Today, I'm sharing one of the projects that we did at last week's "Last Thursdays" card class. It's a CASE from a pretty card that Carmen DeBruce shared at our last Too Cool Team Shoebox Swap.
Background Basics—I embossed a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana with the Modern Mosaic Folder, then adhered it to a Whisper White card base.
Darling Daisies—For the focal point, I started by stamping two Work of Art flower center dots in Basic Gray onto a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock. Next, I stamped around the centers with the small Work of Art swoosh image inked in Pistachio Pudding.
.
After I stamped around each five or six times, I stamped around the centers again 6 times with the Coastal Cabana ink. The two layers are a little offset, so the color underneath shows between the petals like leaves.
Finishing Touches—I finished the piece by stamping the sentiment in Basic Gray, then matting it on a 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" piece of Basic Black card stock. That layer is popped up with Dimensionals on the card front.
I punched a Bitty Butterfly from the Pistachio Pudding card stock and adhered it to the card with a Glue Dot. It's accented with Rhinestone Jewels.
Two Cool—My second card the same basic elements on a horizontal card. This time, I used Sahara Sand for the leaves & butterfly, and Crisp Cantaloupe for the flower petals & background.
I was totally impressed by how super-quick this card is to create!
Which color combination do you like best? My class overwhelmingly chose the Crisp Cantaloupe version as the favorite.
This is going to be a very creative week for me as I finish putting together my next round of classes. I've got some awesome projects planned for you including two of my favorite stamps of the season—Wondrous Wreath and Festival of Trees! Plus, you won't want to miss my TC Stamper Sampler class featuring a fabulous One Sheet Wonder card set! More details will be coming soon!

Today, I'm sharing two projects from my Too Cool Team and both feature a fun, half-cut card opening style! Have you seen this style before? I like to call them "Dutch door" cards because them remind me of the double Dutch doors you sometimes see on barns (I am from Indiana, ya know!). Whatever you call them, they sure are Too Cool!
The first card is one that Michelle Hoover brought for us to create at our September team shoebox swap and it features the Fall Fest stamps and Fun Fall Framelits. You can see her original card at Hoover's Dam Stamping.
Half-Cut Card Base—The card starts with 4-1/4" x 11" Basic Black card stock, scored at 5-1/2" and folded. Then we cut off 2" off the top of the front cover of the card using the Stampin' Trimmer, so it opens like this:
Inside Details—We stamped the "trick or treat" phrase from the Good Greetings stamp set across the top of the 5-1/4" x 4" Whisper White card stock so that it shows when the card cover is closed.
FREE Good Greetings Set—Now thru October 31, you can earn the Good Greetings stamp set for FREE when you host a $300 workshop! Contact me to schedule your Girls Night Out today to earn yours!
Background Basics—The front half cover of Michelle's card is decorated with a 5-3/8" x 2-1/8" piece of Crushed Curry card stock and a 5-1/8" x 1-7/8" piece of Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper
Pumpkin Patch—The Fall Fest pumpkins are stamped in Tangerine Tango on Whisper White, and the faces were added with Memento Black Ink. They are die-cut with the coordinating Fun Fall Framelits, then accented with Basic Black and Crushed Curry die-cut leaves from the same set. Three Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine bows were added with Glue Dots.
Carmen DeBruce also tried out the half-cut card style on a recent project she created and it turned out fabulously!
Flower Garden—She started with a Crisp Cantaloupe card base, and also cut 2" off the front. She lined the half-cover with pretty layered flowers from the Flower Shop and Petite Petals stamp sets, punched with the Pansy Flower and Petite Petals punches, and topped with Rhinestone Jewels. The decorative paper on the front is retired.
The inside is stamped with a sentiment from Million & One! Lovely!
SPECIAL:Weekly Deals—New specials announced every Tuesday!

