Spotlight On Designer Series Paper—Part 1

Hi Stamping Friends!

This is the week to get those Designer Series Papers that you want most before they are officially announced as retired next Monday, April 10.  After that, there's no telling how soon they will sell out!

Today, I'm sharing a couple card ideas from my Too Cool Team members Rita Berning & Kathe Madsen featuring some of our pretty DSP patterns!   Shop Retiring Designer Series Papers Now

Rita's Moroccan Corner Flip Birthday Card

Oh, what a fun card style to showcase the beautiful double-sided patterns of the Designer Series Papers!  Rita used the colorful Moroccan DSP!

Corner Flip Background—Rita cut 4 patterns of Moroccan DSP into 2" x 2-5/8" pieces.  Each piece has a corner that's folded in about 3/4" from the outer edge.  The pieces are adhered to the Tip Top Taupe card base with SNAIL adhesive, with a Dimensional tucked underneath the corner to pop it up a bit.

Center Sentiment—Rita stamped a greeting from the Cake Crazy stamp set in Tip Top Taupe ink onto a Very Vanilla Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die-cut.  It's also popped up with Dimensionals, then accented with a couple of Regals Enamels Shapes.

This is such a quick and fun layout!  Too Cool!

Flower boutique special reason

Kathe's Floral Boutique Stylish Stems Birthday Card

I'm really gonna miss those elegant Floral Boutique papers!  Kathe Madsen showcased a couple of the patterns from that paper pack on this lovely birthday card!

Background Basics—Kathe started by adding a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the Floral Boutique DSP to a Night of Navy card base.  She adhered another 1" x 5-1/4" pattern to a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" strip of Night of Navy card stock, then adhered that to the card front.

Flower boutique special reason 2

Special Reason Flower—Kathe die cut the intricate Whisper White flower using the Stylish Stems Framelits, then layered it onto a Night of Navy layer. The flower is popped up with Dimensionals.

TIP: It's easy to adhere this die-cut by sponging on Multipurpose Glue on a Silicone Mat…see my helpful 7 Ways To Use A Silicone Mat video and learn how to receive a FREE Silicone Craft Mat this month!

Sweet Sentiment—The Wetlands sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink, then die-cut with the label shape from the Stylish Stems Framelits.  The Night of Navy mat is cut with the same die set!  Kathe popped up the sentiment with Dimensionals, too.
