- With the paper flush to the top right, position the stamp upside-down on the top left side of the paper. Please note, the paper I show in the photo is a little larger than the layer I used in this project. For this card, you'll need to position the image about 1/8" from the top edge of the paper and about 1/16" from the side...it's a tight fit. Be sure to add a magnet to keep the layer from shifting.
- Ink the stamp and close the plate to stamp it onto the cardstock.
- Lift the plate so it's perpendicular to the base, remove it, then move it to the next hinge down. Stamp again without re-inking.
- Repeat this process all the way down.
- For the second line of hearts, re-position your cardstock so that the right edge of the paper lines up with the 1" mark. Hold in place with the magnet.
- Ink the stamp again and stamp. Move the plate down the hinges to stamp each heart without re-inking.
- Continue moving the cardstock over in 1" increments across and hinging all the way down until the background is covered.
Two Cool—I couldn't wait to try this fun technique with a non-traditional Valentine's Day color like Bermuda Bay!
Happy Hearts—This time I layered the hearts onto Champagne Foil, then mounted it onto a Bermuda Bay card base. I die-cut the heart from the center of my Champagne Foil layer. The sentiment is in Bermuda Bay and the Rhinestones are colored with a Bermuda Bay Dark Stampin' Blends Marker before applying.
