Simply Irresistible Projects! 

Today, I'm sharing a couple of our Too Cool Team swaps from earlier this month.

Both cards have backgrounds created with the super-cool Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper has been a very popular Sale-A-Bration choice, and it's not hard to see why. 

The package comes with two each of 6 elegant white-on-white embossed designs that can be customized with any ink color.

 

#1 Lotus Blossom & Leaves—Darla Eigenschink created this lovely card featuring the gorgeous, three-step Lotus Blossom stamp set.

 

Background Basics—She started with a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of the Irresistibly Yours DSP with the embossed leaves pattern and sponged on Coastal Cabana ink.  It's layered on a 4" x 5-1/4" Coastal Cabana card stock mat, then wrapped with some Crushed Curry ribbon from the Best Year Ever Ribbon & Button Accessory Pack from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  After tying it in a double-knot and trimming it into a faux bow, the layer is adhered to the Whisper White card base.

     

Lovely Lotus—The Lotus Blossom is stamped on a 2-1/4 x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White in Crushed Curry for the shading, Daffodil Delight for the mid-tones, and Daffodil Delight stamped off once for the lightest color.  The stem is stamped in Old Olive and the sentiment in Coastal Cabana to match the background.  It's matted on a 2-3/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Crushed Curry then popped up with Dimensionals. So simple and elegant!

#2 Celebrate Your Big Day—Michelle Hoover created this festive birthday card featuring the Big Day Sale-a-Bration stamp set!

  

Background Basics—She sponged on Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana on the diagonal striped Irresistibly Yours DSP to create a bright & cheery, rainbow colored background.  How fun!  It's adhered to a Coastal Cabana card base.

 

Big Day Banner—For the focal point, she stamped the Big Day Sale-A-Bration stamp set image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a Whisper White Banner Framelit die-cut.  The "cake" word is colored in with Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana Blendabilities Markers.  The banner was adhered onto a larger Banner Framelit die-cut in Crushed Curry card stock and popped up with Dimensionals.

The same image was stamped again on scrap paper and the "celebrate" banner was hand-cut, colored with Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers and popped up over the top with Dimensionals.

Bitty Bow—Michelle topped off the banner off with a Calypso Coral mini-bow created with the Bow Builder Punch.  I love how she added a Rhinestone Jewel in the center of the bow that she colored with the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities Markers.

Hi Stamping Friends!

I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring to arrive!  It's been bitterly cold for weeks and I'm looking forward to riding my bike in the warm sunshine, hearing the birdies start to sing again and watching the flowers bloom on the trees. 

You know, Spring is really not that far away—March 20th!  That's only 3 weeks!  Yippee! 

Until it arrives, I guess I'll just hunker down in my craft room with my space heater aimed at my toes, and keep creating cards that remind me that spring is right around the corner! 

Today's card definitely fits that description!

We created this delightful Vivid Vases card at my Last Thursdays class last night.  I love the bright & cheery colors—just what I needed to fend off the winter blahs!

CASEd from Gloria Kremer at Girlfriend Originals.

Background Basics—I started by randomly stamping the Gorgeous Grunge splatter image all over the Coastal Cabana card base with Coastal Cabana ink.  I cut a 3-1/2" x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock for the focal point and rounded two corners with the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch.

   

Vivid Vases Wow #1—It's so fun to color the Vivid Vases single stamp with the Blendabilities Markers to give the vases beautiful shading and dimension.  I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, which is the recommended black ink to use with the alcohol-based Blendabilities Markers.

There are a lot of ways you can go about coloring with Blendabilities Markers and many times it depends on the image and how large the area is that you are about to color.  For the vases, I started at the bottom and sides with the darkest color marker using the fine bullet nib, then continued progressing to the medium and lighter colors as I moved to the center and top of the vase. 

TIP: If you have stroke lines between two shades of color, simply continue to color over the top of it until they dissipate.  The card stock will not pill, but the color will start to seep through, so make sure your work surface is protected.

My vases are colored with Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities. I used the fine tip of the Old Olive Blendabilities to define the stems and color the leaves.

