This project features
the Sale-A-Bration Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set (I am SO gonna miss this set!) and Sycamore Street
Designer Series Paper. It's another cute and easy project that fits my butterfly theme for this month! Yay!
I stamped the butterfly in Summer Starfruit ink onto Whisper White card stock, then added the sentiment over the top in Basic Black.
If you stamp the images first, it makes it easier to center them inside the Ovals Collection Framelits for die-cutting. I also die-cut a Summer Starfruit layer and pierced the border with the help of the coordinating Occasions Piercing Pack template.
Finally, I added two Raspberry Ripple butterflies punched with the Bitty Butterfly Punch, then popped up with Dimensionals and accented with Pearl Jewels.
The background is decorated with a strip of Sycamore Street DSP, lined with a Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border on each side in Raspberry Ripple card stock. Simple and sweet!
My horizontal version uses the Scallop Edge Border Punch for the background element. I also stamped the middle butterfly on scrap card stock and punched it out. Finally, instead of piercing, I embossed the Summer Starfruit oval with the Square Lattice Texture Impressions Folder. I really like the look of that texture peeking out from the edges!
