Rooted In Nature Falling Leaves Card

The simplicity of this card is what makes it so stunning! There's just something about all that white that gives it a lovely elegance!

Step-By-Step Instructions

Emboss the 4” x 1-1/4” Very Vanilla strip with the Subtle embossing folder. Mat onto a 4” x 1-3/8” piece of Early Espresso card stock.
Stamp the Itty Bitty Greetings sentiment on the scrap of Very Vanilla and die-cut with the smallest Stitched Shapes Framelits oval using the Big Shot.
In the upper right portion of the 4” x 5 ¼” Very Vanilla piece, stamp the trio of leaves stamp in Soft Suede ink and then stamp it a second time with out re-inking. Repeat these same steps in the lower left portion.
Ink up the stamp with many leaves in Cajun Craze. Stamp next to the trio of leaves in full ink, then stamp a second time without re-inking.
Stamp the smaller single leaf in Crumb Cake ink next to the Cajun leaves in both areas.
Mount the stamped piece on the Very Vanilla card base.
Layer the embossed piece in the center over the leaves.
Layer the 4” x ¼” Nature’s Poem DSP strip on the embossed piece.
Mount the greeting on a Dimensional and attach to the center of the card.

Delightfully Detailed Copper Leaves Card

Wow! Talk about elegant! Copper Foil will dress up any card, but combine it with the awesome laser-cut Delightfully Detailed Designer Series Paper and it is a true stunner!

Step-By-Step Instructions

Cut out a 3-1/2” x 5” laser-cut rectangle from the Delightfully Detailed Specialty Designer Series Paper, lay it on a Silicone Craft Mat and sponge on Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the back.
Adhere the DSP onto a 3-1/2” x 5” piece of Copper Foil. Mount onto a Cajun Craze card base.
Rub your embossing buddy over the 4-1/4” x 1-1/8” Whisper White Thick cardstock. Stamp Beautiful Day greeting in VersaMark ink, then heat emboss with the Copper embossing powder. Pop up with Dimensionals onto card front.
Cut the Copper Foil leaves with the Nature’s Roots Framelits leaf outline, then run it back through the Big Shot with the coordination embossing die to add detail to the leaves. Attach with Glue Dots.

Country Home Tin Tile Thankful Card #1

I love keeping a stack of thank you cards on hand and this project is perfect for that! It uses the handy Very Vanilla Note Cards & Envelopes. Best of all, because there is not a lot of stamping and no coloring, the card assembles in just a few minutes! The card features most of the products from the Country Home suite, giving it all kinds of amazing layers and textures! So pretty!

Step-By-Step Instructions

Use the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with the Big Shot to emboss the 4-3/4” x 3-1/4” Smoky Slate cardstock.
Attach to the Very Vanilla note card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use SNAIL Adhesive to attach the 3” x 2” Green pattern of the Country Lane DSP to the center.
Punch a 2-1/4” circle from the Crushed Curry Country Lane DSP, pop up with Dimensionals.
Stamp the Country Home floral image in Crushed Curry onto a 4” x 1-1/2” piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Stamp the “Simply Thankful” greeting over this with Early Espresso ink.
Fold the Braided Linen Trim in half and create a slip knot.
Slip the Galvanized Clip onto the left edge of the Very Vanilla stamped panel.
Use a Glue Dot to attach the slip knot to the galvanized clip.
Attach the stamped image to the card front with Dimensionals.

Here is another example of how you can layer the lovely textures from the Country Home suite to create a cute traditional-size thank you card. When everything coordinates, it all comes together so effortlessly!

Step-By-Step Instructions

Score Whisper White cardstock at 4-1/4” then fold to form card base.
Adhere 5-1/4” x 4” Crushed Curry CS to card front.
Adhere 5” x 3-3/4” Blackberry Bliss CS to card front.
Run 3” x 3” Galvanized Metallic paper through Big Shot using Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF.
Sponge the tile texture with both Blackberry Bliss and Early Espresso Ink Pads using Stamping Sponge to create antique look.
Adhere 3” x 3” Country Lane DSP square to card front; Adhere embossed Galvanzied Metallic Paper to card front.
Stamp Country Home sentiment to 3-1/4” x 1-3/4” Whisper White card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink.
Stamp ‘cotton’ Country Home image using Mint Macaron ink over top sentiment two times.
Add Braided Linen Trim looped behind stamped piece.
Add stamped layer to card front using Dimensionals.