Finishing Touches—I stamped a 4-1/2" x 3/4" strip of Daffodil Delight card stock with the diagonal striped image from Gorgeous Grunge in the same color.  After fish-tailing one end, I adhered it flush to the right side of the focal point, the popped the whole stamped layer with Dimesionals onto the card front.  

I added a small Silver Baker's Twine Bow with a Glue Dot and sprinkled a few Rhinestone Jewels around the vases for some shiny accents.

 

Two Cool—My second version uses all the same elements on the horizontal. 

  

I chose the "lines" image from the Gorgeous Grunge set to create the diagonal pattern on the Daffodil Delight strip and fish-tailed both ends this time.  

Vivid Vases Wow #2—After I was done, I decided to make the vases even more realistic by adding some Crystal Effects!  This thick, clear adhesive dries to a shiny, raised finish, giving the vases the appearance of glass or porcelain.  Awesome! 

TIPS For Using Crystal Effects: I outlined the vase just inside the lines with the Crystal Effects using the fine tip applicator, then used the tip to help fill in the rest of the vase.  You can use a toothpick to pull the adhesive into smaller areas, if necessary.  Fill the areas until the surface is smooth. If you have any uneven spots, it will dry that way.  If you have any bubbles in the glue, use a toothpick to pop them, or they could stick around, too.  You'll need to let the adhesive dry thoroughly...at least an hour, but preferably longer to make sure it won't smudge.  The thicker the application, the longer it takes to dry.

Hi Stamping Friends!

Have you ever met someone and instantly started talking with them like old friends?  I had that happen to me yesterday. While I was waiting for my pedicure to dry, I started chatting with a lady next to me and we quickly discovered our mutual love of creating handmade cards!  Although she said she didn't stamp on her cards, her passion about card making was apparent and we excitedly talked about why we loved creating and sending our handmade masterpieces. I knew she had my same enthusiasm when she said she sent out 300 cards for Christmas! Yep, she's hooked, just like me!

We also found out we had several other things in common like daily walking and cheering for Indiana Hoosiers mens basketball.  We sat there much longer than we needed to, just talking away like we'd known each other for years!  How fun!

I gave her my business card and encouraged her to check out my blog to see my card ideas, but I only got her lovely first name.  Who knows if I'll ever have the opportunity to talk to her again, but just in case she is checking out today's blog, I wanted to give her a shout-out. Marcille, you really brightened my day!  Thank you!

Today, I'm sharing another card from my Last Thursdays class tonight!  It features the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper, which has been one of the most popular Sale-A-Bration selections so far.  It really is so much fun because you can sponge on any colors for an instant, awesome background!

Inspired by Gloria Kremer at Girlfriend Originals.

Background Basics—I started with a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock and layered it on a 3-7/8' x 5-1/8" Pear Pizzazz mat then adhered to a Whisper White card base.  I adhered a 3-3/4" x 1/2" strip of Silver Foil across the bottom, so I knew where to position my greeting.

 

Sponged Resist—The beautiful colored element starts with a 1-3/4" x 5" piece of white Irresistibly Yours DSP that has a lovely embossed leaf pattern.  I used Sponge Daubers to randomly sponge on Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky and Pool Party inks for a soft & cool color combination.  I wiped any excess ink off of the glossy designs with a tissue to bring out the bright white designs. 

Silver Butterfly—Of course the featured element is the gorgeous Butterfly Thinlit die-cut!  I love how it looks in shiny Silver Foil!  So elegant!  I colored a few Rhinestone Jewels with the darkest color of Coastal Cabana Blendabilities Markers and added them to represent the butterfly body.  The whole element is adhered with just a few Glue Dots in the center, so the wings can flutter free.

Two Cool—I tried a second version in a color combination that was just a tad darker & brighter: Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana and Island Indigo.

 

Sweet Sentiment—I selected the elegant greetings from the Wetlands stamp set, stamped in Pool Party on the first card and Island Indigo on this one.

Did you see that I added a matching Rhinestone Jewels on the silver strip, too?  Hard to see, but it matches the butterfly body.

The Rhinestone Jewels on the second card are colored with Bermuda Bay Blendabilities Markers.

You may recognize today's card because it's a reprise of a card I did for my Four Feathers class, this time done in rich, regal colors with golden accents.  

