Hi Stamping Friends!
Welcome to this week's Sunday Showcase! I have a wonderful collection of Easter and Spring-themed cards created by some of my stamping friends! Let's take a look!
Created by Peggy Tassler. Color combo: Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Basic Black & Whisper White.
Peggy chose the Blessed Easter single wood stamp for this pretty Easter card. I think it's a gorgeous image! I love how she used the Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim to create a textured border along the edge of the focal point.
Also features: Sweet Sorbet Sale-A-Bration Designer Paper (retired).
Created by Angie Link. Color combo: Crushed Curry, Basic Black & Whisper White.
Angie used the hand-draw flower image from Flower Shop (wood) to random stamp a floral background in Basic Black. Then, she gave each bloom a pop of color with a Itty Bitty Shapes Punch flower from Crushed Curry card stock.
Created by Peggy Tassler. Color combo: Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Pumpkin Pie, Gumball Green & Whisper White.
Oh, how adorable! Peggy made this cute chick with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch for the body and the Bird Punch for the wings. I'm guessing the tuft of feathers on his head is an altered flower from the Boho Blossoms Punch. He's standing on a branch from the Bird Punch and it's blossoming in Itty Bitty Shapes punched flowers. The eyes come from the Owl Punch, and the beak can be punched from the Petite Pennant Punch. So sweet!
Created by Peggy Tassler. Color combo: Pool Party, Basic Gray, Gumball Green, Blushing Bride & Whisper White.
Peggy made another super-cute punch art card, this time it's the Easter Bunny! She used the following punches: Large Oval Punch for feet & ears, former Small Oval for ears, 1-1/4" Circle Punch for head, 1/2" Circle Punch for cheeks, Owl Punch for eyes and toes, Small Oval Punch for heel, Boho Blossoms Punch for tail. I love the blades of grass created with the Fringe Scissors.
Created by Darla Eigenschink. Color combo: So Saffron, Tangerine Tango & Whisper White.
Darla used some simple masking to spotlight the stamping and sponging on a small portion of the card front. She stamped the En Francais (wood) background in Tangerine Tango, then sponged over the top in So Saffron with the masks in place. It's wrapped with Gold Baker's Twine, then topped with pretty Bitty Butterflies and an Elegant Butterly.
Created by Darla Eigenschink. Color combo: Pool Party, Marina Mist & Whisper White.
Darla did Two Cool versions of her card—that's my girl! I love the cooler colors in horizontal!
Created by Rita Berning, CASEd from Connie Collins at Constantly Stamping.. Color combo: Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz & Whisper White.
I really like Rita's card using the Blessed Easter stamp because she did an alternative to layering. She used the Labels Collection Framelits to make an outer frame and the stamped layer actual fits inside the window like it's in-laid. There's also some nice Pool Party sponging for some depth.
Created by Peggy Tassler. Color combo: Crushed Curry, Night of Navy & Whisper White.
This elegant Easter card would also make a terrific First Communion, Baptism or Wedding card. Peggy used the stunning single stamp called Trefoil Cross.
