned later.

 

Focal Point—I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto a different pattern from the New Horizons DSP. The fence is die cut in Basic Gray, too. It's layered onto Misty Moonlight and I only used the gray pebbles for accents. I think this would make a wonderful masculine birthday or sympathy card. There's lots of room for any sentiment you may need.

New Horizons Relax & Enjoy Your Day Cards

There are so many fun ways to create different detailed horizons with the New Horizons Suite! For these cards, I combined a little stamping with a little die-cutting for a cool mountain look.

 

 

Background Basics—I stamped some On The Horizon trees in Night of Navy ink along the horizon line of a 5-1/2" x 3" piece of New Horizons Designer Series Paper. I also stamped some grass and a sentiment at the bottom of the piece with Night of Navy ink. It's layered onto a 5-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Soft Succulent and mounted onto a Night of Navy card base.

 

 

Majestic Mountains—I die cut the solid mountains with the Horizons Dies in Night of Navy cardstock and the layered mountains in Misty Moonlight cardstock. The die-cuts were adhered together and then along the horizon line with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

 

Finishing Touches—I tied some Petal Pink Cotton Ribbon around the top of the card front and tied it into a double-knot. The card is finished with a few Champagne Rhinestones floating around the sentiment.

 

Two Cool—I started with another horizon pattern from the New Horizons DSP on this second card. No trees this time, but I added some birds. It's layered onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock..

 

 

Mountains—I layered the detailed Rich Razzleberry die-cut over the solid Blackberry Bliss for this mountain range.

 

Finishing Touches—I tried the Misty Moonlight Cotton Ribbon on this card and the Champagne Rhinestones again around the sentiment.