Here are the previous versions.  I like the jewel tone colors even better than the blues & grays on the original! 

CASEd from Julie Davison at Julie's Stamping Spot.   

Background Basics—I started with a traditional Whisper White card base and added a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Blackberry Bliss.  I couldn't get the color to look right on my photo, but it really is a deep, rich purple, not Early Espresso. LOL!

Golden Leaves—This photo is a much better representation of the Blackberry Bliss color.  Just look at how those Four Feathers images, stamped in Encore Gold Ink, shimmer and pop on the dark background!  OOoooooh!  So elegant! 

Three Feathers—I stamped one of the large Four Feathers images in Blackberry Bliss and the other in Cajun Craze onto Whisper White card stock.  Then, I used the coordinating Feathers Framelits to die-cut them, along with a Champagne Glimmer Paper feather.  I love the rose gold color of the Champagne Glimmer Paper over the brassier Gold Glimmer Paper, and I think Champagne matches the Gold Encore Ink better, too! 

The trio of feathers is popped up with Dimensionals on a  2-3/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White, then matted on a 3" x 3-1/2" layer of Cajun Craze card stock.

Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the Four Feathers stamp set and the Feathers Framelits together as a Feathers Bundle and save 15% off the cost of purchasing them separately.

Sweet Sentiment—I inked a greeting from the Sheltering Tree stamp set in Cajun Craze and stamped it on a 3/8" wide strip of Whisper White.  I trimmed the length to about 3-5/8" long and fish-tailed the ends before layering it over the center of the focal point. 

Golden Jewels—I colored the Rhinestone Jewels with the darkest color of Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.

 

Two Cool—My second version simply re-positions the sentiment underneath the focal point and moves the jewels to the card base.

Hi Stamping Friends!

Last Call!  We've got deadlines coming up tomorrow for two classes: the "Last Thursdays" card class and the March Stamp-of-the-Month class featuring Painted Petals.  Class-To-Go kits are available for both!

Today, I'm sharing the final two cards from the Painted Petals class, but first...

The last two cards from my 5-card Painted Petals class both feature pretty, miniature tulips!

    

Amazing Tulip Border Card—Isn't this card cute & quaint?  I stepped out of my comfort zone and kept this one very clean and simple. I wanted to highlight the mini tulip trio image and show how adorable it looks as a focal point!

Twinkling Tulips—I stamped the 3-stems image all the way across the edge of a 5-1/2" x 1-3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock in Pear Pizzazz ink.  Then I added multicolored blooms by coloring on the flower stamp with Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers. 

I used my 2-Way Glue Pen to add some Dazzling Diamonds glitter over the blooms.

TIP: I highly recommend the photopolymer style for this stamp set for accurate alignment.  I purchased the clear stamps and it's not as easy to get perfect positioning.  See how my tulips are overlapping my stems a little?  I wouldn't have had that if I was using the see-thru photopolymer.  Bottom line: If it's a two-step stamp set, photopolymer is better (and cheaper, too)! 

Finishing Touches—I added a Hello Honey Sweet Dreams Washi Tape border to the top of my Whisper White stamped piece, then adhered it to my Crushed Curry card base.  I finished it by wrapping some Whisper White Painted Blooms Cotton Twine around the card front and tying into a bow.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Painted Petals greeting in Coastal Cabana onto Whisper White card stock, then punched out the words with the Decorative Label Punch. It's popped up with Dimensionals over the twine.

TIP: Don't forget to stamp first, then use the punch upside-down over the top, so you can center the image inside the punch!

A Field of Painted Blooms Card—My last card from the Painted Petals class is filled with colorful and cheery flowers...like a spring meadow!

Background Basics—I featured my favorite Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper design for the background.  The 5" x 3-3/4" piece is matted on a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Wild Wasabi card stock. 

Lovely Layers—I added a 5" x 1-1/2" piece of Soft Sky to create a foundation for the focal point.  The vertical lines are stamped with the stripes image from the Painted Petals set. Oooh! What a fun background pattern!  Love it! 

I accented the layer by tying some Wild Wasabi Cotton Twine around it, then I adhered it to the Rose Red card base.