Country Home Tin Tile Silver Baker's Box

One of my favorite pieces from the Country Home suite is the Tin Tile Embossing Folder! It looks amazing on any of our metallic papers, so it's no surprise that it takes the Silver Mini Baker's Box to the next level! It's a WOW for sure!

Box Basics—Place the flat baker's box in the Tin Tile Texture Impressions Folder and run in through the Big Shot, then fold on the score lines and assemble. Talk about easy!

Hello Focal Point—Die-cut a Stitched Shapes oval from Shimmery White Cardstock. Stamp the Country Home milk jug and bouquet image onto the side of the oval with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Use Stampin' Blends Markers to color in the image: Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight and Ivory. Stamp the greeting next to it in Memento Ink.

Terrific Tag—Cut a 2" x 5-1/4" piece from Country Lane Designer Series Paper, then punch one end with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and the other end with the Banner Triple Punch. Easy peasy! Punch out a couple Old Olive leaves with the Spring Punch and adhere them to the back of the oval, then pop up the oval onto the tag with Dimensionals. Tie the tag onto the box with some Braided Linen Trim.

Wouldn't this be an amazing little treat box to set at your Thanksgiving place settings or to give as a little thank you to someone special. You could create it to match one of the cards from my Country Home Class-To-Go kit for a matching gift set! So many possibilities!

Janet's Wishing You Well Autumn Wreath Cards

Hi Stamping Friends!

I wasn't sure I was going to get the Wishing You Well stamp set, but it's one of those that I eventually had to have because of all the cute cards I'm seeing out there. So I ordered it last week! I even selected a cute Wishing You Well swap card I had received to make as one of my "Last Thursdays" cards.

Unfortunately, when I ordered I forgot to click the 2nd Day Air option as I had intended, so now the set will not be here in time for my event. So, I'll be doing that card at next month's "Last Thursdays" class and we'll do a different card, maybe this one, at tomorrow's class. Will you be joining us? Today is the last day to RSVP!

Janet's Wishing You Well Just A Note Card

Because I'm looking so forward to getting the Wishing You Well stamp set, I thought I'd share a couple of pretty cards that Janet Shinn created with the set.

Background Basics—Janet's card begins with a Tranquil Tide card base. She layered a 2-3/4" x 5" piece of Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper onto a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White.

Focal Point—She stamped the Wishing You Well wreath in Soft Suede ink onto a 3" x 3" piece of Whisper White, then stamped a Wishing You Well bow over the top of it in Tranquil Tide ink. It's layered onto a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock and adhered to the card front with SNAIL.

Sweet Sentiment—The sentiment was stamped onto a 2-1/2" x 3/4" piece of Whisper White, then fishtailed on one end. Janet added another layer to the fishtailed end, then popped it up with Dimensionals.

I'm loving Janet's cards because they are simple & sweet...perfect for creating in minutes to let someone know that you care.

Background Basics—Janet's card begins with a Thick Whisper White card base. She layered a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the lovely Share What You Love Designer Series Paper onto the background. Both the card base and the background layer have an eye-catching rounded corner on the top right, courtesy of the Detailed Trio Punch.

Focal Point—She stamped the Wishing You Well wreath in Tranquil Tide onto a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Whisper White, then added a sentiment underneath in the same color. She rounded the top right corner of this layer, too. Janet finished the look by stamping the bow in Mint Macaron onto Whisper White, hand-cutting it and popping it up with Dimensionals.

Thanks so much to Janet for sharing this lovely cards! Can't wait to make some of my own cards with this pretty set!

A Closer Look At The Notes of Kindness Kit

Kit Contents—The kit includes all the supplies needed to create 5 each of 4 card designs in a 5" x 3-1/2" card size, plus matching envelopes, 6-image photopolymer stamp set, clear stamp block, die-cut stickers, embellishments, Basic Black ink spot and a giftable storage box.

Need More Cards? Try The Refill Kit!—Once you purchase the basic kit, you can order 20-card refills to use with the original stamp set and ink spot. How awesome is that?

Card Styles—Each of the four card designs starts with a 5" x 3-1/2" card base pre-printed with a pretty pattern in Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow and Soft Sea Foam greens. All of the stamps focus on thanks and gratitude.

You're So Kind—I think this striped Soft Sea Foam card base is my favorite. The Blushing Bride striped banner is a sticker. The foliage is pre-printed and die-cut, adhered with SNAIL adhesive.

