Carmen's Bird Punch Tulips & Shimmer Embossed Card

I'm still running short on time, so I'll pull out another of my friends' cards from my emergency blogging stash...and the "winner" is Carmen DeBruce!

Carmen created this lovely project as one of the all-occasion cards in her awesome All-Occasion Card Gift Box that she gave to me for Christmas. 

The tulips are created with the Bird Punch (see more examples at my Bird Punch Tulips post) and sponged for dimension. 

My favorite part, though, is the shimmery background!  She used the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder with Crumb Cake card stock.  Seriously, with all of the fabulous looks you can create with the Vintage Wallpaper Folder, if you don't have it, you are totally missing out! 

For the shimmery look, first she lightly sponged the piece with Crumb Cake ink. then she sponged on Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint—ooooh, it has such a fabulous sheen (no not THAT Sheen!)!  Click to enlarge to see it up close.

I really like the way she rippled the Great Friend sentiment, too!  It looks like a mini-banner waving in the breeze!

Too Cool Stamping Studio Update

One coat down and 2/3 of the second coat to go on my basement painting!  It's looking so nice!  Woohoo!  I'll try to get some photos of it today, so I can show you how much better it looks in my warm, earthy River Rock and Soft Suede tones! 

I'm trying to get the whole basement all done before we get the furniture moved in...our rent-a-truck, Big Furniture Move is on Saturday!  After that, it might actually feel like I live there!  How exciting!