I also added a 1" x 3-3/4" strip of Crushed Curry card stock for a vertical layer under the focal point.

Focal Point—I created the two-color blooms by inking the image first in Daffodil Delight and then coloring the center of the flowers on the stamp with a Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Marker.  After it's all inked and colored, I huffed on the stamp to re-moisten it, then stamped it on a Whisper White 2-1/2" Circle punched shape. 

The Painted Petals sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I popped up the element with Dimensionals.

Bitty Butterfly—I couldn't resist adding a double-layer Rose Red Bitty Butterfly to the edge of my focal point.  I bent the wings up a bit and adhered some Pearl Jewels for the body.  So cute!

Let's get a closer look at one of the class cards we'll be creating at "Last Thursdays!"

   

This card design was a last-minute addition to my "Last Thursdays" class and I think it may be my favorite from the class!  I'm loving how quickly and easily the striped washi tape pattern comes together for a super-fun background! 

And, I've been trying to use some of my favorite 2013-2015 In Colors before they are retired on June 2, 2015.  Can you believe it?  I don't know what I'm gonna do without my Coastal Cabana!!!! 

CASEd from Lisa Martz at Get Your Stamp On.

Background Basics—The traditional-size card base is Pistachio Pudding card stock, layered with a 4" x 5-1/4" Basic Black mat. 

Sweet Washi Stripes—For the background, I started with a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock and added 5 strips of "sweet" washi tape from the Sweet Dreams Washi Tape in the Occasions Catalog and the Sweet Sadie Washi Tape from the Annual Catalog.

Starting from the top:

• Basic Gray pluses from Sweet Dreams Washi Tape
• Crisp Cantaloupe stripes from Sweet Sadie Washi Tape
• Pistachio Pudding hearts from Sweet Sadie Washi Tape
• Crisp Cantaloupe dots from Sweet Dreams Washi Tape
• Basic Black scallops from Sweet Sadie Washi Tape

The tape is wrapped around the edge to the back of the card for a nice, finished look. 

Painted Petals Pretties—My focal point is stamped with the two-step Painted Petals set onto a piece of 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" Whisper White.  I stamped the leaves first in Pistachio Pudding, then added the Crisp Cantaloupe blooms. TIP: I recommend getting the see-thru photopolymer style Painted Petals stamps for perfect positioning.

The Painted Petals sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink right over the top.  I framed the layer onto a 2-3/8" x 3-3/8" piece of Basic Black and popped it up on the card front with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—For a little shine, I added a few silver sequins from the retired Frosted Sequins from the Holiday Catalog with a few dabs of Multipurpose Glue. 

   

Two Cool—I had so much fun with the above CASEd card that I decided to try it in another color combination.  

Wonder Washi Options—Stampin' Up! has lots of washi tape colors and patterns to choose from, so you really could create a variety of cool washi tape striped backgrounds! Here are the 4 washi tape packs I used for my second version:

• Basic Gray "pluses" from Sweet Dreams Washi Tape
• Pool Party stripes from Beach House Washi Tape
• Pistachio Pudding hearts from Sweet Sadie Washi Tape
• Coastal Cabana arrows from Retro Fresh Washi Tape

Pretty Petals Part 2—The leaves are again stamped in Pistachio Pudding ink and the flowers are stamped in Coastal Cabana.  The sentiment is another from the Painted Petals set.

#1 Painted Petals Thank You—Those of you who attended our Kickoff Party will recognize this pretty Painted Petals (wood, clear, photopolymer) card.  Michelle combined the roses from the stamp set with the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper for a lovely tag card.

#2 Golden Glimmer Butterfly—Nancy featured a gorgeous Gold Glimmer Paper butterfly with the Butterfly Thinlits on her Sale-A-Bration team swap this month.  I love how she created a butterfly body and antennae, too!  The sentiment is stamped on Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper, a Sale-a-Bration selection, that's been sponged with Old Olive ink.

#3 Bokeh Lotus Blossom—Peggy featured the Sale-A-Bration Lotus Blossom set on a modified bokeh background! 

