Let It Snow Cards & Last Day For Starter Kit Special!
Hi Stamping Friends!
I have another Holiday Catalog sneak peek today featuring the adorable snowman-themed suite called Let It Snow! This week, I shared a couple of cute Let It Snow cards during my Thursday LIVE Class! Catch the Replay below and get the details for one of the projects I shared.
I've been having so much fun with this flap card with an "interlocking" look lately. Have you tried it? This time I'm featuring the beautiful Let It Snow Designer Series Paper and Snowman Season stamp set from the upcoming Holiday Catalog. Customers can order beginning September 4, but you can pre-order Holiday Catalog items when you purchase a $99 Starter Kit before the end of the day, August 31, 2019. Learn More.
Background Basics—I started with a 5-1/2" x 11" piece of Pool Party cardstock, scored at the 4-1/4" mark. I cut off a 1" strip off of the front of the card and saved that; it will create the front flap arm. I adhered a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of the NEW Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper on the front.
Flap Mechanism—I scored the 1" strip that I cut off at the 4" mark. Next, I added a 1" x 5-1/4" strip of coordinating Let It Snow DSP along the right side of a 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White cardstock layer. I also stamped a Snowman Season sentiment in Memento Black ink on the layer, as well as some snowflakes in Pool Party ink. Finally, I adhered the short part of the flap arm behind the inside layer, then adhered it to the inside of the card using Tear & Tape Adhesive. Watch this assembly in action in my video.
Snowman Focal Point—I stamped a Snowman Season image in Memento Black onto a large Stitched Shapes Whisper White die-cut. I colored it in with Watercolor Pencils in Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie & Smoky Slate, then smoothed out the color with a Blender Pen.
I adhered the circle onto the flap arm by adding the Dimensionals to the arm. I fishtail cut the end of the arm then added some Red Rhinestones. I finished by adding a little Wink of Stella shimmer to the snowman. Sweet!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Snowman Season sentiment in Memento Black onto a 3-1/2" x 5/8" piece of Whisper White. I fishtail cut the ends and mounted it onto the card front so it was overhanging the open side. I love how fancy this one opens!
Two Cool—This is a card like the one I assembled on my LIVE Class Video. It starts with a Real Red card base and features a couple of different patterns of Let It Snow DSP. In the video, I also added a scallop circle layer behind the circle using the Layering Circles dies.
I added a snowman hat inside this one, colored with Watercolor Pencils and sparkled-up with Wink of Stella.
I finished with a couple of Coastal Cabana Glitter Enamel Gems on the flap arm.
