Little Ladybug with So Very Vellum Cards
Ladybugs don't always have to be red! I love the look of these pastel ladybugs that look perfect for spring!  The Little Ladybug stamp set is an exclusive set that you can earn when you either host a party with $300 in sales or when you place your own individual order of $300 or more. It's SO adorable!  Remember that when you have a $300 order, you'll also be able to select FREE Sale-a-Bration items, like the So Very Vellum DSP, for every $50 or $100!  Wow!

Background Basics—I started with a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of the Soft Sea Foam So Very Vellum for this card for a soft, subtle background. It's adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base with a couple of strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive under the focal point, hidden so it won't show through the translucent vellum.

Next, I adhered a 4-1/4" x 1" strip of Petal Pink cardstock across the bottom to provide a base for the focal point.

Delightful Die-Cut—I die-cut a Soft Sea Foam scallop rectangle die-cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. If you haven't purchased these…get them!  They are so, SO useful and versatile!  At the same time that I die-cut the rectangle, I also added the curly-Q of dash marks, courtesy of the Ladybug Dies…all in one pass through the die-cut machine!

Lovely Ladybug—I stamped the Little Ladybug image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in with Stampin' Blends in Petal Pink for the body and face and Flirty Flamingo Light for the wings and cheeks. I finished with Wink of Stella glimmer on the wings. Did I say adorable?!  Wow! It's die-cut with the Ladybugs Dies and adhere with SNAIL to the label.  I also added a Little Ladybug sentiment with Memento ink.

Fun Flower—I stamped the Little Ladybug flower in Memento Ink onto Whisper White, then colored with Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo Blends. I only added a little Petal Pink to the petals, so there was just a hint of color. You can use the Colorless Blender to soften the strokes. I finished with a little Wink of Stella shimmer on the petals. It's mounted with SNAIL adhesive and the rectangle is popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals.  I finished with a couple of Gingham Gala Sequins.

Two Cool—My second card I tried in a horizontal orientation with a Purple Posy featured color.

Little Ladybug so very vellum - purple posy 2

Background Basics—I added a 5-1/2" x 2" Purple Posy So Very Vellum across the bottom and a strip of 1/2" x 4-1/4" Petal Pink along the right side.

Lovely Label—The label is Purple Posy, too, and the ladybug is colored in Petal Pink, Purple Posy and those Flirty Flamingo cheeks!  The sentiment was stamped onto a 1-1/5" x 7/8" piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock, banner cut and adhered with SNAIL. The flower is colored with Petal Pink with Purple Posy shading. I finished with Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Soft Sea Foam color. I added Wink of Stella to the ladybug, flower petals AND the Petal Pink background strip, too!  Cute!