 

She sponged on circles in Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon and White Craft Ink from a Window Sheet mask, and finished off with some Vellum cardstock 1/2" Circles.  Sweet!

She used the Hearts Collection Framelits to die-cut the hearts.  I love her Red Glimmer Paper accents.

#6 Gold Soiree Butterfly—I love the elegant Gold Foil Butterfly Thinlits die-cut on this beautiful birthday card featuring Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper.  The In Color Sequins and Gold Sequin Trim, and the circles on the background pick up the dotted pattern of the paper.  Very nice!

Hi Stamping Friends!

A big shout out to everyone who attended my Fun Folds & Amazing Accents class this week!  They were such fun cards to make!  It was one of my most popular Class-To-Go kits so far and the kits are in the mail for those participants, by the way.  Thank you!

Today, I'm sharing the final project from the class and it's definitely a FUN fold!

CASEd from Julie Davison at Julie's Stamping Spot.

This awesome card style not only swings and flips, it also has a pop-out on the inside!  Too Cool!  It's sure to delight the recipient! 

And, I love that it's just a simple, 3-part construction for the card base.  It's not tricky at all!  I'll walk you through each step...

 

Card Assembly Basics #1—I started with a standard 5-1/2' x 8-1/2" Rose Red card base and used the Square Collection Framelits to die-cut a window on the card front.

  

Card Assembly Basics #2—Next, I cut a 6" x 5-1/4" Whisper White piece and scored it along the 6" side at 2" and 4".  I folded it accordion-style and situated it so the last two panels open like a traditional card.  After stamping that last panel (we'll get to those details later), I adhered it to the outer edge of the card's inside. 

TIP: Make sure you have your inside positioned correctly before adhering.  When the last panel is flat against the card, the adjacent panel to the left should be folded up toward you, not away from you.  Follow the photo above.

 

Card Assembly Basics #3—Next, fold the accordion flat, close the cover and add Fast Fuse Adhesive to the part of the Whisper White that is showing through the window.  Die-cut a Pear Pizzazz square with the same size Square Collections Framelit and position it through the window.

This what it should look like when you open it.

I didn't like that the swinging panel was hanging free and not automatically opening when I opened the card.  I needed "idiot-proof!"  So, I added one more little piece that made all the difference!

    

Helpful Hinge—I cut a 2" x 1/2" piece of Whisper White and scored it in half on the 1" mark.  Then I added some Fast Fuse Adhesive to the "mountain" side of the fold.  I folded out the left panel and adhered the hinge to the edge, flush with the score line on the hinge.

 

Fold the last panel back into place, so the adhesive on the other half of the hinge is now showing.  Then, simply close the card and the hinge will catch the back of the card front.  Now the card should pop out and swing around automatically!  Sweet!

Here's an up-close of how it should look when it's all decorated!

 

Sheltering Tree Stamping—I stamped the Pear Pizzazz ground on the bottom of a 3" x 3" piece of Whisper White.  The tree is stamped in Early Espresso with Blushing Bride flowers on the tree. Along the ground, I stamped flower stems in Pear Pizzazz and added Rose Red and Blushing Bride blooms on top.  And, I finished off the two-step bicycle in Early Espresso with a Rose Red frame.

 

I added a matching bike on the inside.

 

Sweet Sentiment—I finished by stamping a sentiment from Sheltering Tree in Early Espresso ink onto a 1/2" strip of Whisper White.  It's trimmed with fish-tail ends and popped up with Dimensionals.

 

Two Cool—Since I was die-cutting the same size squares from two different colors, I made two cards in opposite color combinations to be efficient! 

I love how this one turned out with some minor changes in stamping elements and colors.

 

I added Pear Pizzazz leaves to the tree this time and hung a swing from its branches.  The ground is covered with wildflowers.

The inside has a tiny field of flowers, too!

This sentiment was a little longer, so I positioned it flush to the card's edge and fish-tailed only one end.

You've got to try this super-fun card!

I'm a little sad today. Just thinking about My Mommy on the anniversary of her passing.  I can't believe that she's been gone for 7 years...how can that be?!

Today, I'm sharing a third project from my Painted Petals Stamp-of-the-Month Class coming up on March 12.  Registration deadline for the local class and Class-To-Go kits is one week from today, February 25, 2015!

