Hey Love Ape Over You Pull Treats
I created these fun pull treat Hershey's chocolate bar holder for my holiday craft fairs and they are always a big hit. I couldn't resist decorating some for Valentine's Day and the Hey Love pun-filled stamp set was the perfect choice! What a fun treat to share with your friends & co-workers! If you have kids, they'll love creating these interactive treats for their classmates or teacher!
Pull Treat Pouch Basics—I started with a 6" x 7-1/2" piece of All My Love Designer Series Paper.
- Score along the 6" side at 1-1/2" and 4" marks.
- Add Tear & Tape Adhesive along one 7-1/2" edge.
- Add Tear & Tape Adhesive along the bottom 6" edge.
- Fold and adhere together to make the pouch. Burnish the bottom with Bone Folder.
- Punch a 1/4" hole through the top of the pouch.
- Thread an 18" piece of All My Love Lovely Lipstick ribbon through the holes.
- Add the Hershey Bar into the pouch, pushing the ribbon down under the bar.
- Tie the ribbon into a double-knot.
- When you pull the ribbon, it should pull up the chocolate! Too Cool!
Awesome Ape—I stamped the Hey Love ape in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die-cut. He's colored in with Stampin' Blends Markers in Smoky Slate, Flirty Flamingo light and Lovely Lipstick light. I added some Wink of Stella glimmer onto the heart, then layered the circle onto a Silver Foil scallop circle die-cut with the Layering Circles Framelits. It's all popped up onto the pouch with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Hey Love pun in Memento Black onto a Powder Pink heart that was die-cut with the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. I added a little Wink of Stella to the word "ape" and popped up that heart, too. Next, I added a Be Mine Framelits scallop heart die-cut from the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet, which is a Sale-a-Bration item you can select FREE with a $50 order. Finally, I colored a Rhinestone Jewel with the dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends Marker and added it to the sentiment heart. I love it!
Two Cool—I created a second version for the Facebook LIVE using a different All My Love DSP pattern and a Flirty Flamingo sentiment heart. Everything else is pretty much the same. I did decide that a regular Rhinestone looked better on this version than a colored one.
Mini Hershey Bar Treat—Next, I tried a mini version of the pull treat! I started with the same All My Love DSP, this time cut to 4" x 4-1/2". I scored at the 1-1/4" and 2-3/4" marks along the 4" side, then assembled the same way as the regular pull treat. I punched an 1/8" hole at the top and used a 12" Silver Metallic Edge Satin Ribbon for the pull. It's so tiny! Adorable!
Bitty Birdie—I stamped the Hey Love birdie in Memento Black Ink onto the smallest Stitched Shapes circle die. He's colored with Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers. I layered the circle onto a Silver Foil scallop circle from the Layering Circles Framelits.
Sentiment—I stamped the Itty Bitty Greetings sentiment in Memento Black onto a 1" x 3/8" strip of Whisper White, fishtailing the ends and popping up with Dimensionals.
Easter Treats—The little birdie from the Hey Love stamp set is perfect for Easter, too! I paired him up with some of the colors from the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper for super-cute spring treats!
They are colored in markers to match their DSP: Daffodil Delight & Highland Heather Stampin' Blends and Grapefruit Grove Stampin' Write Marker. The beak is in Pumpkin Pie or Daffodil Delight and the heart is in Lovely Lipstick. Don't forget to add some Wink of Stella on the heart! I need to try these in Balmy Blue and Lemon Lime Twist, the other colors in the Gingham Gala DSP pack! So fun & easy & the perfect size for a whole class!
