These cards may look familiar. I already blogged about the "two cool" Pale Papaya version, created by Gwen Duckworth, a few weeks ago as a peek at the new Annual Catalog. I loved this swap card so much that I CASEd a Highland Heather version for this class! You can make both with my 10-Card Class!
Background Basics—I began with a 5-1/2" x 7-1/2" piece of Basic White Thick cardstock. I added a 1" x 5-1/4" piece of Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper along the inside edge, and added a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of Highland Heather, embossed with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder, onto the card front. Wow...isn't that embossed texture a stunner?! It's my brand new favorite folder!
Floral Focal Point—I stamped the Hand-Penned Petals floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock, then colored it in with Stampin' Blends Markers. I colored the blooms with Fresh Freesia, the leaves with Soft Succulent and the flower center with Pale Papaya. I die-cut it with the Penned Petals Dies.
Sentiment Circle—I die-cut the Basic White circle with the Layering Circles Dies, then stamped a Hand-Penned Petals sentiment with Memento Black. I popped up the floral die-cut on top, then added a few Champagne Rhinestones. Before mounting onto the card front, I adhered some Highland Heather Grosgrain Ribbon, with it's pretty shimmery look, under the circle, then popped that up, too!
Two Cool—Gwen Duckworth's card is decorated with a Pale Papaya pattern from the Hand-Penned DSP and a Pale Papaya layer embossed with the Meadow Moments Folder. Her focal point is colored with Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent Blends and topped with a Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon bow. Lovely!
