Today, I'm sharing a quick & easy sympathy card that we created at the event. Unfortunately, I've had to make too many sympathy cards already in January.

Lasting Lily Sympathy Cards
It's always good to have a few sympathy cards on hand, because when you need it, you need it now! Background Basics—I started by adding a 4" x 2-1/4" piece of Old Olive striped Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper onto a Gorgeous Grape card base. Next, I embossed a 4" x 3/4" strip of Highland Heather cardstock with the Subtle Texture Impressions folder and adhering it across the top of the DSP.
Lovely Lily—I stamped the beautiful Lasting Lily flower image in Highland Heather ink onto a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White. This is one of those DisINKtive style stamps, so if you are not getting a clear image, push some of the ink on the ink pad to the sides of the pad with a plastic spoon or old dedicated bone folder (it will stain). A little ink goes a long way and too much ink will make your image look like a blob.
I added the Lasting Lily stem in Mossy Meadow ink.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Lasting Lily sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and popped up the layer with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Finishing Touches—I attach a Old Olive Linen Thread bow with a "pinched" Glue Dot, then sprinkled a few Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins around the flower. So pretty!

Two Cool—I created a second version with a Bermuda Bay card base and the same DSP.
Details—This time, I replaced the textured strip underneath the stamped layer with a piece of the retired Galvanized Metallic Paper (oh, how I wish that had carried over!). I love how the metallic looks with the Silver Metallic Pearls! It's stamped in Bermuda Bay and Mossy Meadow.