Hi Stamping Friends!
Welcome to Sunday Showcase! I have an eclectic mixture of cards today from stamping friends and recent displays I've seen. Let's get right to it!
* * * * *
Created by Carmen DeBruce. CASEd from France Martin at Stamp & Scrap with Frenchie. Color Combo: Hello Honey, Sahara Sand, Blackberry Bliss & Whisper White.
Carmen used the popular Kinda Eclectic (wood) set to create this pretty card using the Triple-Time Stamping technique. Learn how to do this fun technique: Triple-Time Stamping pictorial. This is definitely one of those stamp sets that has fantastic, versatile images for layered stamping! Love it!
Created by Peggy Tassler. Color Combo: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive & Whisper White.
Peggy Tassler created a truly amazing "WOW" birthday card using Blendabilities Markers! She combined the gorgeous flowers from the I Like You Hostess (wood) set with the large Blended Bloom flower, with a little bit of masking and intricate cutting, for a beautiful floral bouquet.
Also features: Blooming Marvelous (retired).
Created by Tamie Ackerson at Stamping With Tamie. Color Combo: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black and Whisper White.
Tamie shared this spooky-cute card at her display at Ronda Wade's Creative Convention. I loved the ghost die-cut with the Fun Fall Framelits from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper! The cute little banners on toothpicks are awesome, too!
Created by Melissa Alexander & Bridget Ervin. Color Combo: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.
This was another cute display project from Ronda Wade's Creative Convention. Can you tell what it is? It's a tag topper for a mini wine bottle! What a cute party favor idea! Melissa & Bridget embossed the tag with the Chevron Folder, then decorated it with the Mustache Framelit and sentiment from the Let Your Hair Down Hostess (wood) set. How fun!
I'm extending my registration for my October Stamp-of-the-Month Class featuring the For All Things stamp set for one more day due to some technical difficulties yesterday.
Class is October 9. Pre-paid registration is now due TODAY, September 27, 2014.
Today, I'm sharing the final project from the class.

The leaves are starting to come down here in Fort Wayne, IN, so the pretty Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper colors are perfect for today's projects!
Background Basics—My card starts with a Soft Suede card base, folded vertically. I layerd it with a 4" x 2-1/2" piece of Color Me Autumn DSP at the top and a 4" x 2-3/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock at the bottom.
Woodgrain Texture—I embossed the Mossy Meadow card stock with the Woodgrain Texture Impressions Folder.
TIP: I like to use no tabs on the Multipurpose Platform when I run this particular folder through the Big Shot because the creases sometimes are so deep that the paper tends to tear easily when I add SNAIL. "No tabs" still gives me the texture I want without leaving the paper so fragile.
Gold Trim—I also added a Finishing Touches Edgelits scalloped die-cutborder underneath my DSP. Love that little pop of shine!
Banner Background—I created a foundation for my focal point by layering a 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" Blackberry Bliss banner with a 1" x 3-3/4" Color Me Autumn DSP banner. Both layers are fish-tailed with my Paper Snips (cut up the center, then cut from corner to center for the perfect fish-tails!).
Give Thanks Tag—I created a simple tag by punching the top of a 2" x 3" piece of Very Vanilla card stock with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and rounding the bottom corners with the Project Life Corner Rounder. I stamped the punched shape with a sentiment from For All Things in Blackberry Bliss, then added some leaves around the edges in Mossy Meadow.
Finishing Touches—I used the Gold Metal Button from the class kit to top the Note Tag. That's topped with a double-bow of Linen Thread, tied separately and attached with a Glue Dot to the top of the button. A few Gold Sequins, adhered with a dab of Multipurpose Adhesive, finish the accents.
Two Cool—For my second version, I changed the gold decorative edge to a Large Scallop Edgelit border and positioned my banners to fly to the left.
The tag is stamped with another sentiment from For All Things and decorated like the first card.

Today, I'm sharing the cute little Petite Café Gift Bag that we'll also be decorating at the class.
Pssst! Don't forget that I have Class-To-Go Kits available, too!
* * * * *
If you enjoy making and giving homemade treats for the holidays, you will love the new Petite Café Gift Bags featured in the Holiday Catalog! These cute, kraft treat bags are poly-lined to be food-safe and they are easy-to-close with a fold-down tin tie. They measure 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 8" to hold lots of yummy goodies or small gifts! And, you get 10 bags for only $5.95! What a value!
Oh, did I mention that they are really fun & easy to decorate?!
Background Basics—I stamped my entire bag with the acorns from the For All Things stamp set in Soft Suede ink. You could actually stop right there and have a sweet little gift bag that's easy to duplicate for large events.
Autumn Banners—I cut a piece of Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper to a 2" x 3-1/2" banner and I also cut a 3/4" x 4" banner from the same paper pack. I layered them and attached them to the bag with a piece of Cajun Craze Color Me Autumn Washi Tape. It's functional and adds another pop of color!
I decorated the banners with a Gold Basic Metal Button, attached with Glue Dots, and a double Linen Thread bow, also adhered with a Glue Dot over the top.
Give Thanks Label—I stamped the watercolor wash image from For All Things in stamped-off Soft Suede ink onto a Circle Collection Framelits die-cut from Whisper White card stock. Then, I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow over the top and added the acorn image in Cajun Craze next to it.
It's adhered with Dimensionals on top of a Deco Labels Collection Framelit die-cut in Soft Suede card stock, and popped up with more Dimensionals over the banners.
Finally, I added a few Gold Sequins to the label with small dabs of Multipurpose Glue.
Two Cool—For my second version, I used the branch cluster image to stamp the bag. Check out my photo of the back of the bag above and you can see how pretty it is with just the stamping alone.
The banners on this bag are cut from the same Color Me Autumn papers, but I flipped the acorn paper to the opposite side to show the Mossy Meadow mottled design. I changed up the stamping on the circle by using the branch in Mossy Meadow and a different sentiment in Cajun Craze.

