Merriest Moments Embossed Background Cards
This set of four cards for my Countdown To Christmas Class spotlights the gorgeous Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. I love the beautiful textured border it creates with a lovely frame focal point. It makes creating a card with the Merriest Moments stamp set so quick and easy!
Background Basics—I started by embossing a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Soft Succulent cardstock with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Folder. It's adhered to an Evening Evergreen card base.
Sweet Sentiment Layer—I stamped the Merriest Moments sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink onto a 2-3/4" x 2" piece of Basic White, then attached it to the embossed frame area.
Pretty Poinsettias—I stamped the Merriest Moments large and small poinsettia flowers in Real Red ink onto a scrap of Basic White. I also stamped various greenery from the set in Evening Evergreen ink and the dotted flower center in Bumblebee ink onto white scrap. They are all die-cut using the Merriest Frames Dies that come with the Bundle.
Optional: I brushed some Wink of Stella onto the embossed leaves for a little extra sparkle.
This card will also be part of the 5-Card LIVE Class Kit.
Two Cool—The second card is the same, I just changed the direction, the sentiment and some of the foliage.
Three Cool—For the third card, I embossed a Basic White background, giving it a beautiful wintery white feel! It's layered onto a Real Red card base. I stamped the Evening Evergreen sentiment directly onto the background.
This white card will also be part of the 5-Card LIVE Class Kit.
Pretty Poinsettias—I stamped the flowers in Real Red, the flower centers in Bumblebee and the greenery in Soft Succulent.
Four Cool—The final card was stepped up to include a little more greenery around the flowers. Feel free to experiment with the accents and layering. Try some layered blooms, or multiple flowers, or any combination of holly leaves and branches. It doesn't NEED all of the layers, but you certainly have the option to really add to it to make it something special!
