Our Too Cool Team had a masculine card swap during our meeting on Monday Night and Darla Eigenschink created this lovely Z-fold card featuring the Moon Lake stamp set. This set is so pretty and perfect for masculine cards. Are we allowed to call a masculine card "pretty?"
Background Basics—Darla started with a 11" x 4-1/4" Night of Navy card base that was scored at the 2-3/4" and 5-1/2" marks. The card is folded in half like a traditional card, but the first panel is folded back to create the "Z."
She decorated that front panel with a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack. Those little 4-1/2 x 6-1/2" paper stacks are so versatile!
Z-Fold Focal Point—Darla stamped the Moon Lake image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock. The image was colored with ink pads and Blender Pens. Looks like she used Night of Navy & Baked Brown Sugar for the boat; Wild Wasabi & Early Espresso for the tree; and Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz * Basic Gray for the lake, grass and rocks.
Finishing Touches—Darla wrapped the stamped layer with some Linen Thread before mounting it onto a 4-1/8" x 2-7/8" piece of Sahara Sand. She added an Antique Brad, not only for decoration, but also to give the card some weight to keep the front of the card from popping up. The front panel is attached on the left side to the front panel of the z-fold.
