Product Spotlight—9 Healing Hugs Card Ideas!

Hi Stamping Friends!

Every demonstrator who achieved the Alaska trip was asked to bring 26 swap cards with them and one of their swap cards was for Stampin' Up! to display.  Once they were all collected, we had 400 swap card ideas up on the display boards!  Wow!  That's a lot of inspiration from some of the top stampers in the Stampin' Up! community!

Healing Hugs Spotlight—I saw quite a few cards created with the Healing Hugs stamp set on display, so I thought it would be fun to share some of the ideas from this popular set. I don't have that stamp set yet, but after seeing these amazing examples, I think I'll have to add it to my Wish List!  Remember, this is one of the DistINKtime stamp sets with ultra-detailed images for a realistic image. 

Please note that these photos are straight from the display board, with horrible lighting, so they are not the best.  Also, I don't know who created these cards, but if YOU created one of them, let me know and I will credit you!

1 Healing Hugs Healing Vibes Card

The beautiful hand-cut Healing Hugs rose is stamped in Merry Merlot and accented with Mossy Meadow & Gray Granite leaves.  It looks amazing against the soft Gray Granite background texture from the Subtle Embossing Folder. 

2 Healing Hugs Get Well Soon Card

A lovely combination of Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Pear Pizzazz colors with Very Vanilla.  A little Silver Glimmer Paper punched with the Starburst Circle Punch helps the sentiment medallion pop!

3 Healing Hugs Sending Well Wishes Card

The Highland Heather rose and Old Olive leaves are hand-cut and popped up against a Tufted texture background.  The sentiment is from Dandelion Wishes, and the layers are created with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and Layering Circles Framelits.  The DSP is from the 6x6" Color Collection packs.

 

4 Healing Hugs Healing Vibes Card

This hand-cut Healing Hugs rose was stamped in the peachy Petal Pink and layered onto DSP and cardstock in the same color.  The leaves are in Pear Pizzazz.  I love how the Petal Pink & Silver Baker's Twine is wrapped around the striped DSP banner.  Looks like the sentiment is stamped in Gray Granite. There are also some silver Metallic Pearl accents.

 

5 Healing Hugs Hugs & Kisses Card

I love the very trendy collage effect on this card!  The rose looks like it's stamped in Blackberry Bliss with Old Olive leaves.  Everything is hand-cut and popped up over lots of textures: Whisper White & Basic Gray strips of cardstock, Silver Sequin Trim and Silver Metallic Thread.  The background is a soft marble print from the Petal Promenade DSP.  The sentiment is just a portion of one of the longer phrases in the Healing Hugs set.

6 Healing Hugs Thanks For All You Do Card

Petal Promenade DSP was also used on the bottom of this card, along with a border created with the Delicate Lace Edgelits.  The Healing Hugs rose looks like it was inked in Calypso Coral, then sponged around the edges with the darker Poppy Parade ink.  It gives a fun shaded look that mirrors the look of the Calypso Coral Ombré Ribbon.  The sentiment is from Friendly Expressions.

 

7 Healing Hugs Get Well Flap Card

The Gorgeous Grape & Black combination is so elegant!  This card is essentially a tri-fold card with the sentiment element attached to a flap that folds in last.  What a fun, fancy-fold style!

8 Healing Hugs Healing Vibes Wood Plank Card

This Healing Hugs display card may be my favorite yet!  I love the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper giving a rustic look on the background.  The Healing Hugs rose is stamped in Coastal Cabana and the leaves are stamped in Lemon Lime Twist.  It's hard to tell here, but I think the images are either stamped on Shimmery White Paper, or painted with Wink of Stella, because they definitely have a shimmer to them.  The Touches of Texture image was used to add some Poppy Parade flecks of color over the blooms.  The little branch is also from Healing Hugs, and it's embossed in White.  So many fun details on this card!

 

9 Healing Hugs You're The Friend Card

The final Healing Hugs card features some masking to create three overlapping Blackberry Bliss blooms and lots of foliage.  The sentiment is from the limited-time Blended Seasons stamp set.
