Product Spotlight—10 Tropical Chic Card Ideas!

Hi Stamping Friends!

One of the most popular stamp sets that was used on the Alaska Trip swaps was Tropical Chic!  This is another bundle that I do not have yet, but I was so impressed by all of the samples that I saw! 

Tropical Chic Bundle Spotlight—The Tropical Chic stamp set has pretty foliage images that are fun for layered stamping, but it's the Tropical Thinlits dies that really takes projects to the next level!  I was so inspired by the swap cards that I saw from my fellow trip achievers.  I hope you enjoy them and feel inspired, too!

Please note that these photos are straight from the display board at horrible angles and with horrible lighting, so they are not the best.  Also, I don't know who created these cards, but if YOU created one of them, let me know and I will credit you!

1 Tropical Chic You're The Greatest Card

A couple panels of the Tropical Escape 6x6" Designer Series Paper and a Blushing Bride background embossed with the Tufted folder create a colorful foundation for this card.  The flowers are stamped in Blushing Bride, leaves in Lemon Lime Twist & Shaded Spruce and sentiment in Shaded Spruce.  The Soft Sea Foam Adhesive Backed Sequins coordinate perfectly.

 
2 Tropical Chic Diagonal Easel Card

The die-cut elements mirror the images in the Tropical Escape DSP on this diagonal fold easel card.  The one leaf looks like it's been stamped in Granny Apply Green, then sponged with Shaded Spruce.  Finished with some Rhinestone Jewels.

 
3 Tropical Chic Leaves Square Card

I simply adore that square leaves die-cut with the Tropical Thinlits!  It's popped up with Dimensionals over a piece of Tropical Escape DSP.  It looks amazing against the Tufted background.  Accented with a single Blushing Bride flower and Rhinestone Jewels.

 
4 Tropical Chic Thank You Card

Ooh, the addition of the pretty Poppy Parade color takes this card to the next level!  The inside background is stamped in Granny Apple Green & Shaded Spruce leaves with Poppy Parade flowers.  The front has a background embossed with the Climbing Vine Folder.  The focal point has one stamped Granny Apple Green leave, one die-cut Shaded Spruce and one stamped and die-cut Poppy Parade bloom.

 
5 Tropical Chic Celebrate Card

The pretty background is created by stamping the Tropical Chic leaves in Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce.  The Celebrate You word was die-cut in Basic Black.  Some Lemon Lime Twist Ombré Ribbon and Granny Apply Green Glitter Gems add the finishing touches.

6 Tropical Chic Front Overlap Card

I love this overlap style of card, especially with this bundle!  The front features a short panel with the Tropical Escape DSP that provides the color combination.  The lovely square leaves die-cut makes a pretty focal point.  The inside is decorated with stamped and die-cut with leaves and the inside background has a subtle Blushing Bride stamped pattern.  One of my faves!

7 Tropical Chic In Gray Granite Card

The square leaves die-cut looks amazing in other colors, too.  This time it overlays a Gray Granite background and is paired with some Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper.  It's finished with some Basic Black Metallic Thread and a sentiment punched with the Tailored Tag Punch.

 
8 Black & White Tropical Chic Card

Wow!  This card is a stunner!  I love the black & white color combination and all of the gorgeous layering. The Tropical Thinlits has both outline die-cuts for the stamped images and beautiful detailed leaf die-cuts for a variety of layering options.  It's finished off with Black Mini Sequins Trim, Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and sequins.  Another favorite!

 

9 Tropical Chic Sweet Aloha Card

I love the addition of the wavy texture from the Seaside Folder on the side.  The focal point starts with a Tropical Escape DSP background and some stamped and die-cut leaves.  The flower is topped with a couple of sweet Pearl Jewels.  The "Aloha" is created with the Make A Difference alphabet set.  I love the hand-written look of that font!

 

10 Tropical Chic Green Greatest Card

The final card features lots of pretty green leaves against a Tropical Escape DSP background and a pop of Petal Pink color with the flower.  It's embellished with some Granny Apple Green Texture Weave Ribbon and a Glitter Gem.