As soon as I saw this wreath stamp set, I knew that I had to create a cute door card on which to hang it! I thought the traditional size card was a little wide for a door, but I didn't want to stray from the standard card size. So, instead, I trimmed a little off the side to make a smaller card front that's the perfect size!
Background Basics—I started with a piece of 5-1/2" x 7-3/4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock, scored at 3-1/2". After folding the card on the score line, I stamped the entire front, including the inside card that is showing, with the Hardwood background stamp in Crumb Cake ink.
TIP: Ink the stamp and turn it rubber-side-up onto the table, then lay your card on top. Burnish over the entire piece to transfer the ink.
Door Details—I added four door panels to the card front for realistic door detail. There are a pair of 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" panels on the top and a pair of 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" panels on the bottom. They are also inked with the Hardwood stamp, then sponged along the edges with Crumb Cake ink and adhered to the card with SNAIL.
Door Handle—Punch a 1/8" hole at the edge of the door between the top and bottom panels. Add a Candy Dot Brad Base, then top with a Crumb Cake or Soft Suede Candy Dot from the Neutrals Candy Dots.
Wonderful Wreath—Of course the show-piece of the card is certainly the Wondrous Wreath image! If you haven't yet taken a look at the video on the new features of this innovative, layered stamp, you definitely need to check it out!
Here's how it works:
Stamp the full-wreath image in a light color with the tab positioned at the top.
Stamp the partial leaf image in a darker color directly over the top using the tab for positioning.
Stamp the berry details image over the top of that, using the tab for positioning.
Use two Wonderful Fall Framelits to die-cut the inside and outside edges of wreath at the same time. The framelits also have tabs for easy positioning.
For my wreath, I stamped first in Hello Honey for the full wreath, then Tangelo Twist for the partial wreath, and Blackberry Bliss for the berries. The all-clear, photopolymer style allows you to see exactly where you are stamping, so each layer can be perfectly positioned!
Bundle It & Save! Purchase the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and Wonderful Wreath Framelits together in the Wondrous Wreath Bundle and save 15% off the cost of purchasing them separately.
Wreath Bow—After die-cutting the wreath, I popped it up with Dimensionals then added a Blackberry Bliss die-cut bow, created from the same Wonderful Wreath Framelits set. TIP: You'll likely need a small sanding block to buff off the rough edges of your die-cut shape. For the tight spots, I just use my fingernail to scrape off the residuals.
Sweet Sentiment—I added a For All Things sentiment at the bottom of the door. It's stamped in Tangelo Twist on Whisper White card stock, then die-cut with the banner from the Circle Card Thinlits set. I adhered it with Dimensionals so that it overhangs past the side of the door.
Inside The Card—I added some strips of Color Me Autumn Washi Tape to the inside of the card for some coordinating accents. About 1/8" of the Blackberry Bliss tape actually shows when the card is closed. And, the Cajun Craze tape is covering the brad from the door handle.
On my second card, I tried a slightly different Fall color combination: Hello Honey, Old Olive and Tangelo Twist.
Glittering Details—I added a Cajun Craze die-cut bow this time, which I liked better than the Tangelo Twist one I tried initially. And, if you look closely, you'll see that I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the berries on this version with the 2-Way Glue Pen.