Sentiment & Finishing Touches—I stamped the greeting on a pretty square die-cut with faux stitching. I covered the back with SNAIL adhesive and arranged loops of the gorgeous copper twine. You can't get that twine in the catalog, but I sure wish you could...I LOVE it! I popped up the greeting with Dimensionals, then added a few pearls around the focal point.

Thanks Blossom—The Blushing Bride striped piece and Soft Sea Foam dotted piece are both stickers mounted onto the card base. The blossom is a pre-printed die-cut that I adhered with SNAIL.

Sentiment & Finishing Touches—I stamped the greeting onto the faux-stitched banner, then popped it up with Dimensionals. I tied a bow with the cool copper twine and attached it with a Glue Dot. I added a couple of Pearls floating around the focal point.

Thank You Flower—This time the leaves are pre-printed on the card base. I added SNAIL adhesive on the back of the pre-printed flower and arranged the copper twine in loops, then popped up the flower with Dimensionals.

Sentiment & Finishing Touches—This sentiment is actually a sticker that lays over the top of the flower. I added a few Pearls around the blossom to finish.

Thank You Card—I love the soft round leaves pre-printed on this card base. The Blushing Bride piece is a sticker.

Sentiment & Finishing Touches—I stamped the greeting onto the small die-cut, added some copper twine loops to the back and popped it up with Dimensionals. Some floating Pearls complete the look.

I thoroughly enjoyed making these lovely cards...they were so easy & quick! I love to create my own more detailed cards, but sometimes, it's just kind of fun and relaxing to just stamp a greeting and assemble something that's already so nicely prepped and ready to go! If you haven't tried a Stampin' Up! kit, why not give it a go?! I love these colors so much, I'm going to purchase a refill kit or two!

Country Home Thankful & Grateful Cards

I spent the past three days hanging out with some amazing demonstrators at Ronda Wade's Creative Convention!

Country Home Thankful & Grateful Cards

I'm having lots of fun coloring the pretty harvest bouquets from the Country Home stamp set. My Class-To-Go Kit gives you lots of opportunities to color with your favorite medium. My favorite is using Stampin' Blends, so most of my sample class cards are colored with those markers.

Background Basics—I started with a Mint Macaron card base, then adhered a 5-1/4" x 1-3/4" panel of Country Lane Designer Series Paper along the top and a 5-1/4" x 1" strip along the bottom.

Sweet Sentiment—Next, I stamped a Country Lane sentiment in Early Espresso onto a 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" strip of Crumb Cake. I stamped it close to the right edge, leaving plenty of room for the focal point. I wrapped some Braided Linen Trim around the card front and tied it into a double knot.

Focal Point Coloring—I stamped the Country Home jug and cotton bouquet in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Whisper White, then colored in the image with Stampin' Blends. I colored the jug with a combination of Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake. The bouquet features Mint Macaron leaves, Daffodil Delight & Poppy Parade flowers and a little Crumb Cake on the cotton. It's mounted onto a 2-3/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Mint Macaron, then popped up with Dimensionals. I finished it with a couple of silver Metallic Pearls (which happen to be my September Thank You Gift for orders above $75 using the Host Code: JCZEWNUJ.

Two Cool—For the second card, I did a similar design in a different color combination. The card base is Blackberry Bliss, then I added a 5-1/4" x 2-1/2" piece of striped Country Lane DSP on the top and a 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" piece of Rich Razzleberry Country Lane DSP along the bottom.

Sweet Sentiment—I selected a different Country Home sentiment, stamped in Blackberry Bliss onto a 5" x 1-1/4" piece of Crushed Curry. I fishtailed the end with my super-sharp Paper Snips before adhering it to the card front with SNAIL adhesive.

Coloring—I changed the leaves to Old Olive and the flowers to Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends on this focal point. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same. It's matted onto Blackberry Bliss and I added gold Metallic Pearls for the accents.

Country Home Class-To-Go Kit—Kick off the fall crafting season with the beautiful harvest bouquet images in the Country Home (photopolymer) stamp set. We'll create 6 cards—2 each of 3 designs! Tropical Chic Circle Collage Cards

The beautiful leaves and blossoms in the Tropical Chic stamp set give you lots of elements that layer very nicely together. Add a few strips of the coordinating Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper and a sentiment, and you have a fresh & fun tropical card in no time!

Background Basics—I embossed the 4" x 5-1/4" Soft Sea Foam background layer with the Tufted Texture Impressions Folder, then secured it onto a Soft Sea Foam card base with some Tear & Tape and SNAIL adhesive. Next, I added a 2" x 4" strip and a 3/4" x 5" strip of the Tropical Escape DSP as a foundation for the tropical collage.

