Hi Stamping Friends!
Get out your hot glue guns! It's time to make some pretty, metallic, gift topper ornaments, courtesy of Too Cool team member Kathe Madsen!
Kathe recently shared these shining medallions at a team event and I thought they were fantastic!
Medallion Base—Each one is made with a 12" strip of paper that's about 1-1/2" wide, scored every 1/2" with the Simply Scored tool, and accordion folded. Or, you could use the Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die, which does all of the cutting and scoring for you! Bring the ends together and adhere them with hot glue.
TIP: The Silicone Craft Sheet is a must when hot gluing items! Nothing will stick to it, making it a superb work surface!
Add some embellishments, a string for hanging and you've got yourself a pretty ornament! I like to use them as bows on my gift boxes or haning from a gift bag—a little extra keepsake!
This Silver Foil medallion features a Red Glimmer Paper punched layer with Vintage Faceted Button and Pearl Jewel accents. Stampin' Up! doesn't carry the punch she used, but you could substitute the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch instead.
These have Gold Foil and Champagne Glimmer Paper punched layers adorned with Frosted Finishes charms. It's so fun to mix & match the metallics!
Kathe used Cherry Cobbler card stock on this one with a Scallop Trim Border Punch decorative edge. I love the Gold Foil with the red. She also gold embossed a retired Designer Builder Brad and topped it with a Large Pearl Jewel.
This Gold Foil ornament has a Silver Glimmer snowflake die-cut with the Festive Flurry Framelits and decorated with a Frosted Finishes accent.
Kathe didn't stop there! She also made some ornaments with the beautiful Calm Christmas (wood) image. The first is silver embossed onto Gold Foil and the second is gold embossed onto Cherry Cobbler. These would make awesome gift tags, too! So pretty!
The final one features an ornament image from last year's Ornament Keepsakes (wood)! She gold embossed it onto Vellum Card Stock four times, die-cut them them all with the coordinating Holiday Ornament Framelits, folded them in half and mounted them back-to-back for a gorgeous 3D ornament!

Thanks so much for sharing your lovely ornaments, Kathe!

These are gorgeous! I might even be able to put these on my tree! We have SIX cats inside and they all love to hang out around the tree. The last few years we've only put lights on them and nothing else, so much safer that way! LOL
