Two Cool Simple & Spooky Halloween Treats

Hi Stamping Friends!

Are you ready for Halloween? There is still plenty of time to order the supplies you need to create cute & spooky treat holders for this haunting holiday!

Today, I'm sharing a couple of cute & easy to create Trick or Treat projects!

But first…don't forget that there are just a couple more days to sign up for Part 2 of my Countdown to Christmas series!

Halloween Hello Coffin Treat Box

Stampin' Up! has made it easy to create cute & spooky treats this year with the Coffin Treat Boxes!  The pack contains 12 Basic Black cardstock treat boxes that are ready to decorate with ghoulish décor.

Box Basics—I simply assembled the box using Tear & Tape Adhesive for a secure hold on both the lid and bottom of the box. To decorate, I started with a 1" x 4" piece of Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper, fishtail cut to make a banner.  Next, I added a Blackberry Bliss 2" Circle punch shape that I popped up with Dimensionals.

Haunting Décor—I stamped the Tags Tags Tags Halloween image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored the outer edge with a Light Cajun Craze Stampin' Blend Marker.  The shape is die-cut with the coordinating Trio of Tags dies. I popped up that shape, too!

Finishing Touches—I had some leftover Blackberry Bliss twine from the Tags & More Accessory Kit, so I tied it into a bow and attached it with a Glue Dot.  I finished by adding a Mango Melody Holiday Rhinestone Jewels for a little bling!

The box measures approximately 2-1/4" x 4" so it holds lots of candy!  I filled mine with Hershey's Nuggets. The shine of the foil matches the DSP, but you could also wrap the nuggets with the Brightly Gleaming DSP so they matched perfectly!  Or, use the Halloween-themed Monster Bash Designer Series Paper.  How fun!

Happy Halloween Match Book Treat Holder

Here's another quick & cute Trick-or-Treat candy holder!  It's created like a match book that's upside-down.

Holder Basics—I started with a 3-1/4" x 6-3/4" Basic Black cardstock piece, scored along the 6-3/4" side at 3" and 3-1/2".  I folded on the score lines to create a little book. I added a 3" x 2-3/4" piece of Monster Bash DSP to the front cover of the match book and a 3" x 3" piece of coordinating DSP on the inside back cover of the book.

Cool Closure—I stamped the sentiment from To Every Season in Pumpkin Pie ink onto a 2" Whisper White circle, then layered that onto a Pumpkin Pie Starburst punched shape. To create the closure, I closed the front flap then positioned the circle to slightly overlap the front and attached the circle to the back of the book with a couple of Dimensionals.  The front flap will just tuck under the circle to close it, just like a match book.

Finishing Touches—I stamped the cute little bat in Memento Black onto Basic Grey cardstock, then punched it out with the Every Season Punch Pack. The bats are popped up with Mini Dimensionals.  A few Melody Mango Holiday Rhinestones finish up the look.

Candy!—This treat holder is perfect for holding one or two fun-size candy bars. I used a couple of Glue Dots to keep them in place.