Floral Collage Elements—I stamped the large Tropical Chic leaf image in Granny Apple Green ink twice onto Whisper White card stock. The Tropical Chic blossoms were stamped in Blushing Bride ink. All of the images were die-cut with the coordinating Tropical Thinlits. I also die-cut a palm leaf out of Shaded Spruce with the same die set.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Southern Serenade birthday greeting in Shaded Spruce ink onto a Whisper White circle die-cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I popped that up with Dimensionals, then added in the layers of leaves and blossoms with Glue Dots and Dimensionals. I finished by adding some soft green Adhesive-Backed Sequins floating around the sentiment. I love the soft look of these colors!

Two Cool—For the second card, I did a horizontal version with the background in Blushing Bride. I changed up the DSP a little, but kept the same basic collage elements.

Sweet Sentiment—The sentiment on this one if from the Tropical Chic set. I used the iridescent sequins on this one. So pretty! I wasn't sure I wanted to get this bundle, but I'm so glad that I did!

Beautiful Day Vellum Butterfly Cards

I sure have been seeing an amazing amount of pretty butterflies this year...more than I've ever seen before! It made me want to create a pretty butterfly card in my favorite colors! I CASEd this card design from a swap card I received from Darla Eigenschink.

Background Basics—This card begins by stamping the butterfly image from the Beautiful Day stamp set in StazOn Ink onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White. I positioned the butterfly at an angle in the upper right corner, leaving enough room for the sentiment banner. I adhered that background onto a card base in Basic Black. Next, I adhered a 1-1/2" x 4" piece of Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper onto a 1-5/8" x 4" piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. It's mounted onto the background overlapping the butterfly wing just a bit.

Beautiful Butterfly—I stamped the butterfly image again in StazOn Ink onto Vellum Cardstock. Then, I used Stampin' Blends Markers to color on the back of the vellum. I love using Blends, because they don't leave marker strokes in the colored blocks. I used Dark Old Olive, Dark Rich Razzleberry, Dark Bermuda Bay and Light Bermuda Bay Blends colors. I hand-cut the butterfly with super-sharp Paper Snips and attached it with a couple of Glue Dots in the center of the butterfly. I bent up the wings slightly, then added a couple of pink Artisan Pearls on the body.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Beautiful Day greeting in StazOn ink onto a 3" x 1/2" strip of Pool Party cardstock, fishtailed the end, then popped it up with Dimensionals.

Two Cool—My second version is a lighter color combo. It starts with a Petal Pink card base, then I added a Grapefruit Grove pattern of Share What You Love DSP to a Grapefruit Grove mat.

Butterfly Beauty—This butterfly was colored with Dark Calypso Coral, Dark Highland Heather, Dark Granny Apple Green and Light Bermuda Bay. I added Grapefruit Grove Artisan Pearls on the body.

Sweet Sentiment—The sentiment banner is stamped onto Pool Party cardstock like the first card. What a sweet color combination!

Seasonal Wreath Happiness Cards

I participated in several Holiday Catalog swaps last month and collected some beautiful sample cards! Today's cards come to us courtesy of a swap card by Dawn Olchefske. It features the pretty NEW Seasonal Wreath embossing folder that is easy to overlook in the Annual Catalog. I loved Dawn's card so much that I "had" to purchase the folder and try it out myself!

Background Basics—Dawn's swap card begins with a Soft Suede vertically-folded card base. She embossed a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Suede with the Seasonal Wreath Texture Impressions Folder, then adhered it to the card front.

She added a 4" x 1-1/4" strip of Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper along the bottom, then tied the beautiful Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible Ribbon around the card front. Ooohh, I love the gorgeous copper shimmer on that ribbon!

Sweet Sentiment—Dawn stamped the Peaceful Noel sentiment in Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White cardstock. I love the little holly accent! She inked up the leaf, stamped off once, then stamped both leaves without re-inking. The berries are added in Cherry Cobbler. The greeting and Crumb Cake mat was die-cut using the Frosted Bouquet Framelits! It's popped up over the ribbon with Dimensionals.

Two Cool—I loved Dawn's card design so much that I decided to create a second version for my Last Thursdays card class. The card base and embossed background layer are in Tranquil Tide this time.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the same greeting, but instead of holly leaves, I stamped pine needles. I stamped off twice to keep the images light enough to read the greeting. The stamped image matches the DSP so well! I finished by layering the greeting onto a Soft Suede mat.
