Hi Stamping Friends!
I can't believe that I'm already done creating new classes with holiday products! That seems pretty weird considering the holidays have officially just begun! But, now I'm working on some fun projects that will take us into the New Year. Here's a peek at what is coming...
Mark Your Calendars For NEW Classes!
- TC Stamper Sampler—Rescheduled to Monday, December 15. We'll be creating a handy Birthday Card Organizer with Lullaby Designer Series Paper. It's a perpetual birthday calendar book with pockets to store cards each month. More details coming soon!
- "Last Thursdays" Card Class—Rescheduled to Monday, December 29.
- January Stamp-of-the-Month Class—Featuring Four Feathers. Thursday, January 8.
More details for these classes coming soon!

If you love to color, pairing up the Christmas Bauble single stamp and your favorite Blendabilities Markers will be right up your alley! It's so fun to try different color combinations on this gorgeous ornament shape! Once you try one, you won't want to stop!
CASEd from Terri Ransom at Stampin' With Terri.
Background Basics—For my first card, I featured gold accents. I started with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Gold Foil, but before I adhered it to the Rich Razzleberry card base, I punched out a 1-1/4" Circle that I used later on the focal point. No one will even know you have a circle punched out of the center once it's covered with the next layer. Efficient stamping!
Embossed Pine—I stamped the Ornamental Pine branch in VersaMark Ink along the top edge of a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White, then embossed it in Gold Embossing Powder with the Heat Tool until it was glossy & smooth. TIP: Make sure that you leave enough room for the ornament and sentiment underneath!
Bauble Basics—I embossed the Christmas Bauble image in gold onto a piece of Whisper White card stock, so I could pop up parts of the image later.
Colored Ornament—I colored the bauble with Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities Markers. If you're intimidated with these markers, this is a fantastic image to start with because you can't color it wrong—I promise! I outlined each section with the darkest color, then colored progressively lighter toward the centers. The key to smooth blending is to color with the fine nib in small circles over the stroke lines until they disappear. Don't worry about overcoloring...the paper won't pill like it does with regular markers.
Ornament Layers—Once the ornament is colored, I hand-cut the image with my super-sharp Paper Snips, cutting the holly & berries off completely. Next, punch out the center of the ornament with the 1" Circle Punch and pop that over the gold foil circle that was punched out earlier.
Holly Accent—The holly was colored with Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities. I cut this part off the bauble so that I could adhere the ornament directly to the card front with SNAIL, then pop up the holly leaves with Dimensionals. Love that little 3D detail!
Sweet Sentiment—I finished the card by stamping a greeting from Wondrous Wreath in Rich Razzleberry ink. Perfect!
My alternate version featured Silver Foil for the background and a Coastal Cabana card base.
The Christmas Bauble was embossed with Silver Embossing Powder, then colored with the same Blendabilities marker colors, along with the matching Coastal Cabana.
If you look closely, you'll see that I colored the metal cap on the top of the ornament with the Stampin' Dazzle Silver Marker. The first card would have looked great with the Gold Dazzle Marker, but I didn't have one on hand.
I absolutely love how these turned out! If you're looking for a card design to mass-produce, this one isn't it, because it does take a bit more time. But, it's totally worth it for a handful of special holiday cards this season!
