Sweet Ice Cream Popsicle Trio Cards
Ice cream isn't the only sweet treat you can create with the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set! You can create refreshing two-step popsicle images and these cards really showcase the different looks you can achieve with them!
Background Basics—I began by embossing a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Pool Party cardstock with the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I added a 5-1/4" x 1" strip of Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper and wrapped some Ornate Garden Calypso Coral Ribbon around the layers, too. They are mounted onto a Pool Party card base.
Pretty Popsicles—The two-step popsicle image are designed to overlap the colors to create some cool combinations that match the popsicles in the Ice Cream Corner DSP. I stamped the bottom image first, then added the rounded top in these pairs of colors: Coastal Cabana & Pear Pizzazz, Blackberry Bliss & Calypso Coral and Calypso Coral and Mango Melody. I hand-cut the popsicles then positioned them over a 4" x 3" piece of Basic White, so that I could stamp the popsicle sticks in Crumb Cake ink where they needed to go. I also added a couple of drips in Coastal Cabana ink. I matted the layer onto a 4-1/8" x 3-1/8" piece of Bermuda Bay, mounted it onto the card front and popped up those popsicles with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Sweet Ice Cream sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink onto a Pool Party Stitched Shapes oval die-cut. It's also popped up with Dimensionals. I think a little Wink of Stella glimmer would look amazing on these sweet treats...I'll be adding that!
Two Cool—For the second version, I began with a Purple Posy textured background on a Purple Posy card base. I selected a different pattern from the Ice Cream Corner DSP and wrapped the layers with the White Linen ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.
Cool Popsicles—This time I stamped the popsicles in a mono-chromatic color scheme for a totally different and cleaner look. I used three colors for the bottoms and their matching stamped-off color for the tops: Highland Heather, Coastal Cabana & Mango Melody. The drips are Highland Heather and stamped-off Highland Heather.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink onto Purple Posy cardstock.