I have to say that I'm a sucker for a simple, elegant-style card and this monochromatic Fun Fall Glimmer Leaves card definitely fits the criteria! We'll be creating this card at my "Last Thursdays" class this week!
Background Basics—I started with a simple Whisper White card base, then added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Suede card stock. The 3-3/4" x 5" neutral patterned background is from the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper pack.
Die-Cut Leaves—I die-cut the leaves from a 1-3/4" x 5" piece of Soft Suede card stock with the tiny Fall Fun Framelits leaves. TIP: Line up all three different shapes in a row, leaving room for one more at the end, and run them through the Big Shot all at once. Then, you can run the final leaf through a second time.
Shimmering Recessed Windows—I adhered a 1-1/2" x 4-7/8" piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper to the card front first.TIP: I like to use Sticky Strip to adhere it because SNAIL doesn't like to stick to the back of the Glimmer Paper very well.
Next, I added half-cut Dimensionals to the corners and in-between the windows of the die-cut layer and attached that over the top of the glimmer paper. TIP: I flipped the die-cut layer over and had the "wrong side" up because I didn't want the indents from the framelits showing around the windows.
Oh, by the way...the glimmer recessed leaves look simply AWESOME! The photos do not do it justice!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Merry Everything sentiment in Baked Brown Sugar ink onto Whisper White card stock, then punched it with the Note Tag Punch.
Bundle It & Save! Purchase the Merry Everything stamp set and Note Tag Punch together in the Merry Everything Bundle and save 15% off the cost of purchasing them separately.
Finishing Touches—I added a Gold Basic Metal Button to the top of the tag with a Glue Dot. The White Baker's Twine bow was tied separately, then adhered to the button with another Glue Dot.
Don't throw away those leaf die-cuts! Might as well use them to dress up the inside of the card!
I flipped sides for my second card, and tried a For All Things sentiment.
The elegance of this card makes it perfect for lots of occasions. I could have easily used a birthday greeting instead for an autumn birthday, or a congratulations phrase for a fall wedding or other special event. It's also a card that comes together very quickly, so it's great for mass-production thank yous!

Today's card design is one of the projects from my For All Things Stamp-of-the-Month Class! We're creating a total of 5 projects using the featured For All Things fall-themed stamp set. I've already blogged about two of the projects and you can see them at these links:
Class is October 9. Pre-paid registration is due September 26, 2014.
Background Basics—My Very Vanilla card base is layered with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blackberry Bliss for the foundation of the card front. I created a lifted layer from 3-3/4" x 5" Cajun Craze card stock that's die-cut with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits.
Lifted Layer Details— I added a 3-3/4" x 1" strip of Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper at the bottom of the die-cut layer, then added some Blackberry Bliss Color Me Autumn Washi Tape above it. Remember, you'll get a full package of the washi tape in your class kit, so you can choose your tape!
I wrapped the layer with 1/8" Crushed Curry Taffeta Ribbon, tied in a double-knot and trimmed.
Recessed Window Stamping—I stamped the For All Things watercolor wash image in stamped off Soft Suede onto a 3-1/2" square piece of Very Vanilla card stock, then added the branch in Old Olive over the top. To layer it, I added Dimensionals around the window, then positioned the stamped layer in place and adhered it to the window. Then, I went back and added more dimensionals to the rest of the back of that layer to secure it into place.
Sweet Sentiment—On a scrap piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the For All Things banner image in Crushed Curry ink, then added the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss. It's hand-cut and popped up with Dimensionals after the window layer was added.
Sensational Sequins—I added a few Gold Sequins around the image with tiny dabs of Multipurpose Glue. You'll notice that 4 out of 5 of the class projects use these sequin accents. I designed these projects with similar papers and embellishments, so you can either use them individually, or give them together as a gift. Coordination rocks!
Two Cool—My second version is on the horizonal and I tried some different stamping, so you could see how awesome these images layer with one another. Instead of the wash image, I stamped the oak leaf in stamped-off Crushed Curry for the backdrop. The sentiment is on the back layer this time. And, the acorns are stamped in Soft Suede, hand-cut and popped up with Dimensionals.
It's so fun to mix & match the elements in different ways!

