Bonnie's Dashing Deer Joyous Noel Card

Have you noticed all of the amazing red & green color combinations for Christmas this year?!  Bonnie O'Neill's swap card features Merry Merlot along with the pretty Tranquil Tide colors.  I'm especially loving this combination this year!

Background Basics—Bonnie began with a vertically-folded Tranquil Tide card base.  The 4" x 5-1/4" Merry Merlot layer is embossed on the right side with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Texture Impressions Folder.  She added a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper to the left side.  After wrapping some of the Ruffled Tranquil Tide Ribbon down the seam and securing the ends to the back, the layer was mounted onto the card front.

Dashing Deer—The Dashing Deer filigree deer image was stamped in Gray Granite ink onto Whisper White, then die-cut with the Detailed Deer Thinlits.  It's popped up with Dimensionals onto an Stitched Shapes oval in Tranquil Tide, then mounted onto a scallop oval die-cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits. The whole focal point is popped up again with Dimensionals.

Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the Dashing Deer stamp set and Detailed Deer Thinlits together in a bundle to save 10%!

Sweet Sentiment—Bonnie stamped the Dashing Deer greeting in Tranquil Tide onto Gray Granite, then die-cut it with the cute label shape from the Detailed Deer Thinlits.  It's popped up with Dimensionals, too.  So pretty!

Rhonda's Dashing Deer Festive Farmhouse Card

Rhonda Bassler's swap card features the pairing of Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow along with the pretty plaid paper from Festive Farmhouse DSP.

Card Base Basics—Rhonda's card features a fun barn door card front.  She started with a 8-1/2" x 2-3/4" short Mossy Meadow card base, scored at the 4-1/4" mark.  Then she adhered a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Mossy Meadow to the inside of the card.  She adhered a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Cherry Cobbler that has been embossed with the Swirls & Curls folder to the inside panel.  TIP: I like to use Tear & Tape Adhesive with my embossed layers for a secure hold.

Background Basics—On the card front, Rhonda added a 3-3/4" x 2-1/4" piece of Festive Farmhouse plaid to a 4" x 2-1/2" piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  Both pieces are adhere with SNAIL.

Dashing Deer—She stamped the Dashing Deer filigree image in Crumb Cake ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, then die-cut it with the Detailed Deer Thinlits.  The deer is mounted onto a 2-1/2" tall Cherry Cobbler oval, die-cut from Layering Ovals Framelits.  It's adhered to a large Stitched Shapes oval and popped up with more Dimensionals  Remember when adding this focal point, you only want to have Dimensionals on the lower half, since the upper half hangs above the barn door cover.

Finishing Touches—Rhonda stamped the Dashing Deer sentiment onto Very Vanilla, then die-cut with the Banner Punch. It's popped up, too. Lastly, she die-cut a small Cherry Cobbler flower and attached it to the deer's neck with a Glue Dot, topping it with a gold Metallic Pearl.  Very nice!
