Jar of Flowers Front Flap Smile Cards
The tall & skinny bouquet image from the Jar of Flowers stamp set was perfect for the front flap card I had in mind! I paired the florals with the cool patterns from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper for a trendy and colorful look!
You can create both of these cute cards when you earn my Jar of Flowers LIVE Class Kit...offer ends today!
Background Basics—The card base is two-part: one 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" quarter sheet of Seaside Spray cardstock and a 2-3/4" x 10-1/2" piece of Seaside Spray, scored at the 5-1/4" mark. I adhered two 1" x 5-1/4" pieces of the brick patterned DSP from the In Good Taste double-pack to the quarter-sheet base. Then, I adhered the front flap in the center. Make sure you use a secure-holding adhesive, like Tear & Tape or the NEW SEAL Adhesive!
Fabulous Flowers—I stamped the jar first in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink at the bottom of a 2-1/2" x 5" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Next, I stamped the arrangement of flowers above the jar and the stems image inside the jar. Then, I colored the bouquet with Stampin' Blends Markers:
• Tulips in Light & Dark Rococo Rose
• Medium Flowers in Light & Dark Seaside Spray
• Other flowers in Light Purple Posy & Light Mango Melody
• Leaves & stems in Light Old Olive
• Jar lightly colored in Light Seaside Spray
• Leaves in Granny Apple Green
I layered the piece onto the front flap.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a sentiment from Lovely You in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, die-cut it with a cute little Ornate Frames tag and attached it with a couple of Glue Dots. I also added a small Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker's Twine bow, from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack. It's attached with a pinched Glue Dot.

Finishing Touches—I highly recommend adding some Wink of Stella Glimmer to the flowers to really make them shimmer and shine! So pretty! I also added a small Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker's Twine bow, from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack. It's attached with a pinched Glue Dot.
Inside The Card—The inside of the card looks amazing when it's stamped a colored with a portion of the same Jar of Flowers image. I colored it on the same colors as the on the card front. Then, I stamped the diagonal-lined decorative border image from the stamp set in Seaside Spray down the side. Wow...that really dresses it up!

Two Cool—My second version begins with a Basic Gray two-part card base, decorated with a dark gray tween pattern from the In Good Taste DSP.
Fabulous Flowers—This time, I tried a different color combo with Stampin' Blends Markers:
• Light & Dark Poppy Parade for the tulips
• Seaside Spray Light & Dark for medium flowers
• Other flowers in Dark Highland Heather and Light Shaded Spruce
• Leaves & Stems in Dark Old Olive
Water In The Jar—The Jar of Flowers stamp set includes three images that are reversible. That means that they are symmetrical and you can flip them over and stamp on the solid back side for a colorful coordinating background. I stamped the front of the water image in Pool Party ink to get the outline details, then I cleaned the stamp on my Simply Shammy and flipped it over on my block. I stamped the solid side again with Pool Party and stamped over the outlines to fill in the color. Too Cool!
Inside The Card—I added a little floral accent on the inside of this card in the same colors, along with a Pool Party decorative line. Love it!