LAST DAY TO REGISTER—October Countdown To Christmas Class
Let's Make Holiday Cards! Create 12 cards (6 each of 2 designs) in this stamp-a-stack style class on Saturday, October 4! Kit includes the Letterpress Winter Stamp set, a package of Frosted Sequins, and all the supplies you need to make the 12 cards! Class-To-Go Kits available.
I know you're gonna LOVE the Letterpress Winter set and how it coordinates with the beautiful colors and patterns from the All Is Calm Designer Series Papers! So wintery and pretty! Plus, have you calculated it? Seriously! This kit is a tremendous value!
Check Out The Value of This Kit! The Letterpress Winter Class Kit includes the stamp set and Frosted Sequins, plus supplies for all 12 cards with envelopes for only $40—that's only $1.28 over the cost of the supplies alone! 11¢ a card!! Plus, you'll be able to use your stamps and leftover sequins on more cards and holiday projects! Wow!
I've already shown details about the awesome Snowflake Flip Cards that come in the kit! You'll create three of each of the above, fancy flip-style, snowflake cards!
You're kit also comes with supplies to make six cards with either of the above card designs!
Background Basics—I started with a vertically cut, 4-1/4" x 11" card base from Pool Party card stock. You don't need much of the All Is Calm Designer Series Paper to bring in that beautiful, wintery color combination. I added a 4-1/4" x 1" strip of the polka dotted pattern to the top of the card front, and adhered a piece of 4-1/4" x 1-1/2" Pear Pizzazz snowfalke print on the bottom.
Season's Greetings—The gorgeous rectangle flourished frame is stamped on a piece of 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" Whisper White with Pool Party ink. I stamped the sentiment in the center with Old Olive ink. It was super-easy to position the words perfectly because of the all-clear, photopolymer style stamps!
Silver Sequins—Once the focal point was adhered to the card front, I added some silver sequins from the Frosted Sequins pack around the frame border with Multipurpose Glue. They added a lovely touch of shine to the card!
Finishing Touches—I added more silver shine with a 4-1/4" x 3/8" strip of Silver Foil along the lower paper seam. That little silver piece gives the card a little extra "weight" at the bottom for design balance and also makes it look clean, crisp and nicely finished!
Finally, I tied a small bow with 1/4" Whisper White Cotton Ribbon and adhered it to the card with a Glue Dot.
Two Cool—You know I typically like to give you two cool options with the design. On this version, I've taken all of the same elements and arranged them on a horizontal card.
I adhered the All Is Calm papers side-by-side with the Silver Foil over their seam for a lovely background.
I also changed the sentiment color to Real Red so that it really pops! The Frosted Sequins are arranged a little differently, too.
The bow is off-set to compliment the off-set background patterns. I love how a little re-positioning makes this card look completely different! Class participants can choose their favorite design for all six cards, or do multiples of each style!
DEMONSTRATORS ONLY!Want to participate, but already own the Letterpress Winter stamp set? I'm now offering a CARDS ONLY Kit for demonstrators only. Cost is $20, plus $5.60 for shipping, if needed.

Quick post today featuring a lovely card that Rita Berning designed for the Too Cool Team to create at our last Shoebox Swap. It features the Four Feathers stamp set and coordinating Feather's Framelits!
Background Basics—We started by stamping several of the feather designs in Soft Suede ink onto the Very Vanilla card base. The images are stamped off once before stamping on the card front for a lighter shade of Soft Suede.
Burlap Texture—We created a foundation for the focal point elements by laying down a 3-1/2" strip of Burlap Ribbon at the top of the card.
Fabulous Feathers—The Four Feathers images are stamped onto Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, and Cajun Craze cards stock in matching inks. The one with polka dots is actually stamped on patterned Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper. The new Feathers Framelits die-cut the feathers quickly!
Bundle It & Save! Purchase the Four Feathers stamp set and the Feathers Framelits Dies together in the Four Feathers Bundle (wood) and save 15% over the cost of purchasing them separately.
Grateful Tag—The Merry Everything's "grateful for you" sentiment is stamped in Cajun Craze ink onto Very Vanilla and punched with the Note Tag Punch.
Bundle It & Save! Purchase the Merry Everything stamp set and the Note Tag Punch together in the Merry Everything Bundle (wood) and save 15% over the cost of purchasing them separately.
Finishing Touches—After punching a 1/8" hole in the top of the tag, we tied on an Autumn Wooden Elements embellishment with some Gold Baker's Twine. Very nice!
We also added a couple more die-cut feathers at the bottom of the card for some color and 3D balance.
Thanks so much to Rita Berning for sharing this fun-to-make card at our swap!
I think Rita has convinced me that I have to own this set! Those feathers simply make fabulous stamped elements! I've seen them stamped in white on Crumb Cake, and stamped in white on vellum, and die-cut from Champagne Glimmer Paper, and gold embossed on dark card stock, and watercolored with Fall colors, and combined with the goose from Wetlands, and...oh my, so many ideas!