Card Base—I started with a Soft Sky card base and, for a little extra interest, I rounded the outer edge corners of the card base with the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch. 

Background Layer—Rather than just stamping on the card base, I created a 4" x 5-1/4" Soft Sky second layer for the background.  I stamped diagonally across it with the Painted Petals cluster of flowers in matching Soft Sky ink. Before adhering the Soft Sky layer, I rounded the outer corners just like the card base and sponged around all the edges with a hint of Soft Sky ink.  It gives the layer just a little definition that I really like.

 

Focal Point—Starting with a 4" x 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White, I stamped the flower stems in Wild Wasabi on the bottom left, then added Rose Red roses on the top.  I especially love the look of dots border stamp on this element.  I stamped it in Soft Sky ink on one side of the stems, and then the other. 

Sweet Sentiment—The greeting is inked in contrasting Blackberry Bliss.  Isn't it such a cool, refreshing color combination with that pop of dark purple?!  So pretty!

 

Finishing Touches—I matted the stamped layer onto a piece of 4" x 2-3/4" Blackberry Bliss card stock, then popped up the whole element with Dimensionals.  Finally, I added a cute bow created from the Soft Sky Painted Blooms Cotton Twine. You'll receive the Painted Blooms twine 3-pack, along with the Painted Petals stamp set, in the Painted Blooms 5-card class kit.

   

Two Cool—My second version has all of the same basic elements on a horizontal card base.  The diagonal background flowers, the rounded corners and sponging are all the same. 

I changed up my border stamp, giving me some room for stamping a second set of flowers.  I wanted that second pair to be down a little bit so the flowers were a little more staggered, but I misstamped.  If you select the photopolymer style, you won't have any problems lining them up.  I'm kicking myself for not choosing those all-clear stamps! 

Rather than a bow, I tied the Painted Blooms around the element and tied it in a double knot.

Quick, simple and cute...just how I like it!

Today, I'm sharing another project from my Painted Petals Stamp-of-the-Month Class coming up on March 12.  Registration deadline for the local class and Class-To-Go kits is one week from today, February 25, 2015! 

I love this simple card design with delightful, coordinating colors & patterns! It was a really fun & surprisingly quick card to create!   

Floral Texture—The background of this card features a 4" x 2-1/4" piece of Crisp Cantaloupe card stock is embossed with the new Spring Flowers Texture Impressions Folder. I love how the pattern coordinates so well with the Painted Petals images! 

Irresistibly Striped—The top striped 4" x 3" piece is a pattern from the new Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper, which is a Sale-a-Bration item that you can select for FREE with a $50 order.  This specialty paper is white with a glossy white pattern that will resist whatever color of ink you add to it.  I sponged on some Crisp Cantaloupe with a Sponge Dauber.  I used a lighter touch when sponging this card.  You can make the ink much more bold by sponging on more, adding ink directly from the ink pad, or by rolling it on with a brayer.

  

Washi Wow—I added a strip of black Stacked With Love Washi Tape across the bottom of this piece before adding it to the Calypso Coral card base.  The contrasting color adds to the elegance of this card.

Amazing Oval Focal Point—I stamped the long stems from the Painted Petals set in Wild Wasabi onto an Ovals Collection Framelits die-cut shape.  For the flowers, I inked the stamps first in Crisp Cantaloupe, then colored the centers of the stamps with the Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker before stamping.  This created beautiful, two-shade details to the roses. 

Sweet Sentiment—The phrase is stamped over the top with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Bloomin' Bow—I finished off the focal point by adhering a Painted Blooms Wild Wasabi Cotton Twine bow with a Glue Dot to the flower stems. The Painted Blooms 3-Pack of Cotton Twine comes with your Stamp-of-the-Month Kit!

The focal point is popped up with Dimensionals, of course!

Two Cool—I used the same elements to create a horizontal version of this card.  

This time I flipped the texture embossed piece over to the "de-bossed" side. Sweet!

I used the other leaves/flower, two-step combination from the Painted Petals set for this version.  And I tried a different sentiment that fit better in the space.  I REALLY love how both versions turned out!
