Hi Stamping Friends!

I've got a fabulous holiday card to share with you today using the awesome Label Card Thinlits die!

We made this fancy Festive Flurry card at my Wow Techniques class a couple weeks ago.  It's inspired from a card that Shelli Gardner shared at Convention, but I added some of my own twist, including making it an extended tri-fold card.

When you pull the left side to flip the card, you'll see the extended flap.  I love the addition of this extra panel so you have a nice-sized place to write a message on the inside of the card.  Plus, it's just a little more fun!

Making The Extended Flap

Creating the extended flap is super-easy!  Simply cut a half-sheet of card stock, like you would for a traditional card, but make it just a smidge shorter than 5-1/2" wide.

Slip the left side of the card stock under the Label Card Thinlit die, but keep the right side of it pulled through the die and over the top of it.  As you run it through the Big Shot, the right side will not be die-cut…

…but, it does leave a very light, and very handy, score line that happens to be exactly where you need it to fold it for the extra panel.  How cool is that?  It's Too Cool!

Snowflake Accent—I decorated the front "flip" with the smallest Festive Flurry snowflake, stamped in Island Indigo onto Whisper White, and cut with the coordinating Festive Flurry Framelits.  I stamped another snowflake in Soft Sky and cut out the center of it for a second layer, then adhered one of the gorgeous Frosted Finishes charms on top with Glue Dots.

Bundle It & Save—Purchase the Festive Flurry stamp set and Festive Flurry Framelits together in the Festive Flurry Bundle (wood) and save 15% off the price of purchasing them separately.

The Silver Glimmer Paper layer was die-cut with another framelit in the same Label Card Thinlit set.  It's sized to be slightly smaller than the Thinlit, so it has a small border around it.

Christmas Cheer—I added a 3/8" wide strip of Silver Glimmer Paper down the left edge.  The Christmas Messages greeting is popped up on a 1-1/2" x 2" layer only because I messed up the first time I stamped it on the card front.  But that won't happen when you stamp it!

Extra Flap Décor—The front of the extra panel is covered with a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece from the Winter Frost 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" Paper Stack.  I'm so excited about these stacks, because there's enough of the same pattern of paper that you can make all of your holiday cards from one pack!

I used the reverse print of the paper in the same size on the inside of the extended flap.

My 2-1/2" x 1-1/8" Smoky Slate accent is embossed with the Delicate Designs Folder that looks like snowflakes.  Then, I popped up a snowflake center shape with a Rhinestone Jewel embellishment.

Inside Flip—I kept the reverse side of the swinging label pretty streamlined (ie: no Dimensionsals).  The Smoky Slate die-cut is embossed to match the border at the bottom of the card.  Then I stamped a Soft Sky snowflake with an Island Indigo center.
