On Saturday, I shared an awesome project that my friend Melissa Rose from Simply Folded Roses created with some of our Stampin' Up! ribbons and embellishments.  Melissa makes unique hair accessories, so she used the items to make a pretty box topper that's also a headband!  You can see full details at my "Simply Folded" Tag A Bag Box Topper post.  I've even added Melissa's instructions on how to make that pretty Burlap Ribbon flower, so be sure to check it out! 

We had fun doing a little creative swap and today I'm sharing some cute little gift boxes that I created for her to package up her December Bow of the Month!

I wanted to keep the box simple and easy to duplicate, but still have a bit of a "wow" factor.  So, I created this snowflake box topper for the Decorative Window Gift Box.

Snowflake Topper—The Festive Flurry snowflakes were stamped in Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana and Midnight Muse, then die-cut with the coordinating Festive Flurry Framelits.  Each layer is popped up with Dimensionals, and the snowflake is topped with a Silver Ribbon bow that's adhered with a Glue Dot.

Everything is mounted on a 2-1/2" circle of Silver Glimmer Paper with more Dimensionals, for just a little sparkle.  The decorative printing on the box is still visible and adds another layer of detail.

Peek-A-Boo Window—Since I knew that Melissa would be packaging her bows inside, I wanted to somehow utilize the window of the box to showcase her bows.  So, I added some stretchy Silver Cord to my embellishment and made it into a peek-a-boo window.  Simply move it aside to "unwrap" the box and get a peek at what's inside!

Bonus Ornament—Just like Melissa's gift bow topper/headband combination, there are Two Cool ways to use my snowflake topper.  It slips off the box to become a pretty holiday ornament!  Like a little bonus gift!

I made enough boxes for all of Melissa's "Bow of the Month" club members. She makes a special bow that is exclusively available for them each month, and the box & ornament was an extra holiday gift.  I dropped off the boxes to her not knowing what her bows would look like, or how they would work with the boxes.  

When Melissa was done creating her December bows, she sent me these photos of the finished project and packaging…

Woohoo!  I absolutely LOVE how these turned out!  Her bow is so feathery and furry and festive and fun—it coordinates perfectly!  And the peek-a-boo window looks even better than I expected, because her bow is so amazingly cool!
