Sending Happy Thoughts Your Way Cards

Nothing makes creating cards easier than a versatile sentiment stamp set paired with one of the beautiful papers from Stampin' Up!  In this case, I used the Happy Thoughts stamp set and Flower & Field DSP for my combo. I stamped a stack of these sweet and simple cards so I could send some Happy Thoughts to friends!

 

I especially love the Flower & Field DSP because of the gorgeous floral prints, unique dark backgrounds and large palette of colors for mixing & matching color combos! Oh...and the fact that you can select this pack for FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration!

 

 

Background Basics—I started with a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of Flower & Field Designer Series Paper for a pretty backdrop. At that size, you can get six cards from a sheet of 12x12" DSP!  I layered it onto a 2-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic Black and mounted it onto a Just Jade card base.   

 

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Happy Thoughts sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and die-cut it with a Hippo & Friends label shape. It's popped up with Dimensionals.

 

Finishing Touches—I love the look of the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon with this DSP!  I wrapped some around the card front and tied it into a double-knot. Then, I finished by adding a couple of the NEW Black Matte Dots. Sweeeeeet!

 

 

Two Cool—My second version begins with a Pool Party card base and another pretty pattern from the Flower & Field DSP. 

 

 

This time, I used the Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon instead of the gingham. If you earned the card kit, you'll receive the Ruched Ribbon on the Jade color card above.
