I have a quick update on the Ornate Borders dies that are currently on "non-orderable" status as we are waiting for them to come in. It looks like these cool dies are scheduled to be available sometime around May 11. I'm so glad because they are beautiful! Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards using just one of the pretty decorative borders from the Ornate Borders set.

Ornate Borders Decorative Border Cards
While we are still patiently waiting for the Ornate Borders dies to become available again, I just had to share a couple more cards featuring one of the pretty decorative borders. I received this first card as a swap card from Laura Barto. I modified it just a bit to use it for my recent Ornate Garden class, but I loved her design and elegant color combination.
Background Basics—This card begins with a Thick Whisper White card base. Then, the 4" x 5-1/4" Basic Black layer was die-cut with one of the floral border dies from the Ornate Border dies. SO PRETTY! The card has a 1" x 5-1/8" Gold Foil strip that's been texture embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. There is also a 1-1/2" x 5-1/8" strip of the white & gold Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper.
Sweet Sentiment—The Ornate Thanks sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto an Ornate Layers Whisper White die-cut and it's popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I added some Gilded Gems to the border flowers for an lovely finish to this elegant card!
Two Cool—This second Ornate Borders swap card came to me from LeeAnn Greff! Her card also begins with a Thick Whisper White card base with a 3" x 5-1/2" panel of Terracotta Tile cardstock that's been die-cut with the same floral border.
Daisy Duo—Before adhering the die-cut layer, LeeAnn stamped the Ornate Style daisy image a couple of times with VersaMark ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and heat-set it with the Heat Tool until glossy and smooth.
Sweet Sentiment—LeeAnn stamped the Ornate Thanks greeting in Terracotta Tile ink onto a Stitched Shapes oval die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals. She finished with a White Baker's Twine bow, attached with a Glue Dot. Absolutely lovely!
