I love using stamps and punches in new and unexpected ways! Did you ever notice that the Pennant Parade stamp set has a little tree trunk so you can make the pennants into Christmas trees?! Genius! There's even a star to put on top!
Today's projects feature the Pennant Parade set, as well as the coordinating Petite Pennant Builder Punch to create cute little 3D trees! Take a look at these Two Cool cards…

3D Pennant Trees How-To
I stamped the Pennant Parade images in Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, and Garden Green ink on matching card stock. Well, that's not entirely true…I used Wild Wasabi card stock instead of Garden Green. (And, if I did it over, I'd make the other inks darker than the card stock so they stood out better.)
Then, I punched the images with the Petite Pennant Builder Punch—it takes 3 punches to make a tree. Use the Simply Scored Tool to make a score right down the center of each punch for easy folding. Then, use SNAIL adhesive to attach the sides of three punches together.
The trunks Chocolate Chip card stock cut into 1" x 1/4" strips and adhered to the backs of the trees with about 3/8" of the trunk showing.
Mini Decorative Label Punch
How do you like the mini Decorative Label Punch shape with the "merry" sentiment? It's so easy to make and perfect for those single words and tiny phrases!
Simply punch out a full Decorative Label shape. Then, stamp your words along one of the short ends. Insert the short end into the punch to punch a second time for the mini version, like this:
You can also use the same method along the wider edge to get a longer mini punch that works perfectly with many of the phrases from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. Here are both versions layered on a regular size Decorative Label punch for comparison.
Too Cool! Try this same approach to some of the other punches you may have, and discover what shapes you can make by punching a second time.
